Congratulations to Pris and Mashy! Simply wonderful to know that the months of carrying the baby is all worth it.

Now looking at myself, the excitment and fear seems to be settling in. I feel sharp pain at the bottom too over the past week. Have been telling the little guy not to move that much cos it is causing mummy pain. I am not sure if i get to celebrate my birth day on the 5 Aug. haha...cos if he decides to come early (EDD 12 Aug), who knows we might have the same birthday.

I wanted to come visit you cos I was in TMC today! Was waiting for my turn at gynae clinic till like 12:30pm!! But on 2nd thought, better dont go and bother you haha.

Your EDD is 24 Aug right? Dr Wong said it is common for baby to be engage at week 36.

I am very scared now haha!! dont feel excited at all!!! Just called to ask for my cot to be delivered ASAP and luckily the uncle called back saying tomorrow morning can deliver to me. I packed my hospital bag already but not exactly pack leh. Threw everything inside and it was very messy. lol Even my hubby see liao also shake his head. Then after I came back from TMC, I took my pajamas and nursing bras out to wash. Tomorrow need to wash bedding set!!!

yah lor!! Really donno where zachary get his weight from leh!! I didn't eat a lots like before previous check up but somehow he still manage to gain 250g a week.

I gets sudden sharp pain at the V area when I walk sometimes but it will go away very fast when I stop walking, it just come and go. Maybe thats engage. My gynae said it is common for baby to be engage at week 36 leh!

Actually I think she did said he should be coming out 1st wk of Aug. She said during VE that she cannot feel baby's head.

I am so confused!! both of us are quite sure that she said zachary can come out anytime now cos we were both shocked by it! *blur* My brain is not working since this shocking news! Can only think about packing and washing stuffs!

Walking is good but now I am very scared of walking. I remembered her asking me to walk a lot, maybe will give birth sooner.

Dr Wong didnt talk about c-sect le cos zachary is engaged. she said that my pelvic area feels normal (i think it means can push baby out) when I asked her is there a way to determine if pelvic bone wide enough for baby to come out. Oh no, forgot to talk to her about episiotomy.

I didnt know I was engage till Dr told me today leh!!! Now very scared kept imagining things like baby head dropping further down...

cos hor baby head not low enough does not mean baby wun come out anytime leh.. like pris 1 also mah... i got the same kind of sharp pain describe by u jus tt lately i am feelin it more freq..

Dun worry so much about the milk now, though you can try to cut down on cow's milk now and start more on Mummy's milk.
 
bbS, ha ha ya hor, pris and mashy can visit each other! Maybe they already bump into each other at the corridoor liao... are there many maternity wards at TMC?

reira, last time my gynae said at week 37 baby is engaged, but I never deliver till week 39 leh.. so dun think too much. But its a good idea to get ready.

I feel the pain more freq recently only when I walk tho. If I sit down, only butt will feel pain haha. When sit up, might feel that sharp pain also. Anyway, recently after laying down on my side for awhile, my back and that particular side will be painful when i try to change to the other side.

so far i dont experience any contraction or got any mucus plug so should be ok bah!

thanks. =) A bit stress but I am trying to cool down. Just let Zachary decide when he wants to be born. I kept telling him that it is ok if he wants to be born soon BUT will be ideal if he is born on 1st Aug *haha*. However I ask him not to keep himself inside if he doesnt want to. Cos I think he is too obedient, everything I said so far, he sure won't disappoint me. haiz... hopefully he will be as obedient when he is born.

did you went into labour because of contraction or? Huh... thats mean i might only have 2 weeks to go ah!!! thats last week of july. i wonder if there is any chance to be able to wait until 2 weeks and 5 days later. i am such a troublesome mommy >_< still choose date de!

reira, my waterbag finally broke at week 39 triggering the contractions... ha ha why 2 weeks 5 days later, is it a special date?
 
Mich, haha not special date lah. cos 2 weeks 5 days later is 1st Aug mah. Hoping Zachary is an Aug baby cos my birthday is in Sep and daddy's birthday is in Oct.

I wonder what makes waterbag broke! Will baby being engage cause it to break? How many kg was your girl at that point in time?

Yah I always wonder what makes the waterbag breaks! Maybe its a natural thing that takes place eventually? My girl was 3.1kg at week 39.

haha! when I walk around people will stare at my tummy one... alot of people told me that they have never seen such a big stomach on such a small person!

my dh is not back in Singapore yet and he is lucky if he can make it back in 10 hours... thats why considering if we should induce or not. but will ask dr's advice 1st...

wah, why induce on 23/24 jul? Yeah better not be this week since your dr is not in SG! My dr never mentioned about not in SG so should be ok bah.

anyway, is induce painful? when i was browsing through the thread, i think i read someone said it is painful. hmm... if Zachary dont wanna come out by 1st Aug, I think I might go for induce too. Very worried that he gets too big!!!!

Reira, Dr Wong did say its anytime. But she cannot tell me when so she will go by weekly. Last Fri she tells me not this week since no dilation yet. So she can only estimate when weekly.

My 1st one only engaged at week 37+ but this one slightly earlier. But then engaged doesn't mean will be anytime coz my 1st one took another 2 weeks too before I have real contraction.

Episiotomy is very common for Asian women. Most will have it.

Patricia, my kind of tummyache is there on and off the whole day even after I have pooed. According to my gynae its contraction. And it is this contraction that has helped to push my bb into the engaged position.

Piggytoh, yes....I can feel the pain/soreness at the pubic hair area. Previously before engaged, the soreness is higher.

You don't scare your hb lah. Wait for gynae to confirm it.

Joycec, I am also waiting to see if my girl is going to share the same birthday as me or not.
 
reira, is VE painful? gynae do for me so far..heard is painful right? gng to see him again this fri not sure if he will do for me or not..since alr 37wks...

it seems the contractions from inducing is more painful than natural ones!! When I induced my #1, I had to use double the dose of epi.

VE pain is not really painful lah. for me just a tiny little bit when gynae insert her finger inside and feel weird/uncomfortable when she examine.

I already want to cry when I visit the delivery room during the hospital tour a few month ago!

For 1st time MTB like us really have no idea what to expect... so very kanchiong!

kikilala, hahahaha...the 1st time I went for hosp tour 2 years back I also wanna cry. Hahahah..so scary leh.
And hor, no need to think so much about delivery coz we will be like pigs waiting to be slaughtered...just do what the nurse/gynae tell us. They say take off clothes then you take off. They say open legs then you just open.

hahaha!!!! i like how you decribe it!!! "we will be like pigs waiting to be slaughtered"! I told my hubby also, dont need to kanchiong, just follow what nurse/gynae said and do. we went to antenatal class like never went like that. lol cos all forgot liao... opps
