Morning ladies, hope you all have a good weekend.
My weekend is basically just sleeping. Feeling very tired as usual.

That time when i had spotting, my gynae had gave me 3 days straight MC all the way from wed to fri, but me paisey to take so continue to go work.
 
i also went to the taka fair on sat, it was massive. just browsed around but didn't buy anything yet. i think to early la and no space at home. i have my parents and brother staying with me till their apartment T.O.P end 2009. still scratching my head to think where to fit my baby cot and all my bb's stuff.

Your bb is growing well.. i went for my scan when i am 6 wks 2 days and my bb is 5.5mm. hope its alright.

i ordered a few maternity wear from Old Navy and Motherhood USA via Vpost to try out the sizes first. if ok then i'll order more.

Did u gals try downloading your own pregnancy calendar tracking each day of bb's growth?

The only thing I did is cancel my shopping trip. HB say stay home rest so I did. Best is rest when see spotting. Lie down might help also.

Hope u find it useful.
Breast pump can rent from hospital or if frd/relatives/colleagues can borrow even better. Don't invest in a too expensive pump unless u intend to BF for a year or more. If u r blessed with gd supply, an electric dual pump will serve u gd. Otherwise, some mummy prefer manual pump like the Avent or the Avent ISIS UNO.

i still work as usual but maybe try to minimize walking. Deskbound job is still okay if need to move about, gynae will advise to rest at home.
 
morning gals.. i was sooo tired this morning that I decided to take mc for today.. i wonder if my boss will b angry as I took 3 days mc in a row less than one month ago... I have decided to inform him of my preggie news tomolo. hopefully i will not get any discrimination from them..
 
Kome, you place orders on your own or joint spree with others? I may need some leggings.. I just join a spree from old navy last night. my pants are getting tight and need new ones
 
Kome, har.. just tell him that i jus found out that I m preggie.. and say i had some spotting (though few dots nia), and may have some "complications".. hopefully this will gain some sympathy from him.. my coy not very pro family one, thought i have 3 other gals in my dept are preggie.. I think he will sure faint if he learnt abt my preggie news. .

anyway next wk is wk 12 for me already, so should be safe to tell boss now.

How's ur hol? Me wasted my holiday feeling sick due to morning sickness. I think I'm those unlucky ones, who have Morning sicknes the WHOLE day! Esp in the evening and at night, I have problems sleeping at night.

fairymoss....as for the spotting...coz i had the experience...i was worried and went to te gynea asap..she advised me to be in " complete rest in bed" and raise the legs up( place a pillow under your feet)...minimise movements can help.

try to munch on some biscuits and gingerale does help for the MS..but if no appetite my galfren advise that eat some dries mangoes can help...has vit C.

i was at WOMEN's SECRET and happened to come across some wireless bras and also maternal underwear..they are seemless and felt comfy..as well as LA SENZA unltra soft underwear(lot cut) 5 for $40...very smooth and soft can stretch as well as cotton...good for growning tum tum..

I place orders on my own, i like their designs very much so quickly check with that person as how to go about it ordering. Take quite a long time till now still waiting for their reply as how to make the payment.

I got spotting almost daily, but of course didn't continuously bleed, it's on/off in a day but happened almost daily since last wed. Doc asked me to stay home still and I got review with him this wed. But my job is similar to teaching, got to stand whole day, travels to "classrooms" for classes and seldom get to sit down, wonder if I can go back to work if it persists. But I'm afraid boss would not be happy cuz I got projects on hand and they are delayed due to my absence. Sigh...so difficult being a working mum.

Re: undergarments

I used to buy maternity undies from Triumph and they are very comfy and stretchable, can last me thru the whole pregnancy. As for bras, I bought from Thyme, not wired but of course not as nice as regular bras lah. well, I think comfy is more impt now, so who cares abt not nice? heehee.
 
Kome, i c.. ya.. taiwan spree usually take long time.. let me know how u find the material when it arrives... i hope to order a few also..

i had the daily spooting at one time too..and everytime when i start to walk alitle more..t'll show...so i was almosyt bed bound for awhile.and it did stiop. went to the gynea had jabs in 3 visits and duphaston...
my advise..yes job is a responsibilty and career and pride..but the growing baby is a lifetime with you. now you safe guard her safety...and the rest you can be rest assure..i belive if you explain to your boss about your situation...he/she will have to respect you and your baby inside..

Thanks dear! I'm going back to see gynae this Wed. I think I would get a few more days of MCs from him if he decides that I should go back to work. I hope there won't be discrimination in the office.

MTBs having #2, how do you break the news to your #1 that you are preggy and how does #1 react to it? My #1 recently gets v notti and before I even know that I'm preggy, he started to refuse school work, and the prinicipal asked if I'm pregnant, and who knows few days later I'm tested positive. Prinicipal said that it's common that the elder would show some degree of unhappiness and it's impt that we start to prep them for the arrival of the little sibling. I'm beginning to see some acceptance and a changed behaviour since I'm home to take care of my elder for this past week. Probably by spending more time with him, he feels more loved and less fearful that his sibling is fighting with him for Mummy's attention?

I am going thru exactly what you are feeling now. Last friday, went for 2nd appt with gynae and managed to catch bb heart beat but he told me it is quite slow around 80. Normal should be 120-140. Told me that I am in week 6 day 1 based on the size.
Yesterday, while I was passing motion, saw fresh blood when I wipe with the tissue. Got a fright. Subsequently, visited the toilet and everytime I urine, I see fresh blood on tissue. Got really worried, called my gynae and told me to come see him today.

Went for a scan today and gynae said the bb heart beat is very faint now and likely may stop soon. Which may be why I am still bleeding. Told me to be prepared for the worst that bb will not survive. He said no need for any blood tests as will be waste of money. Just told me come back to scan again this Thur/fri and see if bb heart beat stopped ...then decide to wash out or not.

Feel so sad... one moment can see bb heart beat, now going to stop. Don't know what went wrong.....

Only can pray... gynae said no need for any hormones medicine as if bb is unhealthy, then no amount of medicine can help..
 
I have been wanting to have a 2nd child for a long time since last year wanted to have another companion for my gal. Have been putting it off for 1 year as my hubby was going thru change of jobs and retrenchment ... only until this year, that we agreed to try. TTC for 6 mths and so hard then have good news of pregnancy.. now chances of miscarrage is very high...
Plus going to be 35 soon... age catching up.

Think I will be out of this thread soon..

i bring my #1 to all my gynae visits (since my hsbd can't come along anyway). the first time she cried and cried at every test, blood pressure, height/weight, u/s etc. then the 2nd time she's ok. i point to the u/s n let her know it's the bb and she's very excited to hear the heartbeat. so now when we ask her where's bb, she points to my tummy, and what does baby say, she replies "bim bom bim bom"

Hb and I agreed we will try again... at least he and my gal is here with me today to see the gynae otherwise, I would have to broke down and cry in my gynae's place if I have to hear the news myself...
Now...have to break news to my mom and dad..

Like to know what to expect from a wash out.. if anyone knows...please advise so I can be mentally prepared. Think I will break down and cry again on the actual day of wash out...

I'm kinda preparing my #2 by telling her that there's a baby inside me. ask her to sayang and kiss my tummy, as if kissing and sayang the baby.
My #1 is prepared for this since this is not the first time she went through this.

my next appointment is only 23 Aug. My MS is also 24/7. peaking at mealtimes.
Yesterday I broke my record of not vomiting!
Can't control and puke all my dinner out! very yukee...
i think my MS nightmare has just started...

in my #1, i puke from wk 9 to wk 14. but this time it starts earlier at wk 7.
when i stop Duphaston the last time, i still continue to vomit.

you gotto be strong. if baby is unhealthy, better to know earlier than later.
for my past M/C, my bb's HB was also weak at wk 8 and the sac wasn't round, like kidney or banana shape.
then at my wk 11 checkup, i was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage cos bb had stopped surviving in my womb but I had absolutely NO symptoms at all! imagine the shock of my life then...
but i've moved on since then and continue to have a healthy pregnancy.
 
ddtan, for the wash off, it's a simple procedure. I've been through this last year. Scan showed that bb had no heartbeat.
Basically, you need to admit to the hospital for day surgery. Then the nurse will ask you to change into the hospital clothing, then you just lie down there and wait for your turn. When the time arrived, the nurse will wheel you to the surgery room. Then your gynae will administer the anesthetic and you will fall asleep. By the time you wake up, you will be at the day surgery room, and after a while, you can go home already.

I only experience terrible nausea up to now... now only wk 7 so still early to say i would escape actual puking. My next appt on 19 Aug, would be 8 wk+ then. Gynae says that after the appt on 19 Aug, would only see her 4 wks later. U think i should ask for another visit inbetween so as to get to see bb and more "an xin"?

Think mine is a threatened miscarrage due to the bleeding from my vaginal. Even now, I feel like I am having my period now... the blood flow getting heavier ... kind of come to terms with it. Last night, got nightmares thinking of what I have done wrong ... why so sudden will have bleeding. BB still doing ok few days ago and all the symptons still there past few days.

After wash out, do you feel tired ... can go to work after few days ? Gynae told me to take 2 weeks MC after that... think my boss and collegues will know by then and ask. Did you do mini confinement ? Is it better for recovery?

u know for my #1, i was happy i didn't puke by wk 8 and who knows, the next day onwards i started to puke all the way to wk 14! MS peaks betw wk 8 to wk 12.

Sac is not equal to yolk sac.
Sac is the water bag that contains bb and yolk sac is a smaller one (less than 6mm) next to bb to provide bb with the initial food.

i would be surprised if your Gynae didn't ask you to have OSCAR test. it is done between wk 11 to wk 14.
i had mine done at TMC the last time. cost me $350++.
i will still opt for OSCAR over Triple Blood Test this time round as it is more accurate.

If you want to be more an xin and don't mind paying abit, i think its ok to arrange for another appt at wk 10 or 11.

Mine was natural washed out, no D/C needed. The washing out on it's own is like mini contractions. I rested for 2 weeks, did mini confinement during the 2 weeks. Drank Red Date Drink, eat confinement food etc. stayed at home most of the times. you must nurse back your health and maybe within the year you will have good news again!!! I managed to conceive again within 7 months. So Take Good Care of Yourself k...

my gynae have already briefed me about OSCAR test. She say it is not compulsory based on my age but ask me to discuss with my hb on whether we want to test. We have decided to test.

think gynae recommend to do D/C for me. Did you take medication to induce natural wash out ?
Is it better to wait for a few cycles before trying to conceive again or can try after 1st/2nd period ?

Thanks.. i would probably ask gynae to give me another appt at wk 10... cant see bump got no idea how things are going for the little fella.
