my bb sleep from 9-6am too but sometime he will make some noise 2-3time a nite n i gotta pat him to make him go back to sleep lor... my eye dark circle is alr bad enough now worse

Juliet: my boy also rolled from my bed to the floor last fri. Really shocked us, he cried for 10-15 mins, we quickly rushed him to see the doctor nearby. The doc said to observe him for next 24 hrs to see if he sleep too much or any vomit signs or not. If nothing happen, then it is fine. We are really very guilty abt it, i think the image of baby head down the floor really tramatising.

Sharon: my PD (Dr Dorothy Ong)said we can change to stage 2 after 6 mths, stage 2 milk has more proteins. you have been feeding ur bb wif bm ar? PD said if same series of milk, eg. enfalac stage 1 change to stage 2, just direct change will do. No need to mix one spoon of milk B, 4 spoons of milk A.

ya i agree when i see my bb alr on the floor i really got a shock n guilty... i dun even know how he landed on the floor also... now the area he knock his head still a bit flat lor...

my boy hv been waking up almost every 1.5-2hrs recently too. sigh.... last time used to be every 3-4hrs. dunno wats wrong wif him. thot prob is becos he was sick last wk. by now almost recovered liao still like tat. dunno is it becos of his teething.

yup my MIL got sell bak kwa the Brand is Cecelia (XI SHI) alot of pp say better than Bee Cheng Hiang cos not tt fatty the meat i not bak kwa lover so to me abt the same hahah.. ok i sms u the price u wan mince meat or sliced meat?
 
re: bottled pureed baby food

is anyone of u feeding yr baby wif those off the shelves bottled pureed food? or most of u jus make it yourself? some of my frens say make fresh better. some say used bottled kind better cos less risk of contamination etc....

piggytoh: ur boy also rolled to the floor ar? did he cry non-stop? mine crying for 15mins, then to stop his crying, i let him latch on then he stop. there was no bruises visible on his head and limbs, so i scared he got internal injuries.

Saw the pictures here, some babies can sit on their own. My baby still duuno how to sit. He sleep from 11pm to next day 7.30am, inbetween wake up 2 times, crying but eyes closed. Poor us, darker eye-circles.

ya lor last wk... he was sleepin so i put him on my bed surround with pillow den i heard a bong sound quickly run in he alr on the floor.. when he saw me he gave a shockin look den start cryin after i carry him a while he stop cryin.. really heart pain.. he got a small cut on his head n tt cut abit swollen other than tt nothing unusual i see him no fever no vomittin n he is still playin n sleep as usual so shd be ok bah..

sumtime i lazy i will gaave bottle 1 but most of the time i make myself.. fresh 1 is better but got risk of contamination so make sure the tools u use to make is clean if scare can steam first..

ystrday when the lady gave up her seat to me.. i felt like pasting a big-bright-yellow-smiling-star on her chest!! haha. she juz sat down niah..den stood up for me le. felt abit bad la..but.. hehehe~

sharon.. i dun tink need to mix milk powder bah.. whether same brand..or different brand de.... i like to tink that by mixing the powders.. not knowing the exact concentration lvl of watever nutrition contents or wat.. we might be then accidentally giving too much of certain nutrients.. duno will b be harmful to the little one's liver or not.

last time my confinement nanny kept drilling into my maid to be careful when making milk.. never put too much powder (dun tink thick thick drink le bao bao..)...it's harmful to them de.

zen.. i hv oni tried the bottled puree.. n will b giving bottled puree going forward oso.. no time n lazy to DIY. hehe.

my boy fell from our bed too.. lucky our bed not high.. he got a fright rather than pain.. his crying is different loh.. nv bring him go see doc.. juz monitor our own..

hb & i like bah kwa a lot. but i'm more fussy. hehe. i dun really like bee cheng hiang. but they're sometimes better than lim chee guan esp. during cny. lim chee guan's bah kwa taste better & juicier on normal days. can i hv both pricing? thanks!

milk powder cannot too much cos scare they body cant digest too dilute also scare they not gettin enough nutrient..
 
ya lor.. my confinement nanny said previously there's a baby boy in KL.. owas fed on very-thick milk.. den the poo was whitish.. n nobody bother anything.. in the end.. liver failure.. n....mati!!! ke lian!

cos my girls fully on FM de.. so we will make like less half or 3/4 scoop of milk powder.. drink dilute..treat as taking more water to hydrate lor.. not full...den shorter interval lor.

I intend to stop BF when bb reach 6mths..so shd i give her stage 1 (0-6mths) or stage2 (6mths+)FM? i intend to give her similac. anyone can advise me?
 
donkeymami, you can go straight to Step 2 already. Have you started to slow down? I am suffering from blocked ducts all the time after I dropped 1 pump. I seem to be perpetually walking around with pain every day.
 
Mich, great..cos i got the stage 2 sample from PD. I hvnt slow down but now i oli pump 4times a day..supply dropped slightly,..but i dun care la..since i gng to stop soon.

I managed to clr blocked ducts...shiok when i see the milk shooting out haha...
 
donkeymami> recently someone from abbott or mead johnsons called me.. and she asked if i were still BF'g.. and she said can go direct to stage 2.
(but although i dun BF)..spoke to a fren recently abt switching to stage 2..n she said her fren consulted PD before.. (blah blah..so anyways....) u might wana try with stage 1 first.. cos normally the stage 1 up to 12mths de mah.

ya liver cannot digest the powder so cannot....
but too dilutte no gd if bb cant get enough nutrient their eye etc cant develope well 1 my friend got 1 friend dilute untill her bb eye funnie so go see PD end up the PD say not enough nutrient ask them gave back step 1 formula to bu back the nutrient wor..

donkeymami, ha ha, it is shiok. But super painful to press and clesr. Yes supply dropped for me too, but I jus keep telling myself let it go, its almost the end already. Or else I will feel super sad cos I remember those early days how much sleep I gave up at nite to pump just to build up supply.

Didnt know they have a store. We go to the factory at woodlands to collect. This year's slices seems thinner compared to last yr.

fatbobo & piggy, i intend to give similac stage 2 is above 6mths mah..my gal turning to 6mths tis fri..so thinking to give her stage 2 insead lor..i called abbot they said ok to take stage 2 as long as bb above 6mths.
 
mich, ya..think back the journey of BF really not easy..my supply also low from the start...then slowly built up from partial till total BF.

so if wanting to stop bf..we must drag longer the hours of pumping,but must clear the breast during each pump or not?i oso intend to stop already,come to think of it,quite sad,cos we over come alot then bf until this stage,i feel like i m force to stop,cause company manager dont allow me to pump during office hour
 
my supply has dropped till almost half since last wkend. Missed 2 pumps a day for 2 days, then suddenly drastic drop. Got 5 bottles frozen for spare, but at this rate, i dunno how long i can tong

cause now the breasts no longer feel engorge easily already and i think breastfeeding at this stage is becoming more easy and relax,yet have to stop already.
 
ylang ylang, u have been pumping past few months and now cannot pump anymore? Or u just went back to work? U can both drag timing and pump out less. Over 2 weeks, supply should be gone. Be prepared to deal with blocked ducts though.

mine is long story sia,i m susspose to return to work last 2nd of dec,but nov 10 i return to work early due to shortage of manpower,and the guy assistant manager had requested me to help out and before i return ,i told him i m still breasting n i will be doing pumping at work twice a day,he say no problem ,i only use one time during office hr to pump tat is 5.30 pm,the other time i use my lunch time..then when my offical maternity period had end ,i suggested to the assit manager that i m willing to compensate back the timing tat i use to pump with my ot hour,he check it out wif the old lady manager and get back to me say she dont allow me to do pumping at work ,now i m clearing my balance of three weeks maternity,going to start work nxt monday,no choice i had to stop.

yes very mean,even when work also dont allow ppl to talk ect go toilet too many times,late a min also tio lecture,any way she is old and single she wont understand the feeling of a mother wanting to give the best milk to the baby.

U 2 r not alone, mine also keep waking up every 1-2 hourly ' eh eh' like crying, i need to pat n put paci back to him then he sleep. and he now even more champion, can turn 360 degress on his cot!

Just to share, similac agent called me yesterday asking me abt do i interested to let bb try similac stage 2 and they will send me a 400g(or 900g) sample, i say y nt? and i ask abt mixing the powder, the lady told me can mix... btw, i started with similac, then dumex, then friso for Regan, all i also mix.. so far ok. the 400g tin i will let go cheap to aug mummies who interested first.

mich, me also stopping, dun feel sad, we alrdy gave them for 6mths le..i kp reminding myself dat too..nw down to 3pumps a day..up to 9hrs each time..supply goin down le..i wonder hw long it takes to completly drain off?
 
Just wondering whether in SG, we can complain when discriminating is against nursing working mums like ylang ylang's case?

Overseas, there are places we can file complains. In Vancouver and in Oz, I can nurse anywhere freely.

i doubt so. Spore still not so advanced. They only started the bf thing a few years back. There're still many offices that do not provide a nursing room and pp who think it's perfectly fine to bf your baby in the toilet.
