why u ask that? cos only chinese gave birth to so many? hahah....

im local lah. just happen to be one of those family who like kids! my oldest are (twins) P2 this year. this preg is a bit unexpected for me cos i didnt know i was preg until i went for routine pap smear n gynae did routine scan and told me im preg! imagine my shock

rach: Thanks for your advice. Yah, my breasts has been pretty tender for the past 3 weeks. So far, the nausea is still manageable. My hubby is very worried though. This is our first try. I keep telling him that it's quite normal but he still pretty worried about me. Now I'm excused from mopping the floor and carrying heavy stuff.

Haven't been spotting yet, thank God. Though I experienced some cramps when I got too agitated scolding my students. Then I tried to relax and calm down, the cramps went away. Sigh...

I've been taking folic acid since dec 08 cos we were intending to try for a child. Now, I'm making a conscious effort to drink more milk. I read in another post that fresh milk is better than the powdered ones for mothers cos there's less trans fat. Dunno whether it's true. But fresh milk is pretty $$. So I'm alternating between fresh and powdered. I'm wondering whether I should just take calcium pills and forget about the milk. If I drink too much milk, won't I get extremely fat during my pregnancy? Then, won't it be very difficult to slim down after that.

jul04> no drunkard will admit they are drunk... hahaha... if u can think of that.. i think u are just over worrying...

now is just hormones changing.. we tend to be more emotional.. just dun let it affect u or get the better of u.. it'll be fine after a while.. sometimes. i also feel like crying.. then i'll be like...cry for what?? then i think of more positive and happy things lo..

mama to 5Js> no... only Malays give birth to that many nowadays.. hahaha... chinese usually dun..

Actually I believe fresh food sources are best. Drinking milk is healthier than popping pills. More natural I feel. U can drink low fat milk if u're worried abt the weight.

rach

Haha like this ah... I hate my face now. grr!

Babylet_Got_Heartbeat:

True, true. Okay lor, milk it is then. I better watch the rest of my diet. I've been eating all sorts of junk food. Now I better learn to eat healthy...

new mtb

Do what u can. Sometimes with MS, it's hard to control what to eat. Just try to be as healthy as u can lor.

I asked gynae for clcium pills, then hubby told me not to take. He bot me soy milk instead. I can't talke milk as I'm lactose intolerant. If not, I will drink HL liao.

new mtb> haha.. relax la...
happy.gif

cramps are pretty normal... as long as no spotting.. u can wait till after CNY.. quickly go see gynae...
or u can call and make an appt first...
Gynae appt doest mean u are preggers.. hahaha... so its not lying.. but the nurse will ask u though..
u can say dunno i guess.. hehehe.. :p

take low fat milk loh..
happy.gif

i think reduce oily food..thats the best we can do.. i just had a packet of nasi lemak...
and ever since Little Nonya.. i've been craving for Mee Siam.. u know the one tht Yueniang supposed to cook for Chor Chor for her 80th birthday!??
I still cant find a nice one.. missed the one at Parkway Parade though... hahahah.... its spicy and sour... drool.....

jul04> haha... it'll get better..
happy.gif

i drink soy milk till i wanna puke.. scared of the taste liaoz.. what brand u drink?
i take Nutrisoy reduced sugar....

Babylet_Got_Heartbeat:

I used to be mildly lactose intolerant. I'll vomit and diarreah when I drink milk. Then I started by drinking 1/4 glass of HL milk every alternate day. Slowly I increase the amount and the frequency. Now I'm ok. You may want to try, else soya milk and bean products should be ok too.

rach:

I was thinking of seeing a gynae after 8 weeks cos I thought too early cannot really detect much. Besides, most packages start from 12 weeks.

Now, I'm looking around for a gynae. Read quite a bit about Dr Ho from TMC. Heard his stitching is 'painless'. But I don't know whether I'll feel comfortable with a male gynae.

POh I loved the mee rebus at Parkway Parade food court. The same stall that sells only mee siam, soy bean & chin chow. Oh.. I miss chin chow!

I also drink Nutrisoy. I find that's the best tasting brand liao. The rest, wah liew, cannot drink one *ugh ugh* How much do u drink? I only drink a cup every 2 days.

new mtb

I wish I had tot of that earlier. Now preggie liao, I dun dare to trial & error. Coz I get diarrhoea rather than puke.

Ok I m gog off to bathe & rest. Chat later

Tata!

new mtb> Mmm.. i think by 8 weeks can see much liaoz..

jul04> yes yes.. its the same stall we are talking abt!!! Man.... yeah yeah.. but its not at Banquet Food Court already rite?? Parkway underwent some big renov last few years.. hehehe... :p

Wah.. a cup every 2 days.. where got enough?? according to books..we need 4 glasses of milk DAILY.... i drink one cup a day loh... sometimes one before i sleep... so makes it 2... but... the smell i cant stand it liaoz.. i love it before i was preggy.. i always drink last time no prob.. think my bb dun like.. hur hur hur....

anyone uses Face shop products here???

I am thinking of geeting milk powder for myself (those for pregnant woman eg Efagrow) or the marigold fresh milk is better??

i am taking the chocolate flavour annum and Meiji plain milk... alternating them so that i won't get sick of the taste. My gynae told me before that the milk for pregnant woman is better, but of course, more fat lor...

No lah, this is my 3rd. Will take a break after this bb pops, coz all csec. Hb n i initially wanted 4, but I suppose it may be hard to achieve since csec
sad.gif
The good thing is, my gynae said he's delivered up to the 5th child by csec before, so I know he's experienced at multiple csec deliveries.

babiesmeme, i think i am 4 weeks + pregnant. Haven't seen a gynae yet, so not very sure.

Ladies, i had a sudden stomach cramp last night. It was very fast, lasted less than 1 minute but was quite painful. No spotting though... anybody experience this before?

hi girls, can i know how you count the no of weeks that you are preg. is it from the 1st day of the last mense or from the day you think you ovulated?

hahha, rach, the edd is based on babycenter only, i shld be in end sept. i will have the exact edd when i go see gynae next mth.

ya, waiwai, the confinement soup at tmc is simply thumbs up!! i don mind going back to tmc again for their soups, yumyum!

hi pepper, it is the first day of the last menses.

hi babiesmeme, u will get to know the bb's heartbeat from 6weeks onwards.

caspinall, i think brown discharge is also considered as spotting... sorry, don't mean to scare you, but i had a miscarriage last year even though heartbeat was detected at week 7.

Hi
Anyone still drive the car while pregnant?
Or better don't drive thru out the pregnancy?
I'm going to be 8 weeks.
Realise that the seat belt getting tight, made my tummy uncomfortable while driving.

Hi Kiki and babylet,

have pm u gals.. sorry for the delay.. been quite tied up.. yesterday night went to scrub my toilet.. this morning experienced spotting.. damn worried.. was still thinking wanna wear my new high heels shoes for CNY, think i'll be a gd gal and wear flats instead

Jiahui:

I think it's ok for the first 2 trimesters. You can refer to this website http://www.babycenter.com.sg/pregnancy/travel/seatbeltexpert/.
But please remember to drive safety, slowly and carefully. However, most of my friends stop driving in their last trimester as their tummy is quite big already and the air bag may injure the baby. In your last trimester, try to sit behind the driver. It's supposed to be the safest seat.

Katherine Goh:

ai yo, try to ask ur hubby to do stuff like scrubbing and mopping leh. Yah, it's definitely better to wear flats. Don't worry, it's only for this year. Next CNY can wear heels liao!

Freesia.. I got that same feeling 1 night also.. the night b4 i finally visited a gynae after doing pregnancy test twice at home.. so was asking the doc if is normal...for my case... he says its normal cos the BB is growing...so the abdomen area is like also expanding to fit the BB...
