hoho/lenny,
i try bfing n fming since confinement period...this is wat i noticed...
confinement ~ more EBM/less BF/1 - 2 feed of FM
2nd mth ~ More BF/less EBM/1 - 2 feed of FM
Result ~ when i hav e time/mood to do EBM, he refuses @ all costs...scream n yell as if i torture him...
FM ~ given 1-2 times a day before evening, nite its BF all e way...scared his tum tum cant digest cow's milk well n kena wind in his stomach...yeh...actually hav e miracle drug 'gastrogel' to relieve him...he will cry until no voice if ignored...
Conclusion...tink my pumps gonna b on vacation liao...tried twice n he gives me same result...! But like wat meerkat says, mayb they smell u n so, they refuse to drink frm teat lor...nothing beats warm/soft nipples yar...
NURSING ON E GO...yes, itz a liberated feeling but those w solid good ms...u r blessed. For those not, u need to feed a few times or even more frequently...frankly speaking, e switching left/right action is making my hands n joints ache...
Mdm Rokiah...she sounds like a miracle worker...i oso curious over if my ms is maximized...alfafa has a wonderful sense of humour...
Last but not least, on us who r bf n fm hand in hand, i tink as bb grows, he is more sensitive to the taste n sensation of teats/nipples...they noe e difference so don expect them to b like initial new born, blur blur n not selective...so guess we need to make a decision on whether to bf/ebm or fm...otherwise there will b lots of frustration for both caregivers...bbs.
In short...if u believe in breast milk, go BF/EBM all e way...dun intro FM.
If u need someone else to take care of bb, wean gradually n stick to FM...if we wan e best of both worlds...convenience + nutrients frm BF...it wont b so easy...bbs nowadays ultra smart...u jus cant fool them...
