I don't think that hindmilk comes out only towards the end of the feeding... when I do pump, I notice that the colour of my milk changes midway through the first let down to a more creamy colour. I'm assuming the creamy coloured milk is hindmilk. I'm not sure if this is true for everyone.
when the milk is refrigerated, there is a layer of fat, followed by creamy milk about 85% then thinner milk at the bottom.
I always have more hindmilk, except for the first morning feed wh is more watery cos my breasts are full

Hearing what u say, i better give strict instructions to my infantcare to change BB's diapers often...
I think i better come up with a list of instructions (black & white)..so far i keep giving so many instructions (on how to warm his milk / how to let him sleep/ etc..). But i scared they (the ppl at infantcare) later hear hear, then few wks later forget...

Today's bb's 5th day at Infant care..He's adapting much better now...definately better than 1st 2 days where he experiences seperation anxiety.. Tom's going back to work..time really flies so fast! Really miss my boy..Luckily thing I'm still able to visit my boy everyday at lunch time to latch on..
Hair Loss
anyone experiencing tremendous hairloss?? I've started realising i'm really losing a lot alot alot of hair since last 2 wks...I.e 3rd mth after delivery...I mean, i'm having long hair & a bit of hairloss still okie, but these days my hair loss is tremendous! everytime i run my hands thur my hair, i get bunches of hair dropping...Esp worried when sometimes in morning when i wakeup, i see strands of my hair in bb's cot (must hv fallen when i look in at bb at nite)..cant imagine if he puts the hair in his mouth..he's now at the stage where he likes to put his hands into his mth...

Hope bryan recovers soon. Quite shocked cos read that oni bb gers get UTI more easily since the urinary passage is shorter than the male counterpart. It's quite scary since UTI is related to kidney functions. My doc nearly sent me for kidney test when I had frequent UTI episodes...
Forgot to add, did Bryan pee pee enough? I noe if i dun drink enuf water I will get UTI...

normally i put my pump sheild in a box.
Than my pump is like that de, i put a mini torch light so i can see my breast is it clear. i put my handsfree, my socket my tub everything in the black box.
If im lazy i will put it in my LV Bag which i feel not very mafan when i bring 2 bags. the blue color plastic bag is my bottles. Of cus its heavy lar everything but i think i still got more hands at least. But seriously carry a smaller hang bag with the pump is better. but u got no hand lor if you carry others. cus pump is quite heavy liao.
But it depends on my wearing lor. sometimes i will bring my LV bag if not i will bring a normal bag and another PINK bag inside all my pump and my cooler bag. Like today i bring my LV bag. i go home with my hub not fetching me. i will change it to 2bags. so at least later MRT no seat i can put my pump on the floor! hehehe
Of cus going home my 2 bottles will be in the cooler bag le. Hehe

gals.. i see.. meaning from here. i have more foremilk than hindmilk cos mine is actually more whitish & watery.. 15% of creamy on top of the bottle after refrigerated.
But i also eat fish daily leh... I think its ok la.. my ger still chubby chubby n often 3-4hrs then cry for milk... As long as PD said,ok then ok...

PD say he got sensitive nose tat's y he tends to breathe loud n take deep breathe. She prescibed zyrtec to him as well

Kath: 6.1kg is under weight? how frequent and how much Zach drinking now? recently i notice Louis also cannot finish his milk alreadu.
Louis is 6kg in his 2nd month. this thursday will visit PD for vacination. will checkout the weight again. Louis has sensitive nose and skin too!!!

momlouis, yeah..cos Zach will turn 4 months next week. According to her chart, bb at that age is ard 7kg.. so zach is below average. However she say since zach is happy and alert and growing well dun hv to worry. Oso dun hv to feed him purposely wif FM to pump up the weight. BM is still the best
snowger, urs is the US version from first few yrs? it's slightly different frm those thats u buy elsewhe in S'pore, my mngr oso bought hers frm FFY, we compare & realise its different.
Fabbie, wah.. u use LV bag to put ur pump... not worry the weight will spolit the bag? me no LV bag, was thinking to put it in a recycling bag but scare the material won't be able to take the weight of the bag...think i go borrow my sis messenger sling bag...

mimi, i oso dunno how much weight shuld a baby gain in a mth.. in UK n US they hv a chart on how much bb will weigh if they are on BM but in SG onie one single chart which is more applicable for bb on FM.
PD say Zach's weight was low to begin with so is naturally he is leaner (note that she din say he is thin)..haha

Recently no time to go count and give to Aris n Juz. I have invaded my MIL's freezer and there isn't much space for my packets of frozen milk - I staying there now.
Ya to be safe, best get clearance fr PD lor. So excited, can't wait for my ger ger to be close to 4months to see what's her weight...

PD say he is below avg base on the chart found in the health booklet. No need to measure height one leh.. but is ok lar since PD say nothing to worry abt. I oso since young is underweight and hb oso tall n thin..so mabbe he will be like us bah..

i have the same problem as mayelynn, i think my boy recently try to learn how to flip over. he always end up with the yoga pose. the head is turn on the top, during the night, he always eagerly practise it, and suffer when the head on top, then he will cry for help. ;( we been wake up many times to help him adjust his pose. when we put him sleep on his tummy, his head will look up and see here and there.

My inlaws say my boy has flipped few times ydae n todae, but at nite when I was there to play with him, he refuse to flip leh.. so sad, missed out.. guess there will be other 'first' that I m gonna miss. Sob..

i just kenna a huge lump underneath my right breast again..
i quickly Latch my girl.. 20mins.. still no solve.. then i look at my nipple n there seem a milk blister.. i pricked it.. the milk spray out.. quickly latch my girl again... thankfully.. its 80% clear.. Initially, i see n see, dun even see the blister lor....SIANz

i asked pd about this sleeping pattern. he said just let hte baby do watever he wants!
sigh so i just let him be otherwise if i keep interupting his sleep, bb will get v frustrated and keep turning back. he dont sleep i also cant get to sleep.
just spent 1 hour putting him to bed! exhausted manz, gg to sleep liao. wooh~! so tiring to put him to bed.

Mimi - really admire babies who can stretch feed to 4hr. mine drinks 150ml every 2.5hr in day time... of coz we r trying to drag to 3hr. Teacher at infant care weigh him on Mon and he is 7.8kg at 3mths 10days. i have lower back ache from carrying him w bjorn everyday.
Snowger - sounds like u have lots of bag of BM.
Mommy Louis/mayelynn - my boy also have the sleeping pose nowadays. i scare his spine doesn't grow properly. his butt usually face up, but shoulder is sideways and head is slanted at an angle.

Juz, mabbe u can increase his milk intake to 180ml n see if he can stretch to 3hrs? Abit ambitious to stretch him from 2.5hrs to 4hrs immediately lar.. could it be since young the moment he cry u guys feed him with milk that's y now he is expecting milk at such short interval?

mayelynn/juz - ya. nowadays i wake up frequently to adjust his pose when he cry for help aftr he maintain for long time on his yoga pose. sometime also worry he might flip over and his head is on the bed so he cannot breath. :s but, i really wish i can see he success flip over one day!!!!
kath/juz - my boy also drink milk every 3 hours.
recently he reduce his milk to 4onz from 5 onz. and nowadays he cannot finish 4 onz also!!! as kath said, maybe everytime when he frust and cry, we just give him the milk, so, nowadyas when he can't fell sleep and frust, he ask for the milk. how ah?

give water! Haha...or give pacifier lor. Shuld never use milk to stop bb cry! Before u knew it, bb will get fat and obese later in life. Always feed on time then shuld be ok. I tink in another few weeks Louis shuld be able to stretch his hrs fr 3 to 4 bah.. Zach oso 120ml (if FM) and he can stretch to 6hrs sumtimes

he is ok leh.. the teachers were telling me usually is the mummy that cannot adapt..babies easy and he is not recognising environment yet so is easy for me n him! Daddy is sad though that he is going to infantcare..sadder that zach dont really want him to carry. haha

I pump in office quite stress leh. cus i dun wan to spend too much time on pumping. scare they say i didnt work. only pump nia! lol. haha mine this sat then can go see her weight and today she's 4 months old! so happy! but before i go work she sleep. so sianz! arghz

till now i didnt ever encounter a blister before leh. you mean you got to burst it? using what? isnt that painful?!
