hi lenny, frm wat u described, brianne needs more patience frm u during this period...hope u don b affected by my description of not using a spoon to feed milk...i once toyed e idea of using a spoon to feed my boi w my ebm, but my mom's idea was tat once milk is exposed to e air, not so good...of course, we use spoons for feeding but i guess wat she says has a pt too...in e end he gets used to feeding ebm using milk bottle...so using e spoon is out...but i guess if u hav exhausted all alternatives...u can consider wat e parent craft suggests...

Hi momz, lez put this issue into perspective...pls don tink putting bb in e yl will make him/her dependent...imagine u hav a cranky bb, he/she in need of sleep, yet he/ she prefers to b rocked/ cradled to sleep...u can use a sling, but how long? U can use a stroller, but how long can u push? E concerns of refusing yl is tat some say may affect their brain/spine etc...but well, how many of us grow up using yl?...We all turn out fine, rite? My broz n i did...see this as ur bb's need...some bbs sleep effortlessly, some like to man ja long long...to me, itz not worth fighting over this issue...
Share w u another trivia, my mil does not like e idea of bb sleeping in e yl for e above reasons...i struggle to let her noe as my boi under my momz care for e time being...i really hope she understands...
YL is invented to help, not as a crutch for parents...oso we don 'yao' non stop, once bb sound asleep, we stop...moreover, e wrapping effect of e cloth gives security to e bb...personally im very practical...as long as this tool helps bb sleep well n e caregiver does not feel overwhelmed by e crankiness, im all for it...
Last but not least, i bought e electric YL to ease my mom's workload...hopefully i will make time to communicate to my mil n move e manual YL back to her place...
btw, my boi sleeps in his cot @ nite...he is oredi used to it frm 1st mth onwards...
Jus my 2 cents thots...
