hi ladies,

want to check if you gals have booked massage lady already ? I saw from the thread abt massage lady got 2 Ida ? Which one is the better one ? Ida (94249829) and Aida (9436463) ? Do you know her charges now ? I got a friend recommendation, she charging $550 for 7 sessions for 1hr each session. Issit consider reasonable ?

So our AUG MTB no one has given birth right ? I am due on 07 Aug, but i keep having the feeling i will deliver earlier. cos having pelvic pain since last mth .. now getting worst already. more and more pain ... sometimes feel like opting for C-sect to take out the bb earlier, but sometimes i tot just let nature takes it's course .. so that can enjoy a few more weeks of couplehood... :p

Wah lao ... my heartburn is almost everyday de lor ... so far i can remembered only 1 or 2 days where i dun get heartburn and can sleep all the way thru the night de.

Oh ya, u shld cut down on fried & spicy food to avoid heartburn leh, cos these foods will cause heartburn de.

Other than heartburn, i'm getting difficulty sleeping .. not that i can't sleep, but bb is putting a lot of pressure on my tummy and i felt pain at my kidney and bladder area if i sleep facing up. I became breathless if i sleep on my right but if i sleep too long on my left, my hands get numbed. Very sianz .....

I feel the pressure whenever I sleep on my right side...Somehow I have the feeling that bb has less space to move when I sleep on my sides.

harlo gal jus came back fr my checkup my gynae gave me a free 3d scan but partial of the face is blk a tink my baby inherit his daddy broad nose haha.. he est my baby birth weight to be 3.6/7kg. Surprisingly i din gain weight since my last visit

i booked with Mdm Ida for 7 sessions at $50 each. The massage is about 1 hour also if I remember correctly. She will tell you in detail when you call her to book.

i guess different people different bah. so far i can always sleep soundly de... maybe cos i am a deep sleeper. the type that wont wake up no matter how many alarm clocks you put near me if i didnt get enough sleep. also i am a side sleeper and will auto sleep on left or right. when i sleep on my side, i always put my arm at the side of my head and straighten (as if i am putting my hand up to ask question like that). my arms will still get numbed sometimes but can still move.

come to think of it, yesterday midnight i felt some slight sharp pain on V area when i walk. is that pelvic pain? I stopped for a few seconds and continued walking and the pain went away.

How i wish i can be a deep sleeper! I'm the opposite of u, a very light sleeper ... In the afternoon if i want to nap, i must not have anything to disturb me when i sleep e.g. if doze off watching tv, den i remembered i haven't take out my specs, den i'll wake up to leave my specs on the table, and that's it. I'm awake liao. Super sianz lor.

Ladies, u all mentioned abt heartburn, how does it feels like?? i do feel uneasi once in awhile but i am not sure if that is heartburn

i fell asleep on my bed while watching show everyday. often i will just wear my glasses until morning or if i am not that lazy, i will take it out (10% awake) and put beside my pillow. when hubby came back home in the morning, he will help me put on the table. for me if i am sian of watching show (like after watching 5 episodes), i will doze off. very bad habit >_<

mashy, when your hubby put your son to bed, don't stay in the bedroom, go out to living room, rest and watch tv... as you need more rest now...

jul, renovation for your room only need 4 days, that's very fast, your designer is good. will you be painting your room as well ? if yes, you may need to air the room, otherwise the smell of paint is not good for you and baby...

reira, after you deliver your bb, maternal instinct will come naturally. you'll be able to wake up to the slightest sound the bb makes. My colleague used to have a bb monitor in her room to watch out for bb cries. She woke up to little stirs her bb makes. In the end, she gave up on the bb monitor, just open both her bedroom and bb room doors at night. When bb cries for milk, she'll automatically wake up.

pegsfur, maybe you can try walking for 10 minutes after each meal to prevent heartburn ? I find that if i immediately sit at my desk after lunch, i do get indigestion/heartburn, and no appetite for dinner.
 
pinkmama, bb knows where to get food from you one, so don't worry if you lose weight. This is the reason why we need calcium/iron tablets to replenish our body as bb keeps taking it from us.

I absolutely love the feeling of dozing off watching tv! But now i cannot afford to do it liao since i'll be awake if i suddenly remembered i have to switch off tv/ take out specs/ move my pillows etc. Hiaz ...

Pegsfur, i also almost dozed off in the hall watching tv, but was lucki enough to wake myself up and head for the room.. but now, i am typing away instead of catching my nap.

Btw Ladies, i was just having small chats w my MIL and telling her abt my arrangement for bb 1st mth celebration (catering plans and cake distribution) but it ended up the way I expected it to be. Waste my effort and energy talking to her, she only want things her way and insisted her stand. For goodness sake, this is my child, i odd to have some authority in making my own choice rite..

Morning argue abt cloth diaper, afternoon argue abt bb 1st mth, i simply hope she leave me alone!!!

i'm now at my mum's place since hubby went to work. #1 is sleeping now, feel so relaxed...

Mine, on the other hand, is trying to get involved but sorry lor, i'm not telling her anything regarding bb. She's not fit to be involved in such a happy occasion. Last nite she was asking me did doc tell me when wld i be due or not? And i told her curtly, 'No.'

Btw, wat is that u were arguing abt cloth diaper?

Pegsfur, i barely tell her to confirm the boxes of cakes she need for distribution, and she well on to ask abt why not giving voucher?? those who attend the celebration still need cake meh? celebration not hold at her place meh? those invited for celebration and dont attend must give voucher!! if not just give out cakes w/o celebration.. OMG, this is my BB &amp; why she must bother!!

As for the cloth diapers, she insisted that bb must use cloth diapers, pampers only when heading out. But i have already purchase and stock up, dun use, i throw away ah?? and worst of all, i was not allow to hire a CL (all thanks to her stupid requirement), so if i use cloth diaper, i have to do all the washing myself. WTF!!!

w/o the CL, out of no choice (pressure from some other aunties/MIL's sisters), my MIL bo-bian agree to prepare food for me during confinement, that was last week. and just hours ago, she came to me, wanting me to resume my plan on getting tingkat.

I c .... if i were u, i see no point in discussing with her. Just decide with your hubby how u all want to celebrate/give out cakes, then get yr hubby to ask mil how many cakes she want, u &amp; hubby go &amp; settle it.

And i'm curious, why doesn't she allow u to ge CL?
 
Pegsfur, my MIL indirectly 'complaint' to the aunties saying i nv communicate w her n everything is thr hubby so i step in this time round n talk to her on cakes issue alone and that is how things ended up to be like.. Sigh.....

My own place is not ready and Hubby &amp; I are still staying w the in-laws. things are not always easy under the same roof, my MIL came out w stupid requirement that the CL cant cook in her kitchen and stay over, if i am to hire one, she will cook and bring over, wash n help w the household chores and go back daily.

frankly, i am prepared for the worst, know i wont be getting much help from her, needless to say, want her to help with washing, taking care of the bb at nite.

for the cloth diapers, i already told her washing is an issue w/o CL, her comment was, "cant you wash?? cant u afford to dirty your hands, that is your bb?" Sux!!!

Maybe better if you order confinement food. Else later she refuse to cook or something then you ended up without meals. It is very important for you to have 3 meals, if not you won't have the energy to BF. About the diapers, she dont understand that it is not about dirtying your hands but the TIME!

I never really discuss anything with my MIL too and actually I don't plan to do 1st month celebration (very worried about h1n1 spreading hehe). But most probably MIL will arrange to do a small celebration and invite relatives only (at her place). Which is good, meaning I won't need to clean up or anything or tired myself.

Just went to see doc today. Confirm having c-section on 8 Aug cos bb still breech.. going for epi...

any mummies here been through c-sec with epi? i know i will not feel the pain, but can you feel anything (e.g. the cutting the pulling of the skin)? cos i have never had any operation in my life so far, so quite scared about the operation.

For the cloth diapers, u can jolly well ignore wat she says cos ultimately, YOU are the one who's gonna do the washing, not her. Just use diapers she oso can do nothing.

Actually, what's your hubby's stand on the CL thingy? I know it's gonna be very tiring without the help of CL or mums or mils, cos i think i'm more or less like u, since my mum will only be at my place in the day time.
 
Reira, thanks for sharing ur thoughts, i have thought of catering and that was my initial plans, however change the plan after she say she gonna do the cooking. i do not know what is on her mind and why things are constantly changing, she is driving me nuts in some ways..

as for full mth celebration, i wanted to do it outside so i can combine &amp; do 1 celebration. i find it so unfair that my parents n relatives have to come all the way and squeeze in a small living hall of my in-laws place. most of all, i din wanna make things difficult for my parents, as i din want relatives of mine to yak as to why everything listen to the guy side.

Pegsfur, my hubby was put in a spot cos he din want to disobey his mum, hoping she will take care of me. (but he wont know how his mum treat me when he is not around). the naive him actually feels that a CL is not as gd as his mama... Gosh!!!!

Diapers wise, i gonna just use why i have bought, and apply the nappy rash cream irregardless of whether got rash or not..

cloth diapers....well its good if u hv help and house is big...at least the toilet/laundry area la........need alot each day and space to hang too......bb's pee/poo dn really smell tat bad but if u just "jim" and dun wash for more than a day......anything will smell bad le......tot chinese practise cant touch water at all for a month?????how u gonna wash????

also if either u or ur hub dun decide by now er,.....even ordering confinement food also diff le.....ie bookign full la etc...

your MIL pretend to treat you nice when your hubby is around but behind his back, she treats you badly? she is so evil. if your parents place got enough rooms, then maybe move back for confinement will be better... but now hiring confinement lady is also a bit late le.

for me, my mil dont dare to say anything or scold me but will scold hubby instead. bad is it adds to my hubby's stress.

your hubby is working shift? Mine is working permanent night shift. =)

Yah, go ahead and use your disposable diapers coz looks like she's just going to talk and not helping. Why make life diff for yourself just to obey her? Is your hb going to take any leave to help u?

Some pp are esp possessive of their kitchen. Perhaps that's why she doesn't wanna allow a CL to cook there and 'mess up' her kitchen. TOugh on u gal!

U better order confinement food else u'll be left hanging dry. Everything just depend on yourself. SO don't consult her, just make the decisions and get on with it. She'll just create trouble for u. This kind of pp all 'jiang jiang' only. Won't be helping u at all... Perhaps can ask your mom to pop over once a while to check on u? At least help u bathe the bb, coz looking at it, u'll have to handle bb all by yourself and will have to bathe bb all by yourself even if u end up in c-section and can't move much.

Of course the other extreme will be your MIL fell instantly in love with your bb and refuses to let u touch your bb at all.

my last visit baby is 2.03kg so now abt 2.1 to 2.2kg lor... but est nia cos diff machine mah.. anyway my gynae told me not to worry abt the weight cos est nia mah...

relationship will definitely be strained. I wanted to murder my ILs after i had my #1. Had many huge fights then, it was terrible time. Luckily my hb stood by me. Your friend's hb really 'chi dun'. He didn't watch enough tv shows &amp; read enough books to know that MIL and DIL are always at loggerheads.

Actually the best a hb can do during confinement is to shut up abt anything concerning bb and listen to the wife, do what you're told by your wife, and volunteer to help with the bb. I think a lot of new mothers are very stressed abt bf and it doesn't help when MIL/CL &amp; hb all nagged abt giving FM. They should be at least more supportive.

Seriously tho, u better try to make plans for ur confinement food now. B/c what if she really doesn't cook for u? End up u have nothjing to eat!

My fren's MIL said she'll do confinement for her. Talk until "you long you feng". End up she dinno how to bathe the BB properly, nvr cooked any confinement food for her, end up my poor fren had to eat soda piah &amp; Milo when hungry.. Sometimes she even ate Mac's! And they do things like cook a bit pot of fried Hokkien mee then leave it there to eat for the whole day's meals!

It's a small job lah. Hack down my walk-in wardrobe on 1 day. My HB will do the painting over the weekend. Then the carpenters will come &amp; install everything on the 4th &amp; 5th day. So in total abt 4-5 days lor. Luckily man, else I will be so stressed abt finishing everything on time
 


keke... talking about MIL &amp; bfing... mine wanted to give my #1 my SIL's milk coz she was SURE that i was not producing 'enough' and i'm still bfing my #1 till today - but she is on the 'small' side so my MIL always thinks i'm starving my gal! which mother in the right mind would do that right?
