am still feeling lousy so won;t be responding to most of the posts. sorry!

Yah I booked mine as well. I chose them more because of their style of photography. Like what Tusky said, they are more into natural pics, and don't generally like to use props. I like that. Personal preference really. Having said that I just realised that they have always have 2 photographers. Hart is the main guy, and he cost a bomb. No promos for him because as it is he is swamped with customers. Majority of the nice shots I like on their webby belong to him. Asri, who is the one we will get with the promo, also received good feedback but he ain't as masterful as hart. His photos are in the Studio Pictures section as well as in the "Asri's work" within the children scetion. Tomato Photo told me that the Asri work segment is in fact very outdated. Anyway, The liaison person told me frankly that they won't have put Asri out if they are not confident of his talent. They are however, candid enough to say that Hart though, is really the main guy, and his rates are heftier.
Was a tad disappointed when I found out. Am not overly impressed with Asri's work, but to be fair his shots seem alright.
Then comes the value part. If the pics are on par, then this tomato promotion surely outshines the rest when it comes to value.

I read up on mastitis and apparently the best counter is to nurse nurse and nurse. So that's what I am doing lor. In fact I did that today without realising it was mastitis, simply becos I don;t have energy to play with baby. Just want her to keep quiet

bb ziv just gave me the best present of all today, he slept thru the night for more than 5 hrs.. so shiok for the very first time n he is 2.5 mths now.. heee...

yes itz definitely matitis, u really gotta be hardworking to massage n pumping as u does one breast per feed n it is not very good if u dun pump out after the feeding on the other side.. few days ago i got very very bad blocked duct.. got one "eye" on the nipple closed n i was in pain for hrs while trying to massage n using hot compress with diaper.. i nursed a few times but no use.. till the end i really thought of going down directly to parentcraft or kk to open the "eye" but after one last try on nursing bb ziv, he open for me and i was like "phew".. wa the pain is no joke.. coz no matter which position i m in, itz really painful...

Hazel - take care babe! many of us kena blocked ducts that led us to fevers *mummies are the greatest* hehe..haiz...usually for me, i be out of bb action for a few days, coz i dont let bb latch on these days. so i just simply rest, get my mum to help out or if need be, or get hubby. i simply cannot carry her due to achy arms, sensitivity ard the breast area.
usually after 3 dosages of paracetamol, i'll sweat it out all. i will be well again, and blocked ducts should dissolve by itself in 1-2 days time..you
will know it... i do hate it when i kena fever in the evenings, thats when its tougher to get rid of.
if still not well, you can look for Mdm Rokiah or the lactation consultant. Mdm Rokiah is $58 and lactation consultant at tmc is around $42.50 for an hour, whereby the nurses will help to unblock the ducts by massaging, and they will use the Medela PIS to pump out the remaining milk, and you can bring the EBM home, just remember to bring your own milk bottle. it actually cost me $2.80 thereabouts for a small bottle...
pepper - how to see if 1 eye is closed, you mean you noticed that there is an open duct at the specific area that oozes milk everytime you pump?
for self therapy - sometimes i will lie down and do massage the breasts and collect them in tissue paper/towel...somehow lying down works much more efficiently..not sure if you noticed, the affected area produces 'yellowish' milk? i always try to psycho myself to massage and push out the yellow milk even more to get better...wonder if mummies out there experience the same thing??
last question: whats the difference between blocked ducts and mastitis? mastitis is just more serious and may have abscess right?

Wld suggest u see a GP to get antibiotics to clear it cos mastitis is due to block ducts + bacteria infection. Mastitis is quite aggressive, diff from the usual blk duct. I had the pain at the side of my boobs and it was slightly red too. Used the glass bottle I got from hospital and put hot water in, cap it and use it as hot compress. Warmess can last longer like this too. Yes, nurse/pump as often as possible and rest much. Hope u get well soon! Its a nasty episode for me too

at first i oso dunnoe is a "closed" eye on the nipple which obstruct the milk from coming out, tatz y no matter how much i massage n doing hot compress the milk just wouldnt come out.. there will be a white spot on the nipple lor.. something like expanded white skin pore... i heard tat some people actually uses sterilise needle to poke open the white pore.. eee.. i dun dare so just let my son suckle to see if suction can open bo.. think maybe by the third time he is like a bit fustrated n while pulling n jagging off the nipple he accidentally open the "eye" n the milk came squirting out onto his face.. hahahaha...
by the way i always got flu sypmtom but no fever at all especially these few days my boy doesnt seem willing to drink much n i need to pump out the excess.. i seriously dunnoe y he doesnt seem interested in drinking milk le.feed him ebm he also dun wan, let him latch on i can feel he only drink abit nia.. but his diapers still soiled n wetted most of the time le.. so i assume he got his fill just tat maybe i overproduced issit coz after he finish latching i try pump out i still can get about 80ml from the breast he latch on earlier on one le.. stress le.. -.-"

i got a simple changing table from Ikea and paid &55 bucks for it. Brianne like it a lot.. her room will be quite small so i dun want to cluter her room especially she got eczema and sensitive to dust.
now we are sourcing for a air purifier for her.

I bought the angel wipes when shopping for my #1 long time ago. It was also on promotion at a motherhood fair so it was very cheap. I remember it was quite ok, no complains about the quality of the wipes per se, but our only grouse is that the wipes do not come off one piece at a time. Meaning when we pull it out of the packaging, it either come off a few pieces at one time, or it is hard to get the next piece cos it doesn't get dragged out to the surface for easy pulling. Erhm, don't know if you know what I mean
