Welcome to the "finally feel bb moving club"!
Hi blessed,
Try not to take those tablet-add-to-water like Redoxon. Cos I check a few brands, they all add artifical sweetener Aspartame. That sweetener supposed to not be very good for health in the long run.
I'm just taking the normal prenatal multivit, hopefully that will help boost immune system.

My tummy big & round lah, just that haven't protrude beyond my boobs yet. Maybe we should follow the Aug thread, start posting pictures of our pregger belly....
i usually wear baggier clothes, that's why now still can fit in them. Colleague was joking that I am like those uncles with beer belly, button jeans belly my tummy =p Told me to go buy suspenders so jeans won't accidentally fall down....

Sheryl, I suppose at any 1 time that we are counting the movements, we got about 10 should be okay.
Don't think I watch the clock either if I'm mentally noting the counts.

I'm the tall and skinny kind, until last week when I went out during lunch to the Taka fair, I haven't gotten much people giving up seats to me, MRT or bus alike. It's worse when I used to go to work in the office in the morning, people are more "blind". Listening to the chinese radio channel yesterday afternoon, and they were running an interview about people giving seats up to old people and pregnant women. The comments are varied about what kind of people will do it. So far for me, it has been students, and 1 middle-age lady for the few times a seat was given up to me. 1 time, a guy was questioning his GF if I was pregnant before gave up his seat. One morning, cos the car was sent for servicing, my hubby took the train with me, and he was surprised for the 1st time (he probably doesn't believe me before when I told him people can be so blind) when he had to stare so hard at this man who was in a priority seat in front of me. The stare, of cos, doesn't work lar, but the man got off the train about 3 stops later anyways.
Sometimes I think my baby sleeping in the forward position that she pushes my belly button in a protruded position, and my tummy looks sharp also helped her mummy to look very pregnant to get a seat

lamagier - my belly protrude beyond boobs like at 4 months already. i look as bigger as a 6mth singleton MTB 
yesterday i took MRT and it was crowded. I pointed to the lady sitting in PRIORITY SEAT and asked if i could have it. she did ! and when i took bus, I also asked aunty to give up the seats with special signs for me. and she did too ! guess must be thick skin and ask. after all, they thick skin enough to take MY seat !!

Nowadays, people just act "blur" whenever they see a preggy lady on bus and MRT. So far, there are two incidents where foreigners let their seat to me whereas the rest just act blur and it's pretty obvious that im preggy. Sad but true.
Side track, my water retention has kicked in, feet and hands are abit swollen now..cant even wear my ring which is a size bigger..
Btw, someone posted earlier to do bulk order for BM storage bags? I'm keen though i have bought abox of 20pcs. Kiasu mummy..

im also interested in the BPA free bottles. esp for the storing of BM avent bottles. 4 for $30+ but thinking twice abt it, it's onli 4oz. to not sure whether should buy or not. i tink mummies tend to be kiasu. better to haf mroe then lack of it.

it's buggies that has only 1 position. It's very lightweight and usually used for short distances/shopping malls. It's meant for older kids so that u don't need to lug the heavy stroller everywhere u go.

baby journal is one thing i do keep record of any mixed feelings or new updates...thinkin of continuing it and pass it to my son one fine day...any of you mummies do that too?

(*sob*) I have yet to be offered a seat.... not even once..... Just now colleagues told me to stuff pillow under my blouse before I enter the mrt... then confirm will get seats... really must go out to celebrate when I finally do get offered a seat on public transport

Your tummy housing 2 babies mah.... I paisay to ask for seats sometimes cos I'm feeling much better than in first trimester. And I remember Straits times once interviewed a lady who had back prob but nobody offer her seat. I also hesitant to ask for seats in case the occupant has problem like that....

i do haf a blog even before i bcome pregnant. but then slowly it bcomes more like updating on my pregnant tingy. like the first movement, 1st bump, hiccups etc. hahas! but i wish to transform everything into an album. will print out the pictures of my tummy also. i feel that in the future, it will be somethin that will bring my boy and me closer. to let him understand the whole ting of having him in my tummy till delivery ^^

Hi mummies down there, do you experience bb having hiccups inside your tummy? it last almost 5min non-stop just now. he still doing it now but not so vigorous. i'm not sure if he is having hiccups. what is the feelings like?
blessed09, for the past 2 weeks i also encounter my tummy getting bigger & bigger. the feeling is so great to know he is growing well inside.
I was offered a seat FIRST time on the train on monday by a sch teenage gal. she called me from a distance. but all the passengers nearby simply like a stone refused to move to let me walk towards the seat. :S

i tink sometimes it's the one whom we tink surely wun gif up seats for us that will gif up seats. like i saw this china lady giving up a seats for an uncle whose wife was seated next to her. and also a china lady also gave up her seat to me once and another uncle also offer to gif up the seats to me once.

my father and sis gimmie a hack care attitude. jus ask me to avoid to do certain tasks. but they never realli ask how's my check up, how's my baby and such. i still haf to go up to them, show them my baby's picture. bcos dey never bother to ask, when i told them my EDD is 31st july, they were like, why so fast?! and when they see my baby's picture they ask 'so big alreadi?!'
$$ wise, they are not giving any support as my dad still need to pay for my bro's sch fees and allowance. then my sis is trying to cover all the bills etc as my dad's earnin aint much. thou she haf savings but i believe she would need tat in the future when she get married thou nw dun haf bf. but still dun wish to use the money.

Yah, from the pt of view of your sis, if she's already helping to cover household expenses, she probably won't feel obliged to help u. It's a choice u made and you will have to help yourself.

She sent her kid to infant care. Coz she's considered low income, so can get more subsidy at the infant care. Her boy is now 2yrs+ and she's got herself a new boyfriend who seems to be able to accept him. I was trying to help her get a nanny, that's why know abt the NTUC providing free matching service.

Hi Mrs C, Woo.. what an coincident. , I am going for my detailed scanning next Monday. To tell you the truth, I am kinda worried and anxious, am praying that my baby gal is as healthy as can be.. nonetheless, I am so looking forward to see a snapshot of her..
I am always feeling aches and cramps at the side of my tummy and at the lower part of stomach.. sigh, from your experience, I bet i will get stretchmarks sooner or later...

i thought that the subsidy depends on the working hrs? tat is the information tat i get thou. im also low income. onli slight abit more then $1k after cpf deduction. but i tink still, nanny is much cheaper after checkin out the price for infant care around my area.
my bf will b out in 2010 july, still a long wae. it will definitely b hard for him in the future. but this is wad he should endure since he is the one who dun listen to advise. can still remb the evening i tell him dun anihow else next time regret. tat night he committed the crime. realli duno whether should cry or laugh at the point of time. but i guess it's fated lar.

Regarding the extra subsidy, u can contact your CDC that you stay in or ask the childcare centre that you're interested in. Perhaps a nanny might be better for u if u need to work late.

ohh. i jus check out the infant care subsidy. i tink i remb wrongly. i thought is only $500 subsidy. check again then realise is $600. mayb can check with the family centre tat im going to tomrorow to check whether dey can gimmie mroe subsidy ^^ hopefully 400 or less. hahas! my working hrs kinda fix. so not realli a problem for infant care. moreover i check alot of them are from 7-7. so is okie.

yuppies. we sort of broke off before he is being sentence. and i refused to see him as im not sure wad i should do at that time also since i feel i will b alone whether we patch up or not, as he will b inside. can sae, im quite immature at that time, tryin to avoid the problem. but the ting is, the problem is there and i can never run awae. but we do haf plans to marry in 2010 even before the whole ting. but well, whether he is worth moving or not i guess we will never know since i duno how mature he will b or how sensible he will b after going thru the whole sentence.
but no harm waitin for him to come out and see hw everiting goes ^^ since nw i haf to wait till delivery and will b busy lookin after my kids till at least 1yr then i will haf more time to look for the other half. so for nw, jus gif both of us some space and time to see everiting.
im more afraid tat when he came out, im unable to accept his changes and he is unable to accept my changes. so im not realli pinning lots of hope. if realli cant b together animore, then so b it. it's fate. but i wun deprive him of being a dad and see my child.

oic. It's true that many things would have changed by the time he comes out. He could have learnt good stuff or bad stuff there. And you would have changed too after becoming a mother. I tell u, being a mother is really a life changing thing.
Also, u will need to ask yourself, would u want him as a role model for your son? Do you want your son to grow up like him? Think abt it...

Jamie & Sherryl, my detail scan was last fri cos nurse said cannot past 24th week and Dr Ong is not ard this week. I had to take a walk for 15 min cos bb not in good position but still the same after that.. my ger stubborn lah.. *like me* The blood test for the testing of GD will be the next visit after the detailed scan. The detailed scan cost $130 w gst.

There is a saying "Xian Ku Hou Tian" so by the time your bb is 20, you are only 40 and you might even have y our first grandkid before 50! which means tat i believe tat we should gif them a chance. he's been convicted before doesn mean tat he wun turn over a new leaf. well, mayb it's not his 1st offence. it's the 3rd. but i believe he never realli learnt previously bcos he was let off very lightly. and this time it's a 18months sentence. it's a period where he will miss out the pregnancy stages of our boy, the 1st yr of our boy. and also, his youth. imagine turning 21yrs old in that kind of place? when everyone else's 21st birthday is a big thing.
i dun expect much from him. i wun expect him to realli fork out money to raise me and my boy. i jus wish tat he will b more mature and learnt his lesson and realli know how to commit in this family. if none of the above is able to come true, well, if he still wan to b the dad, i wun deprive him of it. wad if.. 1 dae my boy come and ask me, why i dun haf a daddy? and then i tell him bcos ur daddy is bad. and mayb he will start blaming me tat why i didnt let him acknowledge his dad and deprieve him of hafing 1.
but 18 months is realli a long wae. but haf made it veri clear to him tat, he will no longer b my priority. bcos i believe, no matter hw much i love him, my pain will b lessen whenever i see my boy ^^

i read somewhere baby move more when we are lying down as when we lie down, they haf more space to move. plus when we walk, we're exercisin our hips hence somethin like rocking them and thus they will fall asleep most of the times or feel sleepy. hees. so cute right?!
