Caramelle : I've gotten a blue Hospital admission letter from Dr Woodworth. I'll probably admit myself into hospital for 1 day next week to get 2-3 weeks hospital leave.

But my BH and my pelvic pains are really bad.Seeing him tomorrow to ask him what's wrong.Plus my BH is getting closer and closer together.Slept only 3 hours last night because of the pain...
 


tiny, poor you. pelvic pain no joke ah. and this BH must be the hardening of the tummy im feeling..have been getting a few but she's also moving around quite often so not too worried now.

re the blue letter: so once you check out on 2nd day, just inform HR is it? no need to show them the letter?

eh if your hubby back already?

Cassey - Excited for you!! you should be very soon liao leh. oreadi 3cm dilate. Better take care and get accompany wherever u go. Hubby to STANDY anytime now, remember to ask him not to put his mobile on silent mode and always check his mobile for your emergency call! haa..

I went checkup on wed, baby at 2.67kg at coming wk36. Heard from doc that Medisave claim will be increase for babies pop from 1 June. This info is confirmed to doc jus recently.
 
Caramelle : This is what my gynae explained to me -

1) Get blue hospital admission letter from gynae beforehand.

2) SMS him when I'm on the way to the hospital.Up to me when I want to admit myself.

3) Gynae says he recommends checking myself in at 8.30am for observation. (I plan to check myself into a 4 bedder.Then bring my laptop and a novel to read).

4) Gynae will come and "check" on me during the day and "declare" me unwell (eg, stomach cramps,back pain,etc etc) and "tell" me i can go home to rest and give me 2 - 3 weeks hospital leave.

5) I check myself out at around 5.30pm and go home.

- I already have chalked up quite a few MCs this year and i dont want to start my ML early and waste precious leave.

- But the CON in this situation is that if you decide to go wit hthis plan, what if you give birth a few days into your hospital leave?Then it'll feel like you've wasted your time....

Jam75 : I'll start my 37th week on 19 May 2009 so this baby better stay in till next Tuesday...

I dont really like the element of surprise.haha.Would prefer if i have enough time to go for a nice long wash & blow, one last nice quiet romantic dinner with the hubby and to satisfy my Yami cravings - like Cassey =] before baby comes...
 
Caramelle : Yup!Yup! Hubby is back already. He keeps telling me that he finds it odd that i'm acting normal and not freaking out about having a baby come out of my vagina anytime now....

Actually, the more he says things like that, the more I start to freak out in in my head.But i think it hasnt fully sunk in yet since we havent set up nursery and i havent washed baby clothes yet....
 
Dolly, yea, been busy leh. Trying to clear my work before popping mah. U be popping soon, so excited liao? Yeah, i also hope my baby will tahan till den. Cos think is up by about $300plus.
 
OOoooo the Spaggetti Strap Bra looks good... so tempted to buy. I always like comfory bras... My bras now all no underwire and seamless...

tiny, good for you. make sure he stays by your side all the time.

im also acting normal..people in the office beginning to annoy me with questions like whether im excited blah blah blah. i told them i was SUPER excited until 20 people asked me the same question.

even tho i started early with the baby clothes washing, i didnt keep it up so now her blankets, nappies etc still unwashed. so was thinking of doing it this weekend.

tiny, preserve your sanity because when the baby comes, then you can go into overdrive.

So angry with myself!! Mothers En Vogue is selling the exact same bra for $29.90 and i bought it.If I had know i can get it for cheaper on the BP,i would have done so a long time ago!!!

I'm thinking of getting the spaggeti bra, tube bra (currently on sale for about $7.90,i think) and the sleep bra.....

i'm also not using any underwired because i heard it's not good for the milk ducts.
 
Yes and the comfory lvl not there with underwire.

I bought mine in department stores.. Sorella brand. Seamless 2 for $30 also.

I'm wearing 80B at the moment. I wonder I should get which size? And the cup... does it fit or not? I can't tell from the picture man!

Eh tiny bubu... no beige colour. I saw grey and lavender only. Is lavender light purple??
 
qi, when i put deposit at KKH last week, it says maximum medisave claim is SGD1800 for normal delivery. so is this the new or old rate?

on the BP thread is her website where you can go have a look at the sizes etc etc.

if not, can just email / PM her.She says she has ready stocks for the bras.
 
Well it depends you buy nursing bra for latching on or pumping purpose? Most of us wont know, just like me. My boy is unable to latch on so I express out milk. And I was a clueless mom when it comes to clothes. I bought cheap bras about $20 just a size bigger, and wore them until I stop breast feeding. What I did was to remove the entire bra and start pumping beause the weather's simply too hot, and it's closed doors anyway.

Because I won't know what I need until I am there, I figured.

oh btw, for all of Dr Woodworth's patients - i called up TMC to see if i can make an appt to see Dr Woodworth tomorrow morning there instead of travel to SengKang in the afternoon and the nurse was so funny. She told me Dr Woodworth has stopped meeting patients for consultations at TMC for the time being because he cannot cope. She said he has a lot of patients at both his clinics and his patients all dropping like flies...hahaha all going into labour at almost the same time so he's very overwhelmed...

looks like he'll be more pro to inducing if this is the case...
 
Mine's old rate. My rate is 2006 rate aahahhahahahahha! I thought no changes?

so if now is 1800 +300 (is it for all hospital?)=2100??

Oh then maybe I can get the beige one... I have more lighter clothes

actually lavender is light purple..but i think tiny bubu means that the lighting makes it appear beige?

the one im buying from is mumindulgence and darius. with the former, i can try at her house cos she stay sengkang..quite near to me.
 
tiny, i told my gynae and seems it's part and parcel of the baby being head-down now. i scared to massage the area skali induce labour lagi worse. i just take a bit more time to stand and sit, and i feel im "immuned" to the pain now so don't feel it so much. im having trouble sleeping but not because baby kicking, just feel whichever side i sleep on (left or right) then leg on that side would be very painful (as if there's a load on it). and most times end up sleeping on my back..which means waking up is even MORE painful. but im not complaining cos i know some MTBs have it worst right? just got to ren for few more weeks. hubby on night duty until next tuesday so i get the whole bed to myself..can roll here and there like a log!

so funny what you said abt woody. can't imagine that he's too busy to cope!

qi7, if you can try the bras before buying better. mothercare sales assistant told me that for the band can get one size smaller, but the cup size remains eg if you wearing 36B not for maternity then you buy 34B.
 
Nursing bras: When I was at Robinsons on Wed, the Triumph lady measure me and my size is 90B... so huge! Anyway, I gotten 90B, 90C, and 2x 85C, cos I figure might need to put in the nursing pads... and it's buy 3 get 1 free
Funny thing is when I was trying, don't feel much difference between the sizes!
 
HMmmm I also thought about trying first...

I think I am the werid one? my size havent change a bit, before was 80B now also 80B. only breasts getting full... Not like last time. For my boy I've gotten like 90C.

bbPotato: I called up the medical hall, this Mrs Chua seems VERY ON! Keep asking me to go down to see what option I have for the placenta processing. The basic package is $75 and they will make it into pills after 1 week.

i was thinking instead of nursing pyjamas to wear at home,might as well get comfy nursing bras and wear shorts.provided if your hubby is the only man around the house....

then when i want to go out, i can also use the nursing bras...

if i get hursing pyjamas, i still have to wear a nursing bra inside as i would need to stick a breast pad on to stop leakage...

Me jus came bk fr chk up..35 weeks 4 days....gain 2kg over 1 mth..bb gain 600g. Now 2.6kg. Did a VE. Dilate 1 cm! obgy estimate will pop end may! omg..dunno to be excited or wat....

tiny, my mum say not everyone experience leakage. don't know if true or not. if you feed and pump religiously on both sides, then shouldnt have leakage.

I also ordered the bra! Looks good and comfy! Those that I bought earlier are getting fitting now, so I worried they may not fit when I give birth. So I better buy now.

Now my nose like dripping non-stop, due to my stupid flu. Darn angry! Have to eat something now cos need to take medicine.
