congrats! Maybe someone cancelled booking last minute. What u wanna do there? How many days? If it's your first time there, u can go asakusa area. If u are there over a sun, go to shibuya. That's where u see the funnily dressed pp. Head over to Meiji shrine nearby and u can see wedding couples in trad gear. But u attending a friend's wedding so should be able to see already.
There's a Tokyo metropolitan children's hall near shibuya. It's free and there are lots of playstuff and indoor playground for children. It's separated by age groups so u can be assured your kid who be trampled over by older kids.

yes. So no point buying those passes if it doesn't cover all lines. Get a suica pass instead. U can get it with the narita express at a special price. It's like our ezlink card, no need to keep buying tix, just top up whenever it's finishing. So when u buy those special passes for any region, be sure it covers the lines that u wanna take. I think there is one greater Tokyo one that covers all subways too but from travel experience, I feel Bo hua. Coz we dun take the transport that often. U can do a rough calcution of your transport costs online.

personally, I feel that the express will be more comfy for kids. Coz they can walk around and there's a toilet in the train. Hahaha. I can't imagine my boy sitting in a bus that long and not whining.

have you all tried buying FM in different packaging?
The first time I bought Mamil Gold 1.6kg tin and my boy is ok with it, then I bought the 700g pack recently and it seems like he is rejecting it leh... I thought its the same just packed differently...

so far denson is okie..
IFC use 1.6kg tin.. at home, i try 400g n 800g one..
now i use the 800g tin, n buy those 700g refill pack.. pour in when finish..

i think train more comfortable for kids as what mashy says.. can roams abt. bus is comfortable if it is for adults onli kekekekee

oh talking of that, i am going for a 2 days 1 nite staycation this friday at fairmont.. my 4yrs wedding anniversary lar.. sianz, still maidless, gonna tag those 2 kids w us.. but i am not going do anything. just nuah in hotel room, go swimming pool, eat at the hotel resturants or raffles city shopping center... for my #2 hor, i play cheat lor, i am going order in room dining for her.. fish/meat congee with no seasoning.. then when it arrives, will pack in my thermal container and bring her out for meals together w us kekekeke.. then nite time when they sleep, get hb drive out and pack and some food for us.. kekeke

actually the pigeon food has salt too. U try tasting it. I think no diff to eat outside food. Actually, why aren't u letting him eat outside food? He's already 1 yr old. How long do u intend to keep up with this? Sorry, I'm not trying to be meddlesome. Just that after my boy's case, I think it may not be a bad idea to intro them to all kinds of food and let them like to eat. Even tasting is good for them.

It's actually ready-to-eat.. u just need to heat it up. Dump the packet into hot water to warm up can liao. But i suggest u buy 1 box to let yr gal try first, in case she doesn't like the taste.
Btw, the rice is a little sticky, dunno if it's becos they use jap rice? I just add in a little hot water and stir b4 i feed ovann. They hv quite a few varieties, for 7mths, 9mths & 12mths de.

maybe different things happened to ur boy n my boy when they r younger lor? he's very much into organic vege/fruits when he was younger.... of coz got other variety not whole diet is organic lar (meat cannot find, egg is like so expensive)...but then he grew up well n healthy.. seldom sick as well, even if sick, recovery period quite fast n such lor.. now he's a junk eater as well.. but me n hb just tot at least he got his foundation well..anyway different strokes for different ppl

I guess you are right about different pp different strokes. My boy kept falling sick despite a home diet when he was young. My gal eats everything but so much stronger than him. Also self recover without needing meds. So I doubt it's the food that causes them to be strong or weak.

yah.. what went wrong with our #1 we usually dun wanna repeat for #2..
so horrrrrrrrrrrrrr #2 is like a poor lil thing.. last time my #1 given all freedom in the world, no controls, no restriction n is like protected species, so now spoilt rotten and dependant on us .. #2 everything controlled from day 1 (Everything oso no no no kekekee) but got the chance to explore on her own..
i am sooo sooo happy to see the development of #2 kekekee

this is not my first trip to japan. this trip is more for bringin my boy around & a time for me to relax. (hopefully). pls share with us where to bring kids too since you've done yr research.
i'm too lazy & no time to go research. last time only hb & i, so we can just go & walk anyway we like. oh, if u managed to find some not too expensive winter wear, do let me know. i also thinking what clothes to bring for my boy. most likely, will need to buy a jacket & just layer him up.
