Good morning mummies!
mama5, flower4,
most likely I will be delivering in August I guess coz previously I had premature delivery at 35 weeks. This time, doc advise me to stay at home from July to try to delay labour. Hopefully can delay till abt 38 weeks, that will be ideal.
What does VBAC stand for? I know it probably means virginal birth. Yes, I'm going to try if no other complications but last minute stuff, you never know. Previously I even wanted to try without epidural but even the initial stages were quite painful already so I don't think I can tahan the pain.
breastpump
Just to share experience with those 1st time mums. I was using Medela Pump In Style Advance (PISA). It is the top of the range Medela good for working mum's who need to pump regularly. Plus it has a cooler bag all packed nicely into a back pack so quite neat for bringing out. However, if I were to buy another one this time, I may choose Avent Duo coz Medela was quite painful to use in the beginning. (But after a while, the nipples quite numb to it already.) Heard that Avent is not so forceful. Plus I think the wide neck teats for Avent bottles is easier for breastfed babies to adapt. My baby refused the normal teats previously so he end up using Avent bottles and teats. If I were using Avent pump and the bottles for storage then don't need to keep transferring the milk I guess.
I have lent my pump to a friend for the moment. If it comes back in good order I will continue using it. If not then I'll probably get the Avent Duo. Avent Duo is more expensive than Medela PISA though.
baby fair
buying things end of this month still a little early right? I think Taka usually has baby fair in late Mar/Apr. Quite a good time to buy. Lots of discounts on strollers, cots, pumps etc.
