Today is day 3 at the hospital. C section wound still hurts but gynse said can go home tomorrow.

No milk yet for me but baby Joshua kept crying for milk so no choice but to go on formula first and see how. Hopefully milk wil come in by today.

My birth story is very straight forward as it was a scheduled c. Gynae was very fast. From the incision to delivery only less than 10 mins. PD was standby in the OT, so once bb was out, he got checked immediately. Oh, just to share that I got very itchy all over on the first day and it was due to the epidural. Was given a jab to stop the itch, but that jab makes me very sleepy.

bbmaking, don't stress yourself over the bf thing. What u can do is to latch first, say for about 20-30mins, then supplement w FM if not enough. And don't look at what u are pumping out. It is not an accurate indication of what bb can suckle from your breast direct. I know its not easy not to stress over milk ss, this is my 3rd round and I am still worrying and tearing my hair. But I keep telling myself, I can only give my best. Beyond that, I can't help it already and if have to go on FM, they will still grow up fine.

WHen is ur ML starting? Mine on 13 Aug. Think of getting mc fm doc to rest until 13 Aug for the whole of next week and so. Then I utilised my annual leave or whatsoever since its so hard for me to get my leave approved.

When I had my # 1 my CL said can eat immediately. But hor, now when I had my #2 I decided not to engage CL so I read lots of confinement cook book, they said can only eat in week 2 onwards.

Even from the confinement food caterer “Natal Essentials” according to their menu, http://www.natalessentials.com/conf_menu.html only serve from 2 weeks onwards.

i also confirmed with my mum, she said can only start to take from 12 days after postnatal.

Ya what Mich mentioned is correct, what you pump out is not equal to what you baby able to get from direct latch on.

<font color="0000ff">Baby S</font>, ask Dr Ong, he said ginger is ok during confinement and jaundice is not affect by it. Take the longan drink but instead of red date use honey date or black date if you are the heaty type like me.

Regarding Pig Trotters can only take from the 12 days of confinement. I had that using the Pig's front legs less fat and also hard boiled eggs.

<font color="0000ff">bbmaking &amp; Pink</font>, don't be discourage, just keep latching bb on and also if bb falling asleep while feeding, remove some layer of clothing or tickle bb will make them suckle more. Then also you try to massage your breast, drink hot milo before each feed and also to express after bb has feed will increase or stimulate breast to produce more milk. If too stress, just supplement with some FM.

In her book, she did mentioned, baby can extract at least 30ml more by physically sucking at your breast.

Hello Ladies!
Finally got chance to login... some peace is restored at home..
I can see that the list of given birth is getting long, already 20 le!

Both my FIL and MIL have decided to camp out at my mum's place and most of the time just standing next to the bb cot to see the bb sleep ~ inside my room!
Yesterday my BB was admitted for jandice, so they didnt come over today.

24Jul 6pm: 1cm dilated. BB head still high. Insert 1st induce tablet (not much reaction)
25Jul 1am: 3cm dilated. Insert 2nd induce tablet. Contractions starts some as high as 130 recorded but dont really feel much
9am: 4cm dilated. Dr break waterbag. REAL contraction pain starts. Even those 40 type can faint lor!
915am: Epi!!!!
6pm: Fully dilated but BB head still high (cant get engaged properly...) Dr decided to get me to try pushing but she say that if cannot come thru then have to go for c-sec
7pm: After pushing for 1 hr! BB is delivered with assisted vacuum


The team in MAH is really quite good. They know that I have a difficult time to push, there are 4 midwives and staffs to help me push my stomach when I pushed. They really helped to squeeze the BB out of me.

Babys: me only feel it when I woke up to pee and when I lie back and going back to sleep , I feel it .maybe the pain is there while I sleeping la as I sleep like pig heehee . But the baby kicking is more pain

Sometime it hv sharp pain but werid leh my pain like it hv wind inside, once I fart the pain No more .

Me this sat also will be going to see Dr Woo leh for appt , U leh ?
