happy bellies...
I open the brown rice for my boy to try for 3 days already. First day he was ok, then yesterday and today, he will cry when he eat it.
When I try to smell it hor, I think got abit of "chao yu" smell and it tasted like it was quite old stock.
Is it the same for you huh?

piggytoh:hummm this week lucas not into much cereals or milk so.....morning feed he finishes loooo ( with alot of entertaining etc) much fuller than others or not ar....no le still the same.

You think its supposed to have "chao yu" smell? usually these dry stuffs have 1-2 years shelf life, so it could be that our batch are produced some time back already.

i bought my happy bellies brown rice cereal from taste original (that harbourfront shop). opened it for about a month already. Just went to smell it, no "chao yu" smell. infact it smell quite nice - brown rice powdery smell. i think the expiry for it is in may or june.

seems that the swim diaper seller went oversea. thats why replied late.
i bought my happy bellies brown rice cereal from taste original (that harbourfront shop). opened it for about a month already. Just went to smell it, no "chao yu" smell. infact it smell quite nice - brown rice powdery smell. i think the expiry for it is in may or june.

Wah that weight is just nice mah.. my boy was 6.6kg when he was 2 months, and at 4 months already 8.5kg liao lor.. haiz speechless liao, so heavy sia...

and i see his size can tell sure perfect weight, no need to ask even, sure very easy to carry leh. hehee..

not sure about the cereal but brown rice itself according to my neighbour, can be quite heaty for babies so please remember to let your babies drink a bit more water to prevent constipation..
Me still got to lun for another 7 days before I can start Renzo on solid, hehee..

u open for 1 mth still haven finish? for healthtimes hor once open it is advisable to finish with in 1mth leh not sure at HB but my bb alr finish half tin liao in jus 1 wk..

Hahaha ... i'm happy with his current weight now
Ovann has finished a tin of the frisocrem cereal. Asked hubby to go buy and he cldn't find any after searching 3 ntucs ... finally found it at the econ minimart near our house. He was complaining, how come all the things i chose so hard to find one? Ovann's friso milk powder oso like dat, even my dog's canned food too! Dunno if it's just conincidence or wat.

Aaden has the same toy as sam. He simply adores it as well. Tina the tiger cannot match up with the similar toy from lamaze. Bought a musical elephant for him, but he still prefers tina.

Weishy, thanks for reminding. U told me before need to cook. Heehee...I remember. I hv been reading up about baby rice cereal, I thought wholegrain rice is iron fortified? I've in mind to start my baby with organic germinated brown rice cereal (homemade) but I need to ask PD for opinion tomorrow. A lot of questions to ask the PD including the Enfalac stage 1 n 2. I was told stage 1 is better so hv been sticking to stage 1 but read here some mommies r discussing about stage 2, better ask the PD lah. How come I'm always so nervous when it's closer to my baby's injection? Hmmmmm....

Actually i dun feed aaden with any stuff before the injection. Partly HB doesnt like to feed the little one with medication (be it chinese or ang moh). So usually i will keep my fingers crossed. but on the 2 occasions, he had slight fever.
Think next time will try the barley water. but understand that it needs to be chinese barley. ehh...dun need to put sugar right? haha...this first time mummy is blur...very blur gal.
Thanks! Guess he is as adorable as his mummy. haha...mummy very thick skin hor. Would love for him to have double eyelids and bigger eyes...but bo pian, his mummy is single eyelid gal so he has to stick with what he has lah. haha...
Counting down to 12 Aug when he is offically 6 months to feed him solids. My mil is already planning to cook porridge for him after CNY. Not sure he is ok with it. Been testing "water" on aaden, fed him a few spoons of Healthy Times, seems ok.

My gal is better now. No more cough and phleghm. When she fell ill, her appetite went bonkus too. Till I was so fed up I kept on forcing her to drink. Then there was one time she kena force until choke and vomited out a lump of phleghm with some milk. Was so SO SO so happy when I saw that lump of phleghm. Haha ... *sadist*
Anyway, now she's finally ok, I shall bring her for her last 5in1 jab tml.
Dunno why she still doesn't want to drink like before. My mum says she's ready for solids. Today, she "fasted" from 10am to 3pm. 3pm I force latch her then she drink a bit, slept. Then 4.30pm drank another 100ml.
Only till 7pm then she managed to drink a good feed of 160ml.
Really dunno what's wrong with her. Sigh.
