tt wat i tink if mine boi it a bonus.. but i ever check with my gynae he say the heartbeat thingy not true so we shall see..
 
yup yup.. so in a few weeks time we all shall find out and update accordingly ler... i am doing my blood test for the risk thingy on valentine's day wor... hope everything is ok....when u all scheduled to do?

i never knew sustaining pregnancy is also difficult. I always thought my problem was in concieving until now. It doesn't help when my hubby keep saying crying won't change anything. I also know but tears just rolled down when i thought abt it at nite.

i'm really sorry to hear from u.. please take good care of urself before trying again... mrs puff, r u going to try again, i always tot 2 is good enough.... why not spend ur energy to take care of ur 2 girls instead of more potential heartbreaking processes.... the other time when i had a mc.. i started sponsering a kid from worldvision... u all might want to look at it.. someone introduced me this site..

be strong ok! no one will hope that pregnancy will ended up to be like this.. just like mine... i have a few ex-mummy from my april spree gong xi wo.... but i tell them i have lose my baby... they feel sad for me...ask me y it had happen... i always tell them.. it happen for a reasons and there will be one that is fated to be ours one fine day... remember to build up ur health do a mini confinemnet and try ttc soon after ur body build up ya..stay strong and u will be blessed widf a healthy kids in no time
 
active not necc boy leh.. when my mum had my brother, she say he not very active, but when she had me.. i was very active!! u know the mediacorp advert now where the baby moves when the shows come on? my mum says think of me like that times 10! inside my mum's womb, i would flop entirely to one side and stay there and still continue kicking... my mum will have to manually hold the tummy and move it back to centre and i just continue kicking...

everyday at 9pm, will start kicking and wouldnt stop till mummmy has her daily ice kacang..


so active= boy? not really.. i think i am quite sure i came out as a girl.. hee..
 
Cheryl, I am doing Down's U/S on wed (Week 12 Day 3) and will know the result in 15 to 20 minutes where the compute blood test and U/S measurement. If there is a high risk, then CVIS in the afternoon or to do amino test at 16 weeks.
 
baby S, you are so active as a foetus. Ds was really active too, could see his feet and fist sometimes too. And his kicks really painful.
 
pris, haha.. yah lor... When i kick i will kick and leave my foot there one. Cos my parents can tell from the shape if its my hand or leg!!

so when i told my mum that baby was very active during my scan last wekk, my parents went 'uh oh... like u." hahaha....
 
pink, CVIS can be done at week 12 to 14, has a risk of 1% miscarriage where amino can only be done at week 16, has a risk of 0.5% miscarriage.

Both are inserting a needle to the tummy, CVIS is collect some tissue from the placenta and amino test is collect the amino fluid in the sac.
Both have 99% accuracy and results in 2 days to 2 weeks time.
 
Baby S, my mum told me, she did not have ms with me or my bro. then mil told dh that she was so sick while pregnant with him, so I was teasing dh that it is bad gene from him making me so sick.
 
Donkeymami, I will be going on Wed for NT U/S. Let's pray that our bb will be healthy and fine with no risk or low risk.
 
hi can i ask is it safe to consume alcoholic drinks during pregnancy? I drank twice in a period of 2 weeks b4 i discover im pregnant. Once is a mug of beer and the other time is a glass of white wine...do u tink will affect the foetus?

Well, it's already done anyway, just put it behind u.

The main prob is when u drink alot. Since it's not that much, don't think too much abt it. U can ask your gynae abt it if you're not sure.
 
i told my gynae abt the glass of white wine which i drank during a wedding dinner...but i forgotten to tell her i drank a mug of beer a week b4 i drank the white wine

i'm from the Jul09 thread

Beer alcohol content typically about 4.4%. Wine is typically about 12%. I guess 2 glass of alcohol early in the pregnacy should be still alright since baby takes nutrients from yolk and not directly from the mother. Don't worry too much. As long as avoid alcohol from now onwards should be ok.

Saw on TV that Courtney Love and Kate Moss were even doing drugs in their first trimester without realising they were pregnant. Their babies also born ok.

If you do decide to drink during pregnancy, it is recommended that you limit your intake to no more than one or two units of alcohol, no more than once or twice per week. The RCOG advise women that there is no evidence of harm from drinking at this low level. However, binge drinking or getting drunk is dangerous for your developing baby.
 
jeslyn, i also drank mixes when i didn't know i was pregnant. Asked the gynea abt it, and he said it should b ok. don't think so much. =) will be having my NT scan this Friday as well, at 12k6d. hope everything goes well too, but the results will only be out in 1 to 2 wks time.
 
cherrios, mine result will send to clinic afterthat then my next appmt will b on 2nd Feb. But i guess i can call & chk the result.
 
donkeymami, yes, they will do the measurement then. Anyway, I am see the genenatic counsellor straight after the scan as he will be computing the result for me together with the blood test.

Praying that our bb will be healthy with no risk or low risk.
 
Cheerios, I did my blood test 2 weeks ago by the request of my dr and genenatic counsellor told me the NT U/S can only do after 11.5 week to be more accurate. So we are only waiting for NT U/S result.

Everything here is also very slow over here but dh told me since we are here, just follow their system and don't make noise about it.
 
Pris, i see. i thk ur bloodtest done 2wks ago so counsellor jz wait for ur scan then can analyse ur risk profile immediately. I thk spore can knw quite fast also..i thk in 1-2days
 
anyway was reading a motherhood book and they say the chance of having a child with DS for a mother in her 20s is 1 out of 1000, mother who is 35 - 45 is 1 out of 200, older than 45yrs old old is 1in 50 or something...but still, I feel the risk is there...haikz..so much to worry about...never ending one...
