piggytoh, I taken HL last week 3 days. But my company do not accept HL if u r not hospitalised and they may treat it as ML start early. U might wanna check it out.

pegsfur, u giving ur mum 250 - 300 for taking care of ur baby in the day? Then do u still give her household allowances on top of that?

I will be induce because of Zachary's weight I think. Even tho the ultrasound scan says that his head is 34cm, Dr Wong doesn't seems to be too concern about it. actually I wanted to induce this sat but Dr Wong dont want to. unless really by next monday i still haven't give birth. she ask me to walk a lot these few days, but i scared walk a lot and suddenly goes into labour before 1st Aug!!! yesterday i walked 2 hrs. maybe i will walk the whole day on fri/sat/sun.

Is induce with drip more painful than the tablet? Dr Wong is going to induce me with 1st tablet next monday morning during my check up. Then I am suppose to walk a lot after the first tablet! so sian... no where to shop.

haven't got a chance to update cos no time/energy to get on the computer.

can go back yesterday but we decided to stay a day longer as Zachary had to be on phototheraphy due to mild jaundice.

if everything clears, we can go home together later.

Still trying at breastfeeding - as of yesterday still no milk - am on the breastpump 3hrly 24/7 to stimulate.

finally resorted to Domperidone yesterday to start bm flow, had one dose yesterday and don't know whether it's coincidence or not but it seems to work - this morning 4am pumping has a few drops of colostrum. Hope it will increase as the day go by!

For those who are worried abt no milk supply during the hospital stay & need to stimulate via pumping(esp 1st time mothers who dun know what to expect) - pls bring along 1) hot/cold breast pads 2) nipple cream -- nipples can be rather sore.

The c sect wound is healing well - the knots were removed yesterday morning and the pain is manageable with painkillers.

Have been inactive here for mths... Just to update that I have delivered yest 27 Jul, natural w epi, 7 hrs duration in total.. bb Eunice is doing fine and weigh 2.8kg. Didnt know that the stitching wound down there is so painful... Also the VE lor..

Nevertheless, i congrats mummies who have delivered and jia you to those going to pop soon ya!!! will catch up soon again.. Cheers

congrats cheryl! Ur labour aso short! Ya,i gotta agree the stitching wound is so painful! Tried to b heroine yest n wana go without painkillers...but i gave up in the middle of the night!

For those who went thru natural, how long did u take the painkillers for? I was given 2 bottles of painkillers but is to b taken when in pain only..so wondering when will the pain b totally gone?

Now is the 5th day after labour my lochia is like light menses,which has been like that since the 3rd day...only 1st 2 days more heavy.isit normal? N i realize when i try to poo, i tend to bleed more..dunoe isit the stitches bleedin? I scared infection eh...hw we know if its infected? Cos i was on strong painkillers in the hospital so didnt really feel much pain, yest when i attempted to go w/o the painkillers, cld really feel the pain,wonderin isit infected?

Pls lor. That time I told who.. was it babys? That he can call & make this very very preggie colleague of mine walk from one end of the floor to his office to ask some boliao questions.

Then if we kena long mc or whatever due to preggie/sickness, his concern will be "who will do this work ah? His boss is asking", "when will she be back", "this project can finish on time or not", not abt whther u're dead or alive lor.

We give up on him being family-oriented. Just want him to be humane!

TMC has typewritten chinese char. But be prepared to wait. Coz it's manned by this old malay man who types using 2 fingers. My hb waited for an hr just for his turn. Average half hr for each turn.

Head circumference 34cm is big? hahhaa. My gal came out 35cm at 37 weeks and so did my boy who came out also 35cm at only 35 weeks! Maybe that's why i couldn't push him out even though he was preterm.

my co. also "miao" on leave issues and can't complaint cos got union here and the union has agreement...
so if i happen to be on HL 2 wks b4 my ML...it will be counted as ML liao...
unless there's a gap of a mth b4 i start ML...

According to my gynae, induce or not induce sure pain one during labour. I did have tablet and drip induced last time. DO not tense up during contractions, if not, cervic will be hard to dilate. After induced, I went back to ward for dinner and rest, never walk...
btw, pls help me to update. I am expecting a boi this time. Thx.

so he will ask us to write down the chinese characters and pin yin...
while he search for it in the system...

Celine, different people different mah. Maybe your built and Reira's built different. And this is your no.2 so even if yours bigger also can push? Plus, maybe your pelvic is wider?
Must trust your gynae...he is the professional.

Reira, so far I heard the painful one is thru drip coz it speeds up contraction. The pill is to soften the cervix.
 
Celine, if till now your gynae didn't say you cannot push out a 3over kg baby then I think it means ok. If cannot he sure warn you.
Don't worry too much now.

he expected that i am clearing all 16wks again...
cos #1 only 12wks(b4 last yr rally speech)...

No leh .. i dun give my mum extra allowance cos i'm only working part-time .. hahaha ... but if she's taking care of bb, i'll give her extra on top of the $250-$300 in case she nids to buy stuff/grocery for bb.

The last time that i was induced for Owen, i was given only the pill at i think 4hrs interval. At 1st still ok, can start to feel contraction already but still can walk cos Ah wong mentioned it helps bb to come out faster. So i just walk around in the room. But after the 2nd pill inserted, i cannot already .. so tired and the contraction so pain, i just lie on the bed and wait.

wondering if they will hold my salary if I extend the ML hack care his approval or unhappiness. Coz I intend to quit after ML.

Dun complain abt nothing to do lah. When u're swamped u'll be very sian, like me. But hor... if there's nothing to do, why can't they approve ur 16 weeks maternity leave?

Piggy, yah..I think with drip cannot walk leh. Unless you walk and push the drip together????
I remember I even have problem flipping from one side to the other that time when I was on drip. The hand so pain and the whole body so tired.

I won't be admitted to the hospital after induce cos Dr said that it is quite rare and you'll be very lucky if 1 tablet works. so mine will be like 10am insert 1st tablet, 4pm insert 2nd tablet. Then hopefully 11pm then admit to hospital. Dr said that 11pm admit, TMC will count it as 12am (next day). lol Else bo hua le.

Went for VE check b4 induce, it was 1st time did VE, so painful!
Brief birth story 2yrs back, hope is useful for those who go induce. But diff gynae might have diff practice. Some required patient to check into hospital at midnight and water bag break in the morning, so gave birth in the afternoon/evening.

10am-gynae check up at clinic-cervic 1cm dilate
3.20pm-admitted to tmc

4.10pm-insert tablet, on CTG

gynae came to burst water bag

4am-cervic 9cm
4.20am-start pushing
4.54am-baby out

Drip was put on only aft waterbag burst, so still can walk around aft tablet inserted. Some might take more than 1 tablet!
