actually they can only start Feb2011, I intend to let my boy start after CNY.
so maybe can still be on the waitlist? at least once there's an opening, you can have the option to transfer to a nearer one

already on wait list, but the centres were saying very little chance. some are even full for 2011 registration. now is on waitlist for 2012...a bit crazy lor.

btw yr link has those magnetic alphabets, it's 15rmb for 1 set or 1 piece? if 15rmb for 1 set, i want 5 sets...can order?

at least u got chance to sign up for infant care, my side infant care also no vacancy, and we were on wait list when i was 6mths preggy till now.

actually those already in infant care has it easier cos they auto upgrade to childcare/nursery class when they turn 18mths.

I agree with bobo ... it's a danger to teach kiddos that "dogs are bad, must beat" etc. Cos like wat bobo said, if it's our own dogs still ok (although i won't teach my kid to hit my dog oso), but if it's other people's dog, it's potentially dangerous! I know becos my dog is very sensitive to sudden movements .. so if anyone raise their hand, whether to pat or to hit, she'll immediately turn defensive and may bite. So piggy, i think u have to 'un-teach' kyler abt how he shld behave when dogs are around.

On another note, Ovann just showed 'love-love' to coalie last nite! When we said love-love, ovann will lean his forehead against ours to show love .. and he did it to coalie

certain thing i can onlly correct when i saw it n they do it infront of me n nowaday my HB is the 1 pickin him up so i got no idea what is goin on there only get to know thru my HB lo.. so i envy u SAHM no doubt tired but discipline n other area i find better

heard that there's a cold drift affecting china and taiwan this week and since Japan is in the same region, you might want to bring along 1 thicker jacket for Ovann just in case...

if use for $700per mth childcare...14mths finish the CDA le
if sending both girls to childcare then maybe u can cut down 1maid? I see it expenses..I wanna faint!

I placed Ryan on waiting list for the first one I visit! Damn kiasu but no choice...neighbourhood one also full!
So place first before I go search other childcare

if say we require bus transport service...both pick-up frm same plc to same sch..oso need to pay for 2 prsn! n i checked ystrday, sch bus to-fro cherie hearts corporation is abt $140+ per kid/mth!!! so, no way!!!!!

yeah, they learn very fast. zac learnt not to touch the fan. and whenever he touch something hot, he will go "hot hot" and wring his hand in the air. he also know how to say "cold" when the aircon is too cold at night.

but still not as advance kyrie kid who can recognise most of the alphabets. thats a fast one.

yes they have playgroup they charge per term of 10wks..but the waiting time is scary Cecelia register her son at 6 mth old but only get a place in 2012..

btw.. my fren told me my first skool is gog to hv a new centre near pioneer mrt. currently hv waitlist at the jurong point de ctr. (tink aft sub, it's abt $500+/mth)

yup, LSH & CH fee is abt same.

i dun really hv a good feel abt the safra de. personal opinion.. they way they handle calls...n that they hv HFMD. (ok..they're honest abt it.. n it's not a guarantee..anywhr might hv de....but still......)
errrrh..n i definitely not so keen abt pools... it's ok if they hv water play in school (be it outdoor or indoor).. but in a pool? nope!!! hw many teacher to a child in the pool?

btw.. i juz filled an online preliminary application for MFS... my fren said when the pioneer ctr open, they will go thru the waitlist n check if parents will be intrested to go that ctr instead. u go fill la.. no harm mah. :)

Piggy & zen, i asked my jap colig he told me weather in Oct/Nov not so bad ard 20 so i think i wun bring so much clothes for jovia oli standy thermal to hakone. Tokyo usually is warmer if ur luggage hv space can bring more jz in case.
 
sharon:: hahahahhaha.. i oso hv zero idea of wat to ask when visiting the ctr... so ystrday at CH... i oni ask abt teacher:student ratio.. n most of the times....i let the principal n ctr director talk to me! basically..hb & i hv good feel abt the plc.. so...ya. hehe.
 

sharon, its largely a gut feel thing, and what you see of how loving the teachers are towards the kids. Questions you can ask include: Any HFMD cases, how they prevent infections from passing around, how long have the teachers been teachng, class ratio, what is the schedule/routine, how much TV time there is, what kind of discipline measures etc.
