My bb going for jab on coming thurs.
Actually should be yesterday but I delay it cos I scared too early for him. Cos he 2nd week of feb than 6mth.

He is gg for 6in1 jab - 3rd time + rotavirus
But I don kw rotavirus 2nd jab must take b4 he turn 6mths.. luckily still alright on the thurs. haha.. he 10th than 6mth.

I don want to take too near cny cos I scared later he fever no mood like that..

My menu is like this:-

7.45AM - MILK
11AM - LUNCH (CEREAL + FRUITS + VEGES) (COS HE ARND 1030 WAKE UP)
1245PM - MILK
4PM - FRUITS + CEREAL
545PM - MILK
9PM - MILK

Mine is like a bit strange leh. Cos cant catch his time like this.
My boy drinks 190ml of milk / 5hrs.

today let him try happybellies cereal wow frst time he cant finish his milk lor only drink 120ml ...

any mummies try alr? i find compare to healthy times it better wor although more ex but not as watery n more fillling... i only put 2 tablespoon for happy bellies to get the same texture as 3tablespoon of healty times wor...

The PD zac seeing is Dr Teo of Baby Bear clinic at woodlands. He's quite detailed during consultation but i dislike the fact that his clinic telephone number cannot get through all the time and he has 4 assistants but none *know* how to pick up the phone.

re: growth developement
for those with premature babies - more than 4 weeks premature - just need to monitor more closely - zac is 5 weeks premature. PD says no need to follow CA (corrected age) for jabs/weaning but need to observe the CA for milestones.

I monitor zac's mlestones very closely cos there are early intervention that can be introduced to correct it - e.g swimming, exercises, actitivities.

but having said that, most healthy premature will catch up with their full term conterparts by the time they are 2-3 years old. but then which parent want to wait till 2-3 yrs old then realise cannot catch up.

anyways will update more after Zac's growth assessment visit.

read abt yr FIL, prob his sore throat pass down to bb thru saliva. hang in there. if it's me, i wld freak out on the spot.

the KKH doc prescribed some nasal drops, ventolin (sabcutomol) & expectorant to dissolve and make bb cough out/swallow the phelgm.

but i didn't gave it to zac yet, want to monitor a couple more days before giving him the meds, as whether give the med or not doesn't cure the illness.

the other thing is be watchful for bb when he chokes on the phelgm cos he may not know how to cough out.

ah, my boy now eats 3-4 scoops (FM scoops) of cereal but still he wants his milk - any idea how to wean him off milk?

4am milk
8am milk
11am cereal + water 50ml
12pm milk
4pm milk
8pm milk

he drinks some water (less than 50ml) 2 times a day.

sometimes he skips the 12pm feed, sometimes he wakes at 2am, other times at 4am

each milk feed is 210ml

any suggestions when to introduce the next cereal feed?

BTW i got the ok from the PD to use it but he did note that it has caffiene (Coffea Cruda) in it, so noted that it's not a wise idea to give too much.

anyone yet to start?? btw those wanting to buy bak kwa, mei zhen xiang has factory sale at senoko, sliced pork at $40.50 per kg compared to retail at $45-46?

there's a push cart at woodlands causeway point (outside cold storage) selling CNY bb rompers, my sis bought a sleeveless boy romper for $23. the designs for the gals are SO MUCH nicer - so wish to have a bb gal.

the monkey powder u can go to eu yan sen to buy but dun tell them monkey powder leh tell them hou zao sang.. for small children cough,cold etc 1.. cos it herb so many mummy gave them this den those western medi la.. my mum say since young she gave us this...

erm Bee cheng hiang bak kwa hor my MIL told me no gd cos they use those pork part tt got lots of fats so cheaper cost but thy sell not cheap wor... for factory price... i heard this yr increase again..

Pris, u r saying japanese rice has a layer of glucose. Does it mean the japanese rice might be fatter? Can we feed brown rice to baby now? U've started Ray with porridge, what type of rice?

Felicia, do u stay around Loyang point? Keep noticing u mentioning Loyang point a few times. I stay near there.

Baby jumping
My baby starts to jump this evening. If didnt let her jump, she will whineeeeeeeeee... very cute, jump with both legs like rabbit. I hold her upright n let her legs touch the sofa, n she starts jumping. The jumperoo is arriving on 6 Feb, I hope she likes it.

4am milk (this maybe can drag n give water,lucas also wakes up at this timing but no milk for him n he dozes off again)

8pm milk (probs can give another cereal feed at 5:30pm then 7pm milk n he can sleep till 7am the next day)

i started my boy on the prospan cough syrup, zyrtec for running nose and fluimucil for phlegm today. Hope he will have enough antibodies to tide through this quickly

i'm borned at 32 weeks, throughout my life i didnt think there's any difference in terms of fine motor skills with other. Zac will be fine too.

Swimming
i will continue with tub swimming for a few month more. Its really diff to bath for him after the swim outside.
 
here's my rough schedule

7-8am milk (latch)
10:30am milk (120-150ml)
1:30pm cereals + 120ml milk
4:30 pm milk (120-150ml)
8pm milk (latch)
11pm milk (latch)
3-4am milk (latch)
 
my mum ask me to go to chinatown "wong yu lam" to get the hou zou san leh... She says eu yan sang one not so good...
I thinking of going to chinatown now i also scared. Sure very crowded leh.

I see, yup rota should be no prob but 6 in 1+ pneu sure get fever easily i think.. that's why i asked my PD's nurse, she told me if baby is not going to infant care, then go for pneu at 7, 9 and 12 month, 1 less jab as usually it should be 4 jabs i think if we start from 2nd or 3rd month.. and also from month 7, all other compulsory jabs are done so it is just one jab at a time maybe lower chance of getting fever..

for my boy only his 2nd dose of 5 in 1 got slight fever for less than half an hour, so for his last dose of 5 in 1, i boil barley water for him before and after the jab, and it worked fine for him, no fever at all.. so i will do that everytime lor..

haha the dance class at true yoga is really fun but i cannot follow the steps lor, only tried belly dance though, but i will definitely try it again when i am back, last time i do hot yoga, bodycombat and hatha yoga most of the time..

wah we stay around the same area then, haha cuz my house to loyang point is just about 5 mins walk like that.. next time maybe our babies can go to same childcare and same school even? I am eyeing on this Learning vision at drive 6 and also pasir ris primary already leh, super kiasu sia.. haha..

so many mummies have started solid on your babies leh, i still got to wait for 12 more days before Renzo turns 6 months, haha dun even know how to start, but very excited, guess will start with apple puree first, hehee..

so far my son took 6 in 1 n prevena n rotarix together no fever wor.. But if u wan play safe can feed him the fever medi right after the jab.. Btw I ask the doc abt delaying takin prevena she told me up to individual but if touch wood our BB kena at 5th mth we will cry lor so for me play safe better..

Felicia, I drive to Loyang Point needs 10min. U r so near to Loyang Point! Grrrhh... u so fast think of primary school?? I dont know yet. I m only thinking of nursary. Most likely my baby will be going to Island Playhouse where her cousin used to go when she was a baby.

Hi all,
My two Ms are finally recovering. Thank God.
Little M was so sick that she didn't drink much milk for the last two days. Finally today at dinner can finish at least 5oz of milk at one go (usual is 6oz). Prior to that, she only can down 2oz (60ml). So have been force feeding her milk each time there's a chance. But each time she refuses. In the end I had to get my elder girl to drink my milk since little M didn't want the milk.

Hopefully little M can be well enough to go for her 5th month jab this Tue. Otherwise delay again, by the she'll be 6 months!

U try give more. If baby drinks then it means time to increase feed. If baby stops at the usual mark, means not ready.

Was abt to start little M on solids then she sick. Sigh ... actually I started her on apple puree. First time, ok she swallowed. The next day, she sat everything out! In the end I ended up finishing the puree since it can't be kept for long.

Maybe will try her on cereal next?

For the cereal, which i only add in 100ml water as stated in the instructions, do i still need to give ovann his milk after his cereal? I see that some of the mummies here give milk 2hrs later after the cereal. I totally skip the milk cos i thot the cereal feed replaced the milk feed. Alamak .. am i doing it correct ah? *scratch head*

Solids &amp; FM Schedule
my mum take care of my bb on weekday day time, she will come to my hse every morng, 8.15am. evening we will take charge.
bb milk feed interval between 4 - 5 hrly since 4 months. Started him with Frisocream at 4.5mths, juz started him on healthy times brown rice cereal mid jan10.
7am - 190ml milk
11am- healthy times brown rice cereal + puree+water 40ml
12.30pm - 190ml milk
5.30pm - 190ml milk
10.30pm - 190ml milk (dream feed kind), as he sleep at 9.30pm, will sleep through till next morng.
Oni difference during weekend, feed him cereal at 5.30pm, 6.30pm he will drink milk.

There is one very gd one at Upper Thomson, long queue. U can take queue number in advance juz pay S$4 extra, the sinseh dun charge consultation. U can juz give angpow to him. Juz pay for medicine oni. My elder son seen him for cough, phlegm etc. ,

My baby just went to sleep at 12:30am! One of the latest time she has slept. Suspect it's because she played too much when I went over to my mom's place at about 10pm. Everyone so happy to see her and she was also so happy to be out and awake so late.. In the end , came home being over tired and cried and cried.

Solid food
Looks like most mummies have started your babies on solids. I intend to start next week too, and planning to let her try rice cereals first.

Robinsons expo sale
Went there today and dint get much things for myself. Oh I managed to buy a swimsuit for my Sophie. It was selling 3 pieces for $12. I bought 3 pieces of about same sizes to let her try which is more suitable. For the ones too small, may sell off to anyone who is interested.

My fren's gal got it at 4yo. spread to all the siblings. One hospitalised after another. U may one to think abt it.
 
mashy and piggy, i think that is called creeping (read from books and of the Net)...mine also have been doing that..just wondering cos my mum said both me and my sis skipped that crawling stage and proceded to walk, so wondered if my gal will do so too..

sharon, i think u can try to increase his feed? at nanny's place ethan can drink 180-190ml/3hrs but at home he latch so i'm not sure... he is 5months 3weeks
 


sharon> 24+? wah. dat's cheap. de cheapest i got was 27.90 for 2. erms.. maybe can go stock up abit? but than one pack of 44 can last me 1.5mths cos i only let him wear once a day, i still got 8 packs =x
