my boy has been puking his milk like one hr after feed since ydae morning. but hor.. he not sick leh.. still his usual self, playful n jumping ard.. HOW!? wat's happening? need to cheong to PD or nt.. sian.. must b v mah fan to go hospital now with more flu cases

Today on urgent CCL..Zach suddenly had fever middle of the nite so this morning brought him to the PD.. slight phlegm and runny nose too.

Tat little baby of mine woke up at 2am and talk to me (presumely) until 4plus!!! Luckily he dun need me to carry him n pat him back to sleep.. i juz latch him at 4am..then let him continue talking till he fall asleep ard 5plus..haha..

Speaking of sleep, onie my hb needs min 8hrs of sleep.. for me, I always can do with 4hrs of sleep. Been like tat since schooling time. My nap of 30minutes can last me one whole day..hahaha. Weird..

it's me, i'm using motillium. been using it for the last 1-2 months. find that it does help with my milk supply. you can PM me for more details.
 
iemiko...when i start working will pass Jordan to nanny living upstairs lor....still thinking whether or not to pass him to nanny or IFC.. who takes care of ur boys? IFC at least can use CDA to pay but nanny cannot..but with nanny he gets more personal attention than in IFC, though much more expensive...

Echo...can i also PM u on the motillium? Need to increase my milk ss if not i gotta give up BF-ing liao..

my aunt n sis take turns to look afta kayson n jayzon is in childcare. there r pros n cons wif nanny or ifc. so u gotta weigh d pros n cons n c how.
 
yea....the job offer came sort of last min so for the time being i put him with nanny first...then from 2nd month see how...if he is comfortable with nanny then regardless of how expensive i tink hubby would also prefer to send him there..

Will really weigh carefully...
 
Hello mummies! Long time no post...today on leave, so can stay at home with David *YAY*

David suddenly don't want to drink milk again. Dunno what's wrong. Yesterday only drank about 200ml of EBM altogether. And he dun wan brown rice cereal. Any mummies got same experience?

I got desperate, so I grind rice into powder and cooked porridge for him. He took a nice big cup (I think about 50ml)! After that, took a quarter of a banana. Think he self-weaning. Siao liao... like that must introduce different food faster, or not enough nutrients.

dee, the last time my milk supply dipped (I thought period coming), fenugreek worked a little for me leh. My mum said I lack of tonic, so she made the chicken ginseng soup for me. After that, my milk supply bounced back...

jowin.. my nini oso keeps waking up crying loudly and can't stop until i gave her milk for the past 3 nites... was oso tinking if she might be teething....me oso become zombie after giving birth to my ger loh... oso need at least 8-10hrs of sleep but now can reach 6-7hrs very happy liao...somemore my ger is not the latching one, got to mix milk, feed her & pump in the middle of the nite...
i am gg to stop BF soon, kudos to those mommies that persist!!!my sis oso say its best to BF till a year old, but mine is not latching one leh...i think i express for 6mos already done my duty as a mom liao...

jes, yea i totally agree wif u..being a SAHM is really boring...there is no where else to run to when i know that jordan is only throwing his tantrums n does not really need me..not to mention the endless chores...

bur, sama sama here..jordan doesn't latch so i hv been pumping these 6 months too....i did think of giving up BF-ing esp my ss dropped so drastically since ytd...

go during weekday as weekend is quite crowded.

how many times are u pumping. try to stretch the timing so no need to pump at night lah. me total bf. i pump 4 or 5 times a day. last pump & feed at 11.30 pm. next pump & feed at 6 am. but still not enough sleep but boh pian have to work. then sat & sun will go back to sleep till 8+.
 
Me too thinking of stopping many times but each time after i say tat i will feel guilty for having that thoughts.. my supply oso dropped cos i had fever yesterday due to blocked ducts.. now still blocked, so can onie keep massaging and asking Zach to unclog it..hehe. Now i m pumping 3x a day.. 12.30pm, 6pm and 11pm. The pumping time is abit irregular

PD gave me a tin of Enfapro to try when Zach turns 6mths.. mabbe i will give him onie when he is 7mths..

I dun think Ashlynne is hungry cos i just fed her at 11pm lor. I thought maybe is the teething problem more.

Me now is 90% express, seldom latch her on already.. somemore now she got a tooth, i scare she bite me n breast become infection.

Expressing is really tough than latching lor.. need to wash pump, wake up to pump n sit straight... tiring... zombie walking around daily..I just try to feed her until the ss dry up.. Max to 1 yr.

Yes, like wat winnie said, stretch the hours?
I am pumping 3 times now.. 6am ( before going work) then 2pm ( after lunch at least i can go lunch with my colleagues) & 10pm ( before zzzz)

Seriously, BF is very tough n NO shortcuts.. My SIL told me " Aiya, the shop assistant says buy the funnel tat have massage function & no need to massage, the duct will clear by its own".... HAHA.. i told her, there are no such things..Wait till she BF then she will know.

don't worry about biting. babies will figure it out on their own. cos when they bite, milk won't come out (like when you bite a straw). they just have to figure out how to change their latch to take into account the new tooth.

I use the soft funnel from Medela, supposed to help massage. I don't know if it prevents lumps, but it definitely helps me in my letdown, and I get better output with it.

maybe you are getting lumps because of your infrequent pumping? should try to pump every 3 hours, to mimic the number of times that zach will latch.
 
haha echo, how to pump 3hrs at work?? I dun hv flexi hour like ur job leh.. i can go off for 30minutes - 1hr is consider lucky alr.. i got lumps because 2 days ago, i onie manage to pump 8minutes instead of the usual 15minutes and i din clear my breast

Jo & Kath, at least u pump 3times per day is sufficient for yr bb's one day feed. Very not bad liao! I need 2 or more pumps to make 1feed.

thanks... probably will try to bring my boy to both places & see how... my elder one has been coughing on & off since the day he entered nursery, and it's been 6 mths le... sianz! he's been taking A LOT OF western medicine & the inhaler also dunno used up how many liao but still not much improvement... now got phlegm even worse coz sometimes he will cough until vommit one ler... think it's time for me to bring him to see TCM liao... hope can see improvement...

btw, can i call & make appt or i must walk in?

before you go, give them a call and ask if Dr. Ang Liang's around.. coz when he's out, his daughter will be the one seeing patient.. at the same time can check if there's many ppl waiting else when u reach, you mite have to wait even longer..

eh, for all you who think SAHM is boring .. no la, it's not. Since you gals only have this first child, then still can go out for lunch/tea/shopping. Can either drag your baby along or leave with your parents ...

We're not like the housewives of long ago .. stay at home all the time. Bored, go out la .. even take train can still make it to town ... walk around with baby, window shop ... have lunch somewhere .. alone with baby also feel shiok rather than cooped up at home.

i am pumpin 8hrly liao...3 times a day...1am, 9am & 5pm...

christine, my supply not enough oso...but nini takes twice FM per day, one time in IFC & one time in the middle of the nite... so still enough... my one pump now is about 190-220ml, once per day, i'll let her drink one pak of frozen EBM so that i can have supply to freeze some new ones...
