Yah, saw the sling on Moms in mind website. Think kiddo sling is the same brand. Not sure if buy from kiddy palace got video , or it is cheaper to get online with moms in mind or the shop

Good Noon mummies...
See that a few of u are having backache problems. I am in my 23rd week now and already having the aches. Hope it does not get worse then this.

Took urgent leave today to stay home and rest. Couldnt sleep well the whole night. So afraid my company will 'kick' me for taking so many leave and MCs..haiz

RE: SLING
the video only teach u how to use and the various method. I dun have a cd i learn from other mummies too.. this adjustable sling would be difficult to start as not use but if practice often u get the hang of it soon u create ur own way and preferences...

RE: POUCH
this is fixed size no adjustment need juz throw the bb inside.. but pouch need to purchase according to your size. Like if u purchase S size but then have a big bb.. it will not fit well. Then if u get L size for a S size frame u find there be too many/long of cloth hindering u from holding bb comfortably.

Marie - u can check with ur doc which do they prefer since u can't make up ur decision. I use the carpark as my final choice as TMC carpark is terrible compare to MT A even though both is also terrible. Follow by that TMC is Really crowded as compare to MT A. Other then that i do find both hospital not bad...

SLING

If anyone is interested to have a feel of the bb sling and learn how to use, there is a shop in Thomson Plaza. Not a shop exactly, but a stall that sells slings, slings etc...

The lady is a mother herself and she shared with me how to wear the sling. A further chat, she will share on breast pumps etc..

Will go dig out the shop name and exact address, think is on 3rd floor, near NTUC...

I dun decide which hosp to give birth.. I jus signed up the TMC FBI to get discount for chk ups, parentcraft classes and hosp stay etc.. so no need to rack brains where to go... hahaa..
A friend told me Mt A better cos they provide free personal parentcraft lessons in ur ward after u give birth but i guess u need to stay longer than 3 days to enjoy peace and quiet to learn the skills to take care of bb, cos u might be crowded by visitors during when u r staying there...? 2 cents of my thots...

MIM sling,
i used the sling for my #1 till he was 1 years old. i was able to breastfeed relatively discreetly with the extra cloth that's available with the sling. my boy loves to snooze inside. only grouse is that there's too much cloth, so it gets a bit warm when you're using the sling in non-airconditioned places. otherwise, it's a great (and not too expensive) product!

for this pregnancy, i am interested to get a bb pouch from slinglings, just to try for fun. i think the material is slightly more stretchable than hotslings, according to a mummy friend who use slinglings. that said, i haven't gone to her place to try the size yet. i'm keeping a lookout for a spree/bulk purchase for it, hehee.

I went on the 7th because my back and hips were KILLING me, and until today the pain hasn't come back yet.

I've still been shifting furniture around and doing quite a bit of packing, so I really believe her massage really did me good. And it's affordable too at $38 for 60 mins.

Good service. She don't hardsell you to buy package or anything. And she has a special room where she will massage you while you lie on the bed.

I highly recommend her!

RE: SLINGS

I used the Lucky Baby pouch with my #1 and I really like it because there are no straps to fumble with. And can carry baby in many different positions also. Only downside is that it takes some practice before you get used to it and become pro.

Awww. *hugs* It must be hard to bear. My hubs has been working late for the past few weeks, and going back to work on weekends, and I'm already feeling all weird and lonely. I cannot imagine having him overseas for such long periods of time.

I hope your hubs will be around when the baby is due.

He came back just now n gave me a weird look on his face. I knew it was nothing good le. So i ask him what again this time? Nothing good right? then he say ya.. haiz..

No pt flying over.. kinda defeats the purpose of him goin over also; which is to earn more. Cos gotta fork out my air ticket. Plus now june hols. Not cheap lo. H1N1 is of cos another factor.

Seriously, if it was not so soon, 2 weeks trip is still kinda bearable for me. sort of used to it le. But now he finally back aft SO long.. then have to fly again really ARGH!!!!

He missed the NT scan, detailed scan, gynae appt aft that. n now He'll miss the next gynae appt again.. Good hor?

understood. the few days he is back is not enuf to make up for his 1.5 mth of absence hor. havent spent enuf time now gotta leave again. but as u said lor, he goes overseas is also to earn more so im sure he has no choice too.

I'm sure he will reject overseas work when near to ur due date. This is an impt date to him as its to u mah.

Yah.. last 2 weeks i also when to visit a fren who just gave birth but not at the hospital. Went to her place instead. Hear ppl sayt very gd to go hospital at this pt of time. Her son is just so adorable. The feeling is just so different esp when we are also preg now. even the cry of the bb makes my heart melt... Cant wait to carry my own in my arms...

Aiyoh, the gyn's knife cos the injury. Oh my goodness, my knees went weak when i read your post.They should ask the gyn for some sort of compensation wat. They pay her for her service leh. This is so unacceptable.

hi ladies, i booked the massage today eveing at compassvale as recomended by one of the mummies here..hopefully it's good ;p

i had a shocked and scared for the 1st time yesterday in this pregnancy. Around 11am yesterday, i saw reddish brown stain on my panties, was very panicked and call my hubby immediately. Then, we rushed down to our gynae clinic at CCK, luckily baby is fine. Otherwise, i will feel very guilty. I guess it happened because i was too stressed over my work for the last few days. Didnt sleep well at all, wake up in the middle of night with works on my mind all the time!! I m so tired and too stressed over it. Thus, my gynae gave me 3 days mc to rest at home.

Just wanna share my experience with all the mummies here...dun get to stress up! i think somehow it will affect the baby as well.

Rach, yes, I've booked aunty Lifen for confinement. I found her through the same webpage.

Now I know that she also confirm to take u for confinement, I really wonder who will eventually do our confinement. She din mention to me they work in a team of 3. At the very least, dun fly me kite.

I would suggest that u call her to re-confirm your booking. I first called her to book the confinement abt 2mths ago, she took down my details and said will call me again when I'm in 5th mth to re-confirm. But I did not receive her call. So I called her, then she said did not have my number...so r you so-&-so.... then after flipping a few pages on her notebook, she say ya ya, I have your booking here. A bit scary leh.

I plan to do a good confinement this time, get proper rest and very likely close factory liao. I must agree that confinement is important, I can really feel that my health had not been as good after giving birth to my #1.

I'm also seeing WK Tan. I delay my appt by 1 wk so that I can still see her after her leave. I ever heard if WK Tan is on leave, we can choose to see either M Tan or TC Chang. I think TC Chang is beter, my cousin also complain abt M Tan when WK Tan is away.
