Reira, I dun know wat time, they give me the epidural. Before epidural was given, I was sleeping till the anesthesian came, the epidural did not last so long. I was in the hospital at 5 to 6am. Then I ask for epidural, since not much pain I sleep till the anesthesian came to administer the epidural and midwife told me if I can sleep just sleep, so I did and I was told gynae came to check for dilation twice but I was sleeping and not fully dilated, it was like at 10.30am in the morning where gynae came back and woke me up as I have fully dilated then to push and take break in between to wait for contraction, 3 pushes, Kai was out. The epidural does not last 6 hours. It is from the time I am in the delivery suite till birth that is 6 hours. Also it depend on your pain tolerance, coz I was waken up by anesthesian which I dun know the time it was given.
Think if one dosage run out, you can request for another dosage but of course they charge for the dosage. I am not sure how many dosage you can use.
