hi mashy,
I was thinking of getting a electric steamer to steam then use a elec handheld blender to blend but the blade will go rusty? then think have to use the traditional method to blend using plastic fork/spoon. How long can we keep the homemade puree in the fridge?

Hiaz .. just noticed that Ovann has got an ingrown nail on his big toe and i think i saw some pus. Poor thing ... must hv been painful and i was still tugging & pulling the socks on him
Going to the PD later to see wat can be done. Hopefully medication can help ... if not they gotta poke the toe and suck out the pus.

yah! the internet connection is horrible. like when i restart comp, sometimes cant connect to internet, must restart again. also the download is very slow. i've been using singnet + other brand router for a year, no problem at all and download is very fast. then mil want the mio tv free trial. haiz.

Babiesmeme, m using tradition type too. m super supporter of NTUC fairprice, they hv once exchange for pots, i accumulate it n exchange for the small pot juz for bb food. i cut the apple into quarter remove the core too, n put the apple to a porcelin bowl, steam till it soft, remove the apple skin from bowl, then smash using spoon, did not use blender too. i get ideas from mummies here, they get ice cube tray to store the balance apple puree.
pegsfur, my mum did not follow the instruction on the Frisocream cereal. my bb first milk feed for the day is at 7am, so my mum give bb cereal at 11am, put 60ml hotwater on the small milk bottle, n use the milk powder scoop, 3 scoops equivalent to 90ml of milk powder lah, i nvr test it, so she say juz nice, not too thick or dilute. my mum use my apple puree to mix with the cereal. aftr an hour, my mum will give bb milk. before the cereal i treat apple puree like a snack to my bb, 2 hours after his afternoon feed during wkend lah.
piggytoh, my bb edric "didi" got abit of tear at the bottom 1 wk ago too. i juz apply the mustela diaper cream on it. after 4 days he fully recover.

actually..my pd said dont boil e fruits, wait destroy the vitamin c.. ironically..thre r many school of thoughts to the sayings. some say boil, some say dont boil. n, some say start when they r 6 mths, some say u can start nw. see..i dont noe which ones r reliable sources... i do und tt the acidity in fruits may burn bb's tumtum..but den again, since my pd gave e green light on not boiling it, ive decided to feed it to her freshly.. after all she's a famous pd.. shud be reliable ba. Haha..*still..clueless*

I just use usual rice bowl to steam the apple. Never thought about the smell... so far no complaints leh.
My mum ask me not to freeze the puree. So I just ate up the raw apple and remaining of the puree myself. It's really easy to prepare.
I bought the pigeon feeding bowl with ginder, can just mesh and feed at the same time.

reira:luckiy never sign up yesterday,ceramic products nto so cheap but good investment too.bought durign isetan sale so they packed up a bundle of knife n peeler...much cheaper.mayeb now still hv % since they having sale

Hair loss-think shampoo can't help much for post pregnancy.
A friend of mine also hv serious hair loss like chunks fallin off n later new hair grew out like our little ones.now back to her normal self looo.
Think it's a phase so hv to bear with it n eat more nutriuous food

me too! I bought it at the isetan sale and it came with a free peeler. Love the product. Very good. But I already have to send it for sharpening once already coz there were some dents on it.

Brought Ovann to PD last evening. Luckily PD said no need to poke and no need oral medication since it's not that bad. He said he's seen really bad ones with real swollen toe. He prescribed an ointment which contains antibiotic .. so just need to apply on his little big toe. PD said it shld dry up. And, he reminded me not to wear socks or booties for him, cos i told him his feet always feel cold. He said it's normal de.

I just let Ovann tried the cereal cos he's been struggling to drink his milk, very hard to feed him. The moment I give him his bottle, he will suck as normal. Then halfway thru, he will start to fidget, arch his body and wriggle like a worm. But i'm still monitoring lah .... if it gets better then i'll continue with milk till 6 mths. If not I'll start on cereal le.

I'm introducing new taste and feeding method to my boy as he is already 5+ mths. The amt he ate is actually very small, just 1-2 teaspoon

Now its like im getting used to it already though see the floor of hair still abit sad.
I start to use Ba Wang too and thought it helps a bit, i am also using Garnier Hair loss tonic.
Everyone was telling me it will be better after 6mths....
I notice new hair growing, alot of baby hairs now..so that make me feel much better

jul, some PDs do advocate starting solids earlier if weight doesn't gain fast enough. When Isaac was 4 mths old, he didn't gain much weight and the PD asked me to consider giving cereal. But at 5 mths his weight was ok, and she didn't suggest it again. Think 6 months is a guide, there's no hard and fast rule as to when to start?
weishy, will drop my order for the bellamy's cereals. My father has taken ill over Christmas weekend, and had to be hospitalised, so its been kinda crazy at home and I may not being able to make it to collect the cereals. Will just buy Healthy Times from NTUC later on.

jul> my bb was like rejecting milk so my mum say he want something new,ask me buy cereal for him, i ignore her words for 1.5weeks, so i bo pian juz want to keep her mouth shut lor, i went to buy juz last sunday...my hubby later find out bb reject milk becoz he dun want us to carry him n feed, my hubby kind of lazy type, he put him lie down on playmat, n he drink well. he now drink 4x a day at 180ml each feed. his last weight @ his 4mth jab is at 8kg, ht at 64cm.

zen, i rented the fisher price rainforest jumperoo for S$50 per mth from rent a toy..their was clean too. another website for rented toys..i will check it out..

Nat has manage to sleep thru the nights when she is abt 2mth+...but these few days she kept waking up in the night again....
Slept ard 12, woke up at 2+, 4+ , 6+...try to pat/rock her back to sleep but she kept crying, so latch her on....she happily suckle and knock out within 5-10min...
Wonder whats wrong ? Is she hungry or too overwhelm with facing so many people for this week ??
Hope she goes back to her normal sleeping routine soon..........
