I did not do that. i told my hb if in future she refuse to sleep in the cot u look after yrself. then he go and carry her in lor. :p

Oh... i see, my hb decided to order the 1 w/o cupcakes. the traditional 1 its enough he said.

Yea alittle hard to tahan, I came back to Singapore when I was 7 mths preg, we were separated for 2.5 mths. So this time round considered short. No choice !! Just bear with it for awhile, this too will pass.

My girl is only 13 days old, I noticed that after every feed,(she fell asleep after finishing the bottle). Even though already slping she wants to be in my arms for awhile (10mins or so) before she can sleep by herself in the cot. If I put her down immediately she will open her eyes + start crying. But I am concern if this short 10mins of cuddle after each feed will create a long term problem ???

What is CLUSTER FEEDING ?

i oso wanna use ur method.. but i living with my in law.. they are giving me pressure.. haiz.. then i always listen and then complain to my hubby... then my hubby unhappy (he dun like to listen to such complains haha) but i heck care.. just complain.. i rather complain to him then blow my top in front of my in law. haha
when my #1 born... they have things to say.. now #2.. same thing again haizzzzz. gotta ren ren ren... i moving to my house next yr!

lina> i oso dunno, but i try my best not to carry bb. cos my parents, frens, relative when come to visit bb, oredi keep carrying him. i'm afraid he'll end up not wanting to sleep himself. ended up, i'll be in trouble. so other than when i'm feeding him, i dun carry him.

i'm not sure if cluster feeding refers to feeding on n off many times within a few hrs. keke. maybe can ask mamato6js?

haa... like threaten them. so bad. after this incident i was thinking if can send her off better.
Who knows today she told me that she got to leave on the 11th means she only do half mth. due to her sis sick hv to bring her to malacca, dunno wat illness cant hear her clearly cos she cried. she wanna ask her fren to stand in, i told her dont nid, u can go.
 
im finally BF directly my bb!! im so happy though nipples r sore!!
im surprised my supply can last him 3 hrs interval =)
but im not pumping since latching liao..

and my MIL is out of my hse since sat nite but they left real late at 11pm even though the full mth celebration ended 6pm+... then they r like ghost.. came yesterday without calling and today again, without calling! sianz...

bb poo-ing more than 4 times a day is due to BF right?
 
oh.. but im worried abt going out with bb and needing to feed him when outside.. to feed with FM or latching on directly... my skills r not gd.. n bb shriek real loud when hungry..

i din get any nursing top at all too

Hahaha I also want to be SPG and marry angmoh leh, but angmoh like petite girls and I am so big-sized they don't even want to look at me.

KP mittens is like those you mention lor. So big until 1 yr old also can wear. I think mittens should come in sizes hor? All free size machiam not even the correct size for newborns!

Now that my period is back, I am starting to go through phases of bloating again liao. Not hot liao lah.
I also drank my own BM before leh. But more to try the taste/freshness than to actually drink it lah. Wasted for me to drink leh!

It's not a sign of overfeeding unless he regurgitate alot of milk. It's common to have some spit up. My #1 was termed "spit up boy" by us cos every single time he burp, he'll also bring out ALOT of milk.

Ytd I never let K wear mittens cos he suck/lick them until so wet, I wanted to "air" his smelly fingers and not cover it all the time mah. End up now got this tiny red line on his nose. Scratched himself.

J cannot latch! He bites!! Then he still grin at me lor! KNS.
Kids somehow lose the ability to latch and suckle correctly after using bottle for a while, not to mention J has been on bottle for almost 2 yrs already!
He CHEWS his bottle teats until all pua kang one lor! Imagine he do that to my nipple! I fainttttt!!!

I ordered the Ameda Lactaline liao. They will deliver to me tmr. Ho ho ho.
I cannot wait that long to bring in from overseas lah. My wrist veins all pop out sibei jialat liao!
 
My babies kept crying. Diaper changed and already fed them. Carry them n they just cry n cry. How? What will happen to them if we just let them cry nonstop?

jus latched bb on on one side at 10.30pm, he cried hungry again at 11.45pm.. so gave him the other side, he pooped a bit so changed his diaper and he is wide eyes open still... left him alone to play n make himself tired... cried again 5 mins later... managed to simmer him down a bit.. cried again.. gave him EBM n he drank 40ml only...
put him back to cot aft burping but still wide eyes... few mins later cried again... louder each time... i made FM and he is drinking now.... :/
so my BM is not enuff...

hubby commented i latch on during the day even though feeding is quite scheduled but cannot know how much bb is drinking... :/

and now my nipples are really really sore.... cannot latch on now.. need rest... damn sad... my nipples are those short and almost inverted type

Michelle,it's really very tiring. They take turns to cry and I also don't know what else they want. Now both of them have their eyes opened so wide. I thinking of adding DOM in their milk.

Nothing will happen to them if they just cry and cr lah.
At worse they just end up puking a little, or having a sore voice.
At best they just fall asleep after getting tired from crying.
But because not all moms are comfortable with letting their babies cry it out, do what you're comfortable with.

If they really won't stop crying, and you're running out of ideas, try these:
- If you or your husband drives, try putting the babies in their carseats and bring them for a drive. Most babies fall asleep in a moving car.
- Alternatively, use a pram. But some kids totally hate sitting/lying in a pram.
- Sling them. It provides more comfort than simply carrying them cos they're wrapped up snugly in most slings/pouches.
- Sarong. Bad habit, but saves your sanity.

If all else fails, sometimes you just really have to let them cry.
What I've been told was that sometimes babies get "culture shock" from their fast developing minds that they just cry nonstop from it.
There's hardly anything we can do to alleviate it, unless we want them to stop developing physically &amp; mentally.
But like all other things pertaining to babies, this is just a phase that will pass too.

Are you 100% certain you have low supply?
It is not uncommon for babies to cry for other reasons after they are fed, changed, hugged, pacified, etc.
Esp since you mention you gave him EBM and he drank 40ml only, means his reason for crying is NOT hunger.
If he was truly hungry cos your supply is low, then why would he only drink 40ml, right?

It actually sounds like your bb is bored and he wants attention.
Try not to just keep giving him milk whenever he cries?
Babies have more needs than just milk and changing diapers. Despite how we are told that all babies do is drink, sleep, poop. It's a horde of bullshit lor.
Most of them also want attention in the form of cuddling, talking to them, or to just be in the living room where everyone is congregated.
Like K, if I put him in his cot when everyone is up and in the living room, he will scream his lungs out until I put him in the living room with all of us. Then he can diam diam sit on the couch happily just watching all of us do our things.

I don't read trashy novels. At all.
Ok fine, I read a few chapters of one in my teenage years and got so turned off by the exaggeration that I never picked up another one again. Sibei kua zhang lor! Especially those "throbbing manhood" descriptions. Eeew. Like real lah!

Personally I feel things get easier by the time they turn 6 mths old. But some ppl feel it only gets harder as they get older and start having itchy hands that touch/destroy everything. Then there's the schooling woes, teenage rebellion stage, etc etc.
I guess it depends on what kind of "easier" you're looking for lor.

He doesn't seems that satisfied in the evening... so dun worry.. just press on..

I finally found the reason why I couldn't get my supply up previously. My mummy have been cooking herbal chicken soup for me and inside got TANG GUI

anyone of u have sent your child to vaccination,cos hepatitis 2nd dose should be 1mth after birth rite?u will opt for polyclinic or pte GP?price izzit the same?

Did not really compare current prices but the price my PD quote me for 6in1 ($133 per dose) seems to be cheaper than what my other kids took many years ago... price of these vaccines drop? *^_^*
 
for my 1st son i paid for 5 in 1 in polyclinic was $294.cos hepatitis 3 dose already been paid when i gave birth in sgh.wat is PD?so this time i have not decide yet.

My baby never take Hep B after birth cause PD say the HepB injection not very good (say got mercury content).. better take 6in 1 which consist of BepB also.

and my girl likes it..she jsut love being carried...and then can fall asleep in my mum's arms..
but once my mum put her down to cot, thinking she's asleep..she wakes up immediately and cry again..
so... if diaper changed, fed and still cry, still want bao bao.. or could be uncomfortable....
or she just dun want to stay in my miserable cramped room...she can cry cry cry...then bring her to living room then she okay liaoz.. hhee...

it's been some time since I logged in. Been sleeping most times apart from waking to BF, eat and entertain my 3 other kids. Have been sleeping so well that my maid got to wake me up to BF cos I didn't hear bb wailing at all.

Lucky got a maid to help with household chores and stuff.. if not, hard to keep my sanity without sufficient sleep.

Just made a call to Ecreative to order full mth packages and told them to charge to my credit card after surfing online. I called a few and this is the only one who said they have the halal sign printed on the box cos my Muslim colleagues are very particular. Anyone knows if their cakes are good?

Still wondering if I should just despatch my hubby to settle bb's full month hairshave alone... Feel like hibernating for another week before going out of the house.

My PD says... wind that just go into tummy can be burp out..once into the small intestines, can only be out via farting..

My princess is 4days old already! Got grumbles and happy stuff to share:

1) She got jaundice =( left hospital only 106, day 3 shoot to 170, today 174. Haiz need to go back for blood test (AGAIN) on friday. Poor thing get pricked again and again =(

Wonder if it has really got to do with our difference in blood type? Me ish A+, she ish AB+!! omg.

Wonder has it got to do with the ginger and tonics my MIL and mum cook for me?

2) 1st night at home, hub and MIL give her FM AND water, say i not producing enough milk thats why she keep crying and asking for feed. I got so upset i went out of the room and cried. I don't want to start on bottle SO FAST! I know they want to let me rest but even hub also don't support me. I super upset. Then i explained why, they then "understand"... I don't mind waking up to feed lor! ORBIT. NEVER EVEN ASK ME. just do what they like argh!

3) MIL very nice to come out from m'sia to help do confinement but she leaving next week. Cant complain much since she give advice but never really reinforce on me. I wear shorts and shirt she only say "pei fu ni" :p Ask me try to not bathe everyday, i explained why i cant lo. Hair i can la, but u ask me not to bathe cannot lo, so hot and sticky plus i BF... later bb find me smelly i cham -.- But i know she say for my own good la scared i old liao alot of dai ji like feng shi.. i ish stubborn :x

4) Milk came in on 3rd day. Damn happy. Last night lou nai when feeding her on one side. haha damn funny -_-" started to pump but only got 30ml after feeding her.. normal right? Even hub also ask... so little ah? O_O must be leak finish when bb latch =x Pumping make my nipples sore can, not latching -.-''

5) Still cant believe i could endure the pain of labour!! HAHAA... Share my birthstory next time... couldnt have done it w/o the midwife also.. hehe Now have to endure the pain of the stitches... and yeah I want to see but dare not see the stitches leh >.< Coz walk and stand and sit also uncomfy!!! Wee wee got stinging pain on day3 lo. Then want to poo poo also scared (coz labour they ask me to push like i constipated)... I got stuck in the toilet for duno how long then know wee wee more pain than poo poo Hahahaa.. poo poo no pain! heng ah!! But cough also a bit pain lo...

6) Pampers NB give my bb diaper rash even when i put desitin, switched to Huggies NB, she seem better. I avoided putting desitin first, see if iz the diaper reaction.

7) BB bathed for the first time yesterday, and she was damn awake for the following hours. This morning wake her up at 4 to feed and she also become wide awake -.- I sleepy also cannot sleep. I am officially a member of the Panda MAMA club.

8) Still thinking of her Chinese name!! Duno should i go suan 8 zi not.. heh

9) Scared that i overfeed her leh.. how to know she is overfed?? I only know she is contented, when she dun cry when i change her diapers. Otherwise, she will be wailing like no one's business.. -_-" faint.

10) Still thinking whether to hold buffet or send cakes for 1st mth heh...

11) Been camwhoring her everyday. Will upload pics soon :p Otherwise those who added me on FB can view via my pics.. my friends uploaded and tagged me =)

12) Empress has been complaining to MIL!!!! Even my MIL also know to hear and go out from other ear. OMG. Empress kept complaining about hub and me!! OMG. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER? Complain about her son some more! Wah liew. I also paiseh and explain to MIL. Heng she still quite understanding -.-' Else sure bring whole house down -.-''

13) BB pooed on me twice and i almost kena wee also. Almost coz it happened on her changing mat. Haha. Now change diapee also faster. Got to train hub to learn to change liao -.- How u all "train" hubs to learn to change diapers and stuff ah? hehe

Ok that's all for all the ramblings and grumblings of my 4days of motherhood...

oh and i been drinking warm water and made 2 cups of ribena! =x will affect anything not? No socks and long pants too!!! =x
 
oh btw forgot how long EBM can be in fridge max if i want to mix with next pump before freezing? kellymom's say 8days??? Don't recall it being so long leh..

and i'll be left with bb alone liaoz..
and she's real busy today...

preparing the last set of vinegar pig trotters for me... so that i can eat tmr, till it finishes...
this is like the only dish that can be eaten for a week... ahhaha...and i asked her to cook a big pot..so that i can eat till i shiok..
i've never loved this dish..but surprisingly, i crave for it... during confinement.. hehehe.. have eaten it 5 times.. and one last big pot from tmr till i finish it..

And she's dicing up all the ginger into bits...to fry with sesame oil for me to keep into bottles..so that i can eat with my food for the remaining 10days... till 40 days...

and she changed the bedsheets, mop the whole house etc.... hehehe..
and now she KNOWs that i dun give bottle EBM until i say so..and she ask me even at nite.. if i wanna give EBM.. hehehe....though its a practice that we give 1 bottle a nite..and thats the only time my gal drinks bottle.. hehe.. :p

I think I'll miss her... and her food! Definitely nice.. ahaha..to me..and no one to help with cleaning the house, the baby, the clothes, the poo and pee...etc etc...

GOsh... i prob wont be here that often..
ahhaha..
but if i can manage.. i will definitely be here still heheh.. :p

I also keen to know because bb detergent and softener are very expensive. And, when can we start using normal dish washing detergent for them?

Im using baby washing powder. Not sure whether is it necessary anot? Its PH balance and safe, gentle formula to ensure no irritation to babies sensitive skin. normal 1 maybe will irritate baby skin if the baby skin is sensitive.
 
bbq98> dunno leh. de bb detergent. every 3wks finish one pack. very taxing on the pockets leh. same as bb wipes. every 4-5days finish one refill pack -_-"

Hiw can it be? U finish every 3 wks. Dont have to put alot ba. Your baby wipes also heavy use hor? my baby now 12 days old im still using the wipes that bought back from hospital.
