mangogal, yes starting work next monday. Time really flies. Wonder if I will be able to adjust cos have not work for a while haha. Ya it is really exciting to see baby moving on to another milestone.

bluebell, ya now have to be more careful when baby can flip. That day put her in the cot and when I came back to look at her after a while, she has changed position.

Devil, ah I see. Ai. Now my mil also nagging me quickly convert to Fm. This wk I just started converting one feed to Fm answer the next day she can ask me is it from now on all drink Fm? drink Fm better la, can gauge how much she take, grow fatter faster etc. Hear liao make me sick man! so Sian! anyway Tbf also will strike ah so u better be cautious. Heh.

Went to shop at Tangs in Orchard and Vivo. Sad to say, i need a new wardrobe of clothes, need M size clothes w L size bust area *major sigh*...really tough to find...gone are the times where i use to be able to squeeze in S size and the occasional XS....

As for baby's milk intake, more or less doesn't really matter i think coz sometimes it's the quality for that day, e.g. more creamy or more dilute...not sure if its true, but some say drinking too much water will dilute the milk.....dont understand the logic...
 
kome - ur anver drinks only 90mls or less but so big size leh! its more than enough ba!

starflower - im keen but i went to the web and saw that they had 1 wrkshop in apr and costs $100 per person... a bit heartpain... =( see what price she charge.. put me in the KIV list okie? thanks for organising *muacks*

my ms now super low ...so low that my bb refuse to latch on as not much milk. when i pump out..only have max 30ml from both breast....so sad. all my bfing equipments wasted and most of them are still new and unopened!

I didn't really get time to pump at all while I was latching! That was the problem. I combi-fed him - at night gave formula so that he will really last longer and I can get some rest. Keron&amp;jeris is right in that the time spent to pump regularly + wash pumping equipment is nothing compared to the time spent on latching, not to mention the energy! My supply now still not really meeting his demand but I pump to get a head start so that when his feeding time comes I have enough ebm in the fridge to bottlefeed him. I got no qualms supplementing with formula just so that I can continue to stay ahead.
 
Hi Kat, i started off with 3 bottles in my fridge, my gal drank 50ml and i can only pump 50ml, so i increase my fluid intake and pump frequently so as to match her daily intake with my milk supply. Some mummies will top up wif FM, but i didn't. in fact i m worried that i cant keep up her demand. what i do is i pump regularly and latch her only at night, luckily the MS went up and i got to save more in the fridge. one good thing for latching at night is we are in sleeping position, so no backache and no need to pump and sterilise. Are you working? if yes, then got to start early...

THanks! Hmmm. Now my girl drinks about 100-120ml and last around 1-1.5 hours. I can only managed to pump 40-60ml from both breasts each time.So can't keep up.. Sob. I was really hoping to tbf for at least 6 months.

Keron, I'll try your method. Thanks for the advice and for sharing your experience!

oh yes. when my mil bottle feed ebm to my girl, my girl will refuse when i'm around. any way to solve this problem? if not, won't be able to feed ebm to her myself next time when i have managed to store enough supply.
 
Hi mummies,

Im from Jan thread. Just wondering if any mummies here is interested to get ice-cube tray with lids (from JAPAN) for freezing cooked baby food.

For me, I find it easier to use the ice-cube tray with lid (It's definitely much more hygienic with a lid!), as compared to baby cubes. Because when baby start weaning, they dont eat alot, only small amounts, and the ice-cube size is just right I find. U can freeze small amount in the baby cubes too but I read a few books that recommend ice-cube tray to baby cubes cause it's not that good leaving a lot of air space in the cube which will encourage bacteria growth. Also i find it much easier to just twist and pop out the amount of frozen cubes that I need to prepare for my baby's feed and just keep back the rest in the freezer.

Im nothing against baby cubes. I actually bought 1 set myself but will only use it when my baby's appetite is huge enough, which I think is about 1yr old.

The reason i would like to share with mummies here is becoz I want get this very good quality ice-cube tray with lid, which is made in Japan. It's material is safe and good such that you can sterilise it, which I think some mummies will like it. It cost just $6.50 per tray but I need to gather enough orders to attain 100pcs for this price. My cousin will help bring in to S'pore direct from Japan so that I can avoid the shipping charges etc. hehe.

Im not selling anything here, hope you dont get me wrong. Just looking for mummies who would like to share order with me.

So If any mummies here would like to share this order with me, please PM me soon cause my cousin is flying in next week.

may i do a survey...for mummies giving FM at night, do babies really sleep longer? my hubby is persuading me to give FM at night so he can sleep longer but i'm uncertain...what am i going to do with the BM then?

i think depends on company policy. my ML includes sat, sun n PH if takn 16 weeks at a go. if split, then they count the working days. i din bother to split cos only 1 PH during the 2nd set of weeks, dont want to look so niao. heh
 
starflower, i've tried feeding zac fm at night cos lazy to warm up the ebm... Also thot he will sleep longer with fm, but i was wrong, he still wakes up 3hrsly.

Going back to wiork next tues, time flies. Zac will be taking his 5in1 next monday. Hopefully no fever. I also managed to do without night pumping. Last pump at 11plus n next one at 6plus... Phew... If not when going back to work will be darm tiring...

Im interested in your valves only that you are selling, is it brand new? The membranes I have a pkt already. If you can sell the valves to me alone do let me know how much you are letting go.

Yeah the virus is call roseola. My boy rashes have start to disappear, still got some on his back. So the PD did tell you that the rashes is normal after the fever lah. My PD didnt lor. We are thinking of changing PD.

Lenny, i dun give water..Am doing TBF and looking at the no. of wet diapers and his moist lips, i believe he is well hydrated. Furthermore, he latch almost every 1.5 to 2hrs or max 3 hr..so shldn't be thirsty...

Returning back to work:
I feel tt time really zoom past us.. I was looking at my boy that day n I find tt he's really grown so much bigger. Sniffs Sniffs.. just like how missycandy felt that day.
I think I may cry on the first day of work.

It's always a rush in the morning trying to settle everything as I'm sending my boy to the babysitter. I also keep thinking about my boy at work and once knock off, just want to rush back &amp; pick him up. As my boy sleeps quite early, I only have abt 1 hr to play with him before putting him to sleep.

Last nite was a miracle again, he slept at 8.30pm and woke up at 7am this morning. I also went to bed once he slept cause was quite tired after a day at work.

Being a full-time working mum is really not easy.

FN at night - no mine doesn't last longer compared to bm. When he was newborn he probably lasted slightly longer, but now that sleep habits established as he is older don't think it made much of a difference. The only way to be able to tell with your own bb is to try it and see.

Mummies that had already give baby 6in1 jab. Can check if it will cause baby any fever? I going to bring Anver for 3rd Hep 3 jab but thinking to give 6in1 jab instead.

For ur BM, u can keep it for next day feed or freeze it up for future use.

Lenny, yes I do give water when I Tbf, first thing in the morning when she wakes up, cause I believe that's the time when she is most thirsty. Heh.

Starflower, I think its worth a try. If try once or twice n doesn't work at least your hubby be convinced. If it works, good for u! And different bb work differently. My #1 had to wake up for night feeds at least 2x till he was 8mths I think. But Trishelle is different, she can zzz 6 to 8 hrs. for Trishelle previously she was on Tbf and now her day feeds are all Fm. I believe in feeding full full in the day so night don't have to get up to eat. So u can trial n error.

The GP I went to mention maybe it's better to give 5 in 1 when bb is 3 mths old so that they can cope better with fever..sigh why i donno this?!!?

I also do my last pump ard 11+ and the next pump usually abt 6 or 7 or i wait till it leaks then i wake up to pump :p too lazy

*high 5 back* Wahaha...I also pass to my mum when i cannot complete too. My son chose person to feed him so usually my mum cannot tahan his cries, she will feed Anver herself during daytime and very funny lor, Anver will finish up all his milk. :p

I tink my bb cant take fm for e moment cos e wind in his stomach still there...i don like e friso soy formula but if no choice will take minimally...i do give him water to drink for gripe water or whenever he shows tat he is thirsty but not feeding time yet...
I oso desire to i increase ms so will take this 2 mths ml to nourish him...hopefully by then he can take fm n not cry pain pain...my parents remind me child raising not easy...i then understand wat they mean liao...

My girl drinks about 100ml to 120ml, now about 10 weeks old. Can last for 3 hours. If I BF, she can last 4 hours.. She dun drink milk in the middle of the milk, woke up for some water then sleep again...

thanks for organising! Keep me posted. Like MissCandy, i'm concerned about costs esp when I'm not sure how committed I am to teaching her signs. Saw from their website that it cost $100 for single session (parent only) or $240 for 6 sessions(parent n baby). On the steep side for me.

How are your ms??? Same as when pumped at home or reduced? For me, breasts are like never full altho its 6hrs interval....sigh...think need to start on the fenugreek again!

Ryan took him DTP jab last tue and he had very mild fever (<38deg)..so just gave him a dose of Paximol (similar to paracetamol)
 
btw, is it just me who experience this or is the forum processing speed painfully slow these days? takes forever to post one message
