Kikilala/happi,
yup saw it...but I heard S90 not bad...now S95 is new and I hoping S90 price will drop...hee

donkeymami,
wats the diff with HD n no HD?
I heard it's easy to use? Can have dslr effects but it's auto one?
I'm quite lousy with such stuff...need simple simple
happy.gif

sharon, canon basically is quite user friendly..S90 can shoot in manual mode la..but i dunno how to use always shot in auto mode..but i thk cant achieve DSLR effect still.

HD video the image& sound is clearer compare to no HD.

If you gals have any suggestion on the games to be play on Sat, pls feel free to let me know...
Hw many games shall I plan for an hr ? Two ?

actually i think the kids will be very happy if we just throw random toys on the mat and just let them free play.. haha

dolce, babyS
agreed, just cube, toy will do
let them free crawl ba

OK i am off for lunch with MIL and her sis...
think i better kick my ass to prepare the clippies liao...

**gone **

or shall we make a little sash for them, like "most sociable baby", "tallest baby".... just for fun..

can be just a ribbon sash then we print out these words onto paper and secure them to the ribbon....

or shall we just use a small chalk board or a small white board and write the title on it then let the child hold and take pic? Less labour intensive and good photo moment!

I have a small white board that is light enough for the babies to carry. Its about half a A4 size...

Jul/Mich, I am one sahm here who is hoping to be able to go back to work soon. Really fustrating to look after 2 on my own.

BabyS,

I was thinking of doing up a medal but its printed on cardboard instead and sling on ribbon or sticking the award on a badge and we can pin it on the winner....
BUT im busy with my monnth end close now, duno if have time to do this up or not...
Also still thinking of which "competition" to hold...
1) Tallest Baby ( need to bring measuring tape )
2) Heaviest / Lightest Baby ( need to bring weighing scale )
3) Most popular Mr & Mrs Aug ( need to bring colourful balls for babies to vote but think this might be pretty choatic )

Trying to think of more unique contest...heehe

So sad....
My colleague is due next mth..she felt no movement from her baby since last nite so today am she went to the gynae to check and doc confirm that baby is gone......
I feel so sad for her that I feel like crying.
Hope she can recover....

Dolce, sorry to hear tat happen on ur colig..really sad
sad.gif

Happi, cant le cos they got a limit de..she used her quota for me liao & she said the co jz gave a camera to each staff so she can use up her quota for me.

Oh dear that is so sad, i feel so sorry for your colleague's loss
sad.gif

I have printed out the name sticker for the mummies. Looking forward to this saturday.

oh gosh! just 1 mth to go.... so sorry to hear of your colleague! hope she will take good care n bu her body more! sigh~
sad.gif

hmmm,
both are sad...
sad.gif
...

but how come the gynae never detect if the cord is near the neck?
any form of negligence on the part of gynae?

that's very very sad.
sad.gif

I was born premature @ 32week as the cord was around my neck...
throughout preggie I kept asking the dr if the cord was around my baby's neck or not... but my dr said even if she spot it near baby's neck, usually she will not mention to mum... it does not mean have to go for c-sec immediately

Cord round the neck. Actually the mommy should be informed. My girl also one round her neck since 5mths. Doc asked me not to move or exercise too vigorously. He told me dont worry cos this is all up to god to decide now. He encountered babies with 2 rounds, 3 rounds, etc n still ok. So everyday I will talk to baby in the tummy to stay away from the cord. Will pray for the baby n family.

Dolce: gosh!!! so sad....=(

I think, sometimes with the best u/s machines, may not be able to detect cord entanglement one.. my friend's dr didnt detect anything, but at birth the cord was round her neck 4 times. come out face dark dark one but thank GOd ok..

U where got time to do all those medals.. haha.

I would suggest, have a competition where u can obviously see who the winner is. Cos my friend had such a bday bash with her friends and there was one such category and the baby who won was the one who had the most family member/ helpers with her. (everyone can cast one vote.. this baby had parents, siblings, both side grandparents, helpers..) won becos all the family members voted for the baby.

In the end, alot of pple bu shuang, cos they feel not fair to them.. maybe we should avoid this?

we can have tallest baby, heaviest baby, best walker, best crawler, best bitter (who has most teeth lah. haha), most beautiful hair, most smiley, most sociable.. or cna also have "most likely to be ___" kind of contest etc...

like if the baby talks alot can be "most likely to be newscaster". Looks very serious one: "most likely to be lawyer" award. WIlling to share things "most charitable award.."

Just like Denson, his cord was near his neck on 36wks3days.. Doc suggest immediate induced, I went in on 36wks5days.. Waited more than 24 hrs to get him out on csect finally.. His cord was 2rounds his neck.. It was certainly worrying even wen he is oredi out.. Heart almost sank..

Cloudme,
i not sure only know the nex day she goin to admit hosp for delivery den she can still feel movement on the day be4 den the nex day when she reach hosp den realise bb gone le... really v sad i tink all this r fated 1 jus tt after carryin the bb for so long n lookin forward for the arrival den suddenly gone not easy to accept lo
sad.gif

yes.... i agree... if unfortunately lost the bb during 1st tri or wat.. already painful liao.... cant imagine those, so near to birth le... parents already omoz prepared..etc...... den ya!

sigh~ so hurt to even tink anything near that!!!

to me if the gynae doesn't inform the mummy...
i will fault her immediately and she/he is consider negligence on their part.....

unless..after she/he advise and inform and mummy still can't keep the bb then it's fated...

bb, joyful;
i should say...
all your gynaes are good and very professional...

Irene, totally understand, which is why as much as I wanna spend more time with my kids, I can't really envision quitting and looking after them full time basis.

Jul, over time, I stopped feeling bad about not wanting to be SAHM anymore.

dolce, that is so tragic...

dolce,

Oh dear ... so sad to hear abt yr colleague's case.

Actually, Ovann oso had the cord round his neck ... it wasn't detected. We only saw it when he's out from my tummy.

Dat day i was having dinner when this happened -

Ovann: (points to his rider car)
hubby: Oh, u want your car? Come, daddy bring it here.
Ovann: (shakes head, points to car, whine)
hubby: Oh, u dun want the car? Ok, daddy put it back.
Ovann: (whines loudly, shakes head, points to car)
hubby: Den wat do u want? I bring the car here u dun want. I put it back u oso dun want?
ME: For goodness sake, he wants u to put him in the car lah.
hubby: oh, is it? Ok ok .. (proceed to carry ovann and put him in the car)
Ovann: Smiling

Hi everyone, hope all is well. Everyone gearing up for the big bash. wow...
a pity i can't join. nevermind, hope all of you have fun and babies too.

piggytoh/dolcevita: that's very sad. Last time, in my office, my ex-colleague ( she has left this company) also preg up til 8th mth, then suddenly detect baby has no heartbeat, and gone.
It is very sad, she is expecting her 2nd one, and her 1st baby is normal.
Then the thing is ..she took 1 month leave to recuperate from the loss. Then once, i took lift with her, another dept's lady saw her and asked her "hey, u delivered liao ar? how's ur baby?".
Then my this colleag's facial expression changed...she forced a weak smile, and said to the person "i talk to u some other days".

Agree such things really fated..

I have not started on any trials for my boy. Am i very slow? heehee..i am a lazy mummy.
GUG sounds quite gd, but is it ok if i go to the trial session at mountbattern and i eventually sign up at elsewhere, eg. United square?

pegs: heee...... i have the same exprience too lor.. i think quite a few of us have the same experience?

i think its hard for parents who lose a child so late in pregnancy. Imaging undoing the things that u done for the baby's arrival. imagine how they feel when they look at the empty cot..

Dolce: i'll pray for ur friend..

baby s,
Ya, indeed it's very sad. When i stayed in hospital cos my waterbag broke (my previous pregnancy), the lady in the next bed had also just lost her bb. And to make matters worse, somehow somebody cock up somewhere and she was issued a death cert for her bb.

She has been quite calm & quiet during her stay there. The only time i heard her cried was when she got the death cert.
sad.gif

bobo,
Hahaha ... aiyah, i spent all my day with him, for sure i'd know him better than my hubs. But it was pretty funny dat day. I din want to interfere cos i just want them to have daddy-time. Who knows ovann was abt to cry from his whinning, i think i'd better step in
happy.gif

lets just hope dolce's friend will handle this well..

lets move on..

I cannot find the archive with the venue details!

pegs:: n i tink yur hb getting abit impatient oso le... asking him this dun wan..that dun wan.. den wan wat kind.. hehe~

I'm back! Sam's asleep hehe

BDAY BASH

All babies are supposed to turn up in the bash t shirt right? Then I better collect from Pegsfur 2moro so Sam can have a tshirt.

No more cupcakes??? So sad
sad.gif

donkeymami

I'll TT the money for the buffet to you later tonite k? Dun have my token with me at mi ILs'.

kiki, sharon

I really wanna come to the bash n see all the Aug babies too! It's been almost a yr since I saw eevryone!

mashy

Well.. he was 10.4kg at his 1yr jab. Not say the heaviest but not the lightest too. His weight gain stopped after the first 7 or 8 months. If u look at him, u wudn't think he's sumo size at all.

As for chewy bits in porridge.. sigh.. I think I've complained b4 that MIL keeps worrying he wun be able to digest so everything must be BLENDED!

I need to use Elomet for my eczema coz it's soo bad! Even Dermasone can't help, not to mention hydrocort. Pathetic skin right?

april

Oh I hope Edric's feeling better now?

pegsfur

Coz Sam eats pork for lunch n fish for dinner so can't cook together. And MIL is scandalised that the poreridge is kept from 11am till 6pm. Aiyah dun say liao.. Say already I start to feel depressed haah

happi

I'm quite shamed to say this.. but with mum, we can always quarrel with them. Witl ILs.. gotta bottle it up, & it might just burst from the pressure!

irene

U're not gog to be [erm SAHM? I salute u! How do u cope with 2? One is driving me up the wall

mich

I thought hard abt my decision to go back to work. But once I mentally prepared myself, it was ok already. I think being tired, unhappy at my ILs', physical discomfort of my hands, lack of $$ all helped to make the decision easier, u know?

Besides, I think being away from Sam will make me miss him & be more patient with him. That will be better for both of us.

Of course, there's the fact that my ILs' will 'do their own things' & ignore my wishes/preferences for bringing up my child.. But since I'm being forced to endure & compromise many things now, I might as well not see anything & leave everything to them.

Having to compromise makes both parties unhappy. Might as well let one party be happy abt getting their way & the other will pretend ignorance. Self consolation, I guess?
