i can see that Mamie is already feeling sad as we only have 2 more days here... can imagine how the tears will flow on Saturday

oh yeah, was quite upset just now, my mum saw that a part of my stroller had been damaged. Must have been on the flight because we didn't use it from the time we landed until today. And it was def ok when we checked it in. I'm going to call and see how much it will cost to repair but it's def not going to be cheap.

btw, how's the situation in SG regarding H1N1?
i am getting quite worried about the flight back again
sad.gif

sigh... dunno why i am always worried... the last time worried about coming to France (H1N1 and water for FM), then now worried about flight and community spread of H1N1...

seriously after using the big stroller here in France, hubby is thinkg of selling the Combi Miracle Turn and buying another more sturdy stroller... previously we bought Combi before Oli was born thinkg that it is light so that we can bring it anywhere, esp when we travel. but after Oli was born, we find the stroller a bit small for him. and also since we have a car, bigger stroller should not be a problem for us. and on top of that, we didn't even have to bring the stroller for this trip as SIL bought 1 for him here.

Prosper, sorry just saw your post. It was 11.80 euros for me. Converted it was S$23.79 for each. Don't know if it will be the same in Sept. If I am buying only a few, then I'll get from Auchan as it's cheaper there. Otherwise, I'll just order from same place to save myself the trouble. Getting from one supermarket in the town to another is like travelling from Orchard to Jurong. Am getting 5 as gifts for my friends who are popping soon. Pregnancy must be contagious!

Yeah, a bit sad huh. It's Maxi Cosi and Bugaboo as well. Major heart pain. They're actually very sturdy, the damage is mainly cosmetic but I want it repaired in case the sharp parts scratch someone.

If you have a car, no prob getting a bigger one like Quinny Buzz, Bugaboo, Stokke. The only thing is you must get used to opening and closing it. Initially, I kept hittin myself on the foot with the stroller. OUCH. But now used to it, can sometimes even open with a professional flourish haha

Depends on where you normally bring Oli...
If you keep to city walking a lot then Combi should be sufficient. For us, we keep bringing the stroller on grass, gravel, cobbled walkways etc so the Bugaboo has been awesome. It mounts small kerbs almost effortlessly, doesn't skid on gravel. FIL and MIL were commenting at how easy it was for them to use, especially since the carseat can clip directly on the chassis. But Oli is so big, I think he will outgrow the Cabrio very soon, so this feature is quite useless for you

Wah, I know exactly how you feel. When are you going back again?
For me was not as bad because they know we'll be back in Sept. Even then, there were some red eyes already.

we're considering Quinny or Stokke. but understand that for Stokke, the parts are sold separately. so may cost a bomb. as for Quinny, i heard that it's now cheaper due to GSS.

If Quinny, go to Baby Ave or Baby Hypermart cos they are the local distributor...
Stokke is much cheaper in France/Europe. Don't buy here!!

hubby might come back in Sept to attend a good friend's wedding... but Oli n me will probably wait till next year's summer
sad.gif

sent u PM already...
ya, next summer is so long cos i dun think my boss will be happy if i take long leave again this year. plus, xmas might be too cold for Oli... and after this trip (of taking care of Oli alone), i want to wait till Oli is older to come back again. at least by then he can eat solid food, and can run around in the garden.
next time, we should visit each other when we come back... our place is like a little farm, with cherry, apple and pear trees. btw, Normandy is famous for their apples and of course, camembert.
MIL also keeps 2 lambs.

yup, so far not many pple in SG pronounced his name correctly. even our JP during our solemnisation didn't get his name right after repeating to her many times... haha

And your name is a guys name in French lol
Well, guess we both have the same problems with names. My own parents have problems pronouncing S and A's names hahaha

Cool! We'll try for next summer then. I don't mind making a trip to Caen to see your 2 lambs :D
I like Camambert but Brebis is my fave... yummo!

yup, the ladies version should be Jeanne... then again, i think many pple dunno how to pronounce
happy.gif

sure, next summer... can check if Daphne wants to join us... hahaha

i am not so adventurous when it comes to cheese, Camembert is very mild that's why i like... never had Brebis b4, but tried Pont L'Eveque, not too bad also
happy.gif

hmm, no msn, only google talk. Let me see if can d/l...
Brebis is v mild. It's sheep cheese. Like Brie or cheddar.
Actually, do you know if we can eat cheeses like chevre, roquefort if we are b-feeding?

Prosper
