sung, I usually use the gerber breast therapy pack to encourage let-down first. Only when I see droplets then I start to slowly squeeze my breast. I'll squeeze for about 35-40 mins for both breasts before using my freestyle for about 10 mins more. Will usually obtain 100+ml via manual expression, and aft pumping, will obtain around 200ml in total. For me, when I first hand-express, I can only squeeze 50ml in total. Then I realise that let-down is impt, if not, when you squeeze when you're not ready, it'll get quite painful. Also, when you press on lumps (if you have), also painful, but this helps to clear any blocked ducts. Have to push right from the breast (next to the armpit) towards your nipple. Only when you feel your breasts are soft, means you have quite emptied it and can use your pump to get more milk. In fact, aft pumping, I can usually squeeze some more milk as pump cannot clear breasts thoroughly.

alfafa, your description super hilarious, but when is the last time you latch your bb before mdm rokiah massaged you? heard from so many mummies that they can see the milk squirting ard, made me wonder if i should call mdm rokiah to try try?? i also realised my right breast can generate more milk than left side, funny thing is my left breast is bigger than right, how come the milk is lesser instead? my saviour is Kayla when i feel lumps on my breast, she is my BREAST FRIEND, hot compress and massages do not help, only her suckling helps, so you better nurse as frequent as possible...

missycandy, 1 day needs 2litres??? oh dear, i tink i drink less than that.. got to increase my water intake.. but does that help in MS?

my ML is ending soon too, next monday starting work, guess i will miss my princess Kayla vvvvvv much.. sighs, the tot of it makes me sad now, hope i wont cry during the 1st day upon returning to office..

Hi mummies! I'm back from Bali, had a wonderful trip w hubby (and yes Teddybaby, baby didn't go but the breast pump sure did kekee)

We just lazed on the beaches and on our last night, we enjoyed a romantic candlelight dinner with private beach bed overlooking the sea...over a 5 course dinner w huge seafood platter (yumz to the lobster :p)...after the dinner, we just climbed on the beach bed to watch shooting stars and chatted till late...

[*zip zap* the trip of course meant every 3-4 hour of swimming or sun tanning, we had to go back to the room to visit the "Pump Auntie"- gesh,and yes, that was quite a bummer and i threw 1litre+ BM per day *gesh*]

So, coming back..a few things to say...

missycandy, just wanna say thanks to you for letting me to tag on to your order of "tell me why" DVDs. Sigh...so bz at home that I dun have time to log on at all. elder one is giving me hell at home, maid also another one, and then little one is having more wakey hrs now and got to also spend time with him. When hb comes home from work also want my attention, how to split myself between so many of them?!!!!! Mummies who have 1 child, got to cherish the time u got with your bb, cuz when you have 2 or more, things would be so different liao. gtg, time to moo moo again.

smile - Mdm Rokiah is frm a postnatal massage company. cnt recall the company offhand but she doesnt do the post natal massages. her other staff do it. she specializes in this breast thingy. helping mums with blocked ducts. =) house visits. If im not wrong its $58/visit. heh.
 
fairymoss - no problem at all! it helped tt i was buying a few more. hahahaha! but even if not, sure cn de la. she wld wan the sales anyway. =P hee. dun stress urself! i dun have 2 kids yet so i dunno how u feel. hee. but some of the others do.. ppl like devil, sassybaby, irene, ida to name a few... maybe they cn advise u... =)

i also bringing brianne n hubby to the sleep talk.. since hubby is in town, make use of the help that he can give.. heheh..

I had wanted to plan a weekend getaway with the hubs too but then, realised that we can leave the baby behind but not the older one! He is at the stage where he is quite clingy to us and is terribly homesick if we leave him with my parents. Tried and tested during my delivery of #2. So, weekend getaway, if any is for a crowd of 3. No longer romantic escapade. ha. So, decided to pack everyone, inclusive of my parents and the baby, for a trip to Hong Kong instead. We are departing next week ;)

Baby Signs - not the one bluebel is talking about... has anyone read anything on baby sign language? I borrowed a book on it recently and it seems interesting. One of the forum mummies who lives in UK taught her baby a few signs by the time her was 5 or 6 months. I
I wish Baby A could sign POO, MILK and MORE to me

Jo, the book is not with me now, I'll post it later. There are quite a few out there though. The author of the book I am reading said her 2nd baby signed back at 5.5 months. It takes weeks and weeks of signing to the baby before they sign back though. I decided to try because otherwise, I run out of things to entertain her with he he
 
Gathering at Compass Point
Ladies, i not able to go for the gathering later. My elder son had not been feeling well so is my mum, so i have to stay at home.

#1 is down with slight fever, cough &amp; runny nose &amp; #2 is down with cough &amp; also need to monitor if he has fever after his 1st DPT jab yesterday.... =(

Haiz......he had been coughing for almost 1 week already. CC don't allow us to bring him there lor. Nowadays alot of people fall sick. My mum had been sick for almost 1.5 weeks too.
