hm... of labour pains... i don't think i'm afraid. i counter that by reading a lot of the labour process, to the extent that whatever i hear or read now i brush off as normal (self-delusion huh) hahaha
plus... i believe God designed our bodies to withstand the process. think about it, women having been giving birth for thousands of years.
if all else fails, i'll ask for epidural. i don't think i'm afraid of the process itself 'cos i'd probably be too caught up in the situation to think properly (even if they perform episiotomy on me), BUT i am quite scared of the healing period from the epi. i've heard it's not that bad and passes in one week, but still.... imagine the pain when the epidural wears off.... ouch!
