hubby got to work so can't attend the bash a the last min, so disappointing. Will be so nice to meet all of you again becos i doubt there's such big gathering anytime soon and I will be due in Jul, hiaz.

Since my boy missed out the march 1 yr bash, I made up for him by attending a trial class at gymboree today. He enjoyed it so we signed a package immediately. $499 for 12 lessons which I have the flexibility to choose between the Play & Learn or the music classes, so looking forward to bring him for his next lesson

Gracie got exhausted and became really cranky after 2 hours of activity so I had to leave early. Sorry for not bidding farewell; hubby arrived earlier than expected while I was walking Gracie.

Hello morning mummies!
Just recovered from my flu and cough.. think this virus is very strong, as I pass the flu to my helper and my son. But my son is also ok now.
You mummies have to take care as now weather is so unpredictable, one day cooling and raining, one day is hot and humid.
Isaac is now on Nan Pro 3. Just bought the big box that contain 3X650g packet to try. Seems like cheaper conpare to buying tin by tin.
I missed the BD bash and hope you all did enjoy yourselves. Cos my hubby is not free and I have no confident in taking my boy to the bash with my tummy alone.. haha... Looking forward to see the pix on facebook.
Anyone is letting go of your baby cot? I am looking for one that can move thru the door for #2. Email me if you have one.

re. dry flakey skin on scalp (head)
my boy has lots of white flaks on his scalp, can see the skin is dry n peeling. anyone encountered? pd org said cld still be cradle cap then tell me is bb dandruff on later visit. dun know wat it is n can't find any info on bb dandruff. like spreading more areas so am concerned. anyone know wat this is, pls advise!
re. enzema / sensitive skin
i rem reading there's a good doc for this? rec by a few mummies, n i tink alfafa brought gracie to see before? can any mummies let me hv the contact? i can't find it in the archives. my boy hving sensitive skin n rashes still (popping out more areas, now on knee caps + his arms). pd said cld b mild enzema but i dun wanna apply steriod cream esp since it doesn't seem to bother him, only me worried abt it lah. want to get 2nd op.

You can try using 1 small drop of baby oil/coconut oil rub/spread evenly on his scalp. My mum used to do it after bathing onto my boy, she said this is to prevent dirt stick onto their scalp which will later become dry flakey/like drandrulf. So far till now, my boy scalp is ok but not his body skin... he got eczema

Ryker has very very sensitive & dry skin, cfm by doctor is ecezma, esp. hot weather, it gets worse. He konws what is itchy, if I stop him from scratching, he will push my hands away. He feel uncomfortable. I feel very sad & bad seeing him suffer.
I've tried all types of medicine, moistures & creams... still the same. I only put steriod cream unless is very very serious, orelse keep moisturizing him.
If any mummies got good recommendation, pls advise too.

Eczema/dry/sensitive/itchy skin
Aim for nothing less than perfect skin on bb. When my boy has a flare up I dun even wait for it to become serious before applying sparing amt of steroid cream on a regular basis (if apply only as and when it isn't as effective so no point)- better to get it under control early than let it worsen, not only cos the protective barrier of the skin will be broken, but also the earlier u treat the overall less amt of steroid cream u will end up using compared to when it gets really bad. Becos I live in temperate climate and eczema is a dry skin condition, I slap on the moisturiser like nobody's business and tho its difficult in humid and hot sg, cover up the areas affevted after applying the creams - arms/legs with long sleeves, feet with socks etc (except face lah ;p). Also when applying the steroid cream, have to not apply the same time as the moisturiser or the steroid will be diluted and wun have its full effect. Leave abt half to 1 hour in between applying each one.
Also bear in mind potential allergens that can trigger off a rash on sensntive skin. I use non bio detergents and wash at min 60 degrees to kill off house dust mite. His shower/bath gel also hypoallergenic and in flare ups I add a baby bath powder that softens the water to bathe him too. Works well in europe and in sg so far ;p

Becos I live in temperate climate and eczema is a dry skin condition, I slap on the moisturiser like nobody's business and tho its difficult in humid and hot sg, cover up the areas affevted after applying the creams - arms/legs with long sleeves, feet with socks etc (except face lah ;p). Also when applying the steroid cream, have to not apply the same time as the moisturiser or the steroid will be diluted and wun have its full effect. Leave abt half to 1 hour in between applying each one.
Also bear in mind potential allergens that can trigger off a rash on sensntive skin. I use non bio detergents and wash at min 60 degrees to kill off house dust mite. His shower/bath gel also hypoallergenic and in flare ups I add a baby bath powder that softens the water to bathe him too. Works well in europe and in sg so far ;p

if your bb or even adults have eczema, can try renew lotion from melaleuca. My hb has been suffering from eczema for 10 over years & has tried all sorts of cream, lotion & applied steriod cream or took steriod jab till the skin has thinned & left white patches.
He started using renew lotion abt 1 year back & hasn't feel the itch that much. When my boy was abt 2 mths old, we discovered he had patches of eczema too & we started applying the cream for him which has helped him too.
