just to share: i bought a kodomo tooth brush for shayna, specially amde for toddlers.. it has the kind of bristles that adult brushes have.
Wah, it works so much better at cleaning than those with the rubber bristle like tollyjoy/ piegon. Shayna's teeth were yellowish b4. now i use this brush liao, not yellow liao!

Talking abt holidays, hubby said he wanna go HK again .. aiyoh, every time go HK de ... can't he change the destination? TW is nice oso mah.
Anyway, have signed ovann for another term at GUG cos i've seen he's learnt something from the class. Though he's still as playful (he upgraded from climbing chairs to climbing tables yesterday ...), i do find that he enjoys the class.
Dunno why he's super cranky today ... everything oso dun want. Go pom pom? Shake head. Change diaper? Shake head. Wear pants? shake head ... Not sure if its due to the mmr he just taken or simply tired cos he slept late & woke up early.

Yesterday called up Aquamarine to make reservation for dinner on 22 dec, and it's already fully booked!!! I thot it was just some gimmicks when the papers reported 2 weeks ago that several restaurants were fully booked for the festive season .. so it's real huh ...

Ooh ... a couple of songs, together with the hand actions, oh, i dun mean he knows how to sing lah ... haha ... just that he recognise the songs and will start doing those hand actions when we sang the songs.
Then he's also learning the phonics thing? Yesterday was the 4th lesson, and he started to picked up A(alligator) and B(bear). The majority of his classmates are abt 1 or 2 mths older than him and they already knew alot of the alphabets since they attended classes earlier than him too.
I espcially like the music class and i can see that he really likes it too. When the teacher blows the bubbles, can see his delighted face, walking around to touch the bubbles
But he's still a monkey in the class .. hummph ..

ya, kodomo toothbrush does the job fine. We have a family
toothbrushing routine at night so she's also happy to participate.

try udon? Noodles? Pasta? I buy the dry udon so when I need I just cook like spaghetti.

I got it from the supermarket. Ntuc bishan, isetan and mediya should sell. I usually just do a simple soup base like abc soup and add the udon (after cooking it). Usually just fry minced pork, onion, potato and carrots and add a little water. Simple to eat and she likes it.
For pasta, I also fry onions with minced pork/beef/fish and carrots, frozen corn, tomatoes and add tomato paste. If I have spinach, I add that too. But nowadays I hardly make pasta coz my gal isn't very keen on pasta unlike her bro. I cook more udon coz she prefers that. She more cheena.

I'm making beef stew again today and i'm very happy to say ovann is eating more! Previously he'll take very very long just to finish 2 tablespoons of rice and he'll gag alot along the way. Today, he takes slightly longer but he ate more and no gagging! I'm so happy ... beef stew is so much easier to cook than porridge ... haha .. lazy mum

no lah my girl is coming 3yr old (but at 18mth she knows briefly how to brush her own teeth liao)
but now i let my boy brush his own teeth too...

cos next yr he will be in playgroup and like his jiejie need to brush own teeth...

actually if they see u brushing their teeth, after a while they'll know how to liao. Dont expect perfection but they'll know the motion of it..
karen: that really depends lor... I usually judge by the rice bowl. About 2/3 of a bowl is enough bah. Sometimes a bit more if really hungry.

circumsized for personal hygiene purpose. cos i've seen children who don't know how to pull the foreskin to wash their penis clean then got infections which is worse. and if they do it at an older age, it's going to be even more painful cos they already understand what is pain etc. so i insisted to do it for my boy. i told my hb unless he's going to wash for my son every time he bathes till quite big, i'm going ahead.

Yeah they're really like sponge these days. Sam's being surprising me with new words everyday. Over the past week, i've heard radio, vacuum, biscuit, gorgor, chair, light, stuck!

Sam has been using pillow since 12 mths, if i rem correctly. Or maybe it was earlier? He likes to sleep with his head on it.

Rashes: Caden got some red spots like rashes on his stomach, running nose too for a couple of days went to see gp yesterday said he ganna virus attack no cream given too just gave some oral prescription .. This morning not clear .. No fever running nose subside .. still play like nobody business .. Am I suppose to be alarmed?

my boy got his rashes attack again abt 1 week+ ago.. some were big red patches and some were red spots.. bring to doc and say is urticaria(feng mo).. then last friday, brought him to his follow-up for allergy.. the doc also say so.. din gave any cream this time too, oni zrytec.. the rashes took my boy abt 1 week to subside.. the doc din mention say sometimes urticaria can be no reason, then sometimes is trigger by some sickness.. and he is still monstering around too..

pegs:: i oso super headache over bfast... im sure my girls r very very very sick of the nestle 'gluey' cereal which they have been taking since 10mths ago (at least..or more?!?).. i see liao oso getting quite er already! the last few days, din really gv them the cereal, tried to substitute with some bread (which they dun really like...juz like me!).. some chee cheong fun (but cant not able to take too much).. smtimes bring them out for hotcakes (but not possible for my mum/helper to bring them out).. tried cornflakes / honey stars (but eat them like snacks only..with or without milk, they cant take much oso)..

how abt chee kway wo the chai po?
i was quite surprised when denson pick up the toothpick n start poking the chee kway and eat on his own.. very very fast.. ate 1 n a half chee kway within 5mins...

i tried gg sm chwee kway oso le.. but ya.. hw much is enuff? 1 or 2 enuff mah? for me..i tink i need 6 or 8 leh. bahaha~ anyways, do u all order without cai por or juz scrap it away when gv the little ones? if order totally plain..like very plain rite? haha.
i tired chiffon cakes, madelein..before oso.
had gvn econ bh, veg bh..etc, but those more like to taste, they wun b able to eat much.
hw abt those other kweys r, can we gv overnight de? as like buy the night before, then put in fridge, n steam or watever heat it up in the mrng to give them? they can take overnight food mah?

I think so long as u store properly, it's ok if overnight.
I've been giving biscuits, cheerios, honey stars for breakfast. Milk less though coz I give milk in the bottle. I tried giving her cakes, chee chiong fun, carrot cake but she spit them out. Doesn't like bread too.
U can give pancakes or waffles too? I tried waffles once for h. Response is so so only.

Have u gals started toilet training? I was very fed up with cleaning up last week becoz of her freq loose stools so I put her on the toilet bowl. She has seen her bro on it before with a book. So she was rather receptive abt it compared to the potty. Gave her a book and she happily sat on it altho first time still needed some coaxing. She has been able to poop in it and yesterday did her biz twice there. So happy. Then today, she indicated that she wanted to go toilet and indeed she poop again there.
it's so much easier compared to her bro. Her bro was only toilet trained at 3.5. Hopefully she can be toilet trained by the time she is 2 years old.

hi mummies, need some quick advice.
we're going for a short trip (5D4N) and i'll be bringing a small slow cooker there. my girl doesn't really take outside food well so i decided to cook porridge for her. i bought some bottled heinz food to go with the porridge. was thinking of what else i can bring/cook there?
any suggestions pls? i may not have access to a fridge for the first few hours so freezing is out of question

can bring carrots and some veg? Carrots no need freezing. Or dried gou qi, mushrooms, scallops. But u better check the customs if they allow u to bring produce. Some are rather strict abt it.
