I read from What to Expect.. book, thumb sucking is perfectly normal and baby will soon outgrow it. If you want to distract baby from thumb sucking, try to use toys etc that can make sound like rattle etc to divert his attention from his fingers / hands. Actually i never pull Zach's hand out from his mouth..i let him suck all he wants cos when he sleeps he will take out his hand automatically. I guess sucking his hands helps him sleep faster. Okay, I still do not want to use pacifier..haha

Phyl, i tink ur infantcare shuldnt juz say they dunno what happened. Cant be the fever run to 38deg overnite mah..luckily u bought him to PD immediately after he vomitted. What did the PD say? Flu bug?

Nowadays alot of flu virus going ard. Govt alr started with all the advertisements etc on TV, magazines and newspaper that flu bug can travel up to 2metre which is even taller than everyone here.. i use that measuring tape that comes with 8days to measure how tall is Zach..keke
 
Phyl: Alamak.. hope Hayden is better now. Baby who are unwell will be very cranky, U take care of urself also hor.

Emeraldbride: yeah.. its perfectly ok to let baby suck their fingers. Its part of their exploring stages as they realised they got hands now! In fact in later stages they will tend to put other things that they grab into their mouth to explore! I gave my baby a pacifier but she hates it, she prefers her fingers.. hehe

i just realise tat my girl can 12hrs dun drink milk.. she can drink at 23:00 then 12am sleep... until 11am then wake up for milk milk.. Faint.. is it ok for her 12 hrs dun drink milk?? i dun Know if i shd pull her up to drink milk anot.. at times.. she will wake up at 6am or 7am to drink.. at times. she rather sleep till 10am or 11am...
 
jowin, I asked my PD b4 coz my boy once zz fpr 9hrs st. He said abt 7hrs still ok, longer better wake them up for milk wor..

wow your baby so tall. My little Ervin i think only 56cm lei. So short. My 1st boy also short lei now 3yrs old liao only 90cm and small size. I think they follow my hubby genes. He is only 167cm.

my baby can also sleep very long. He can take his milk at 8pm then play till 930pm sleep and wake up for milk at 6am. In the middle of the nite if he make noise he is looking for his 'tutu'. try to make milk for him he drimk 1 oz then push away the bottle liao.

During the day still ok he is drinking more.

I hope he have enough milk worry he dun have enough. Try to wake him up for him he wont take one lei.
 
wah Jo, 12hrs dun want milk?? That's very long leh. I will wake Zach up for milk if it is beyond 5hrs (day time) and 7hrs if from midnite till morning

Last nite Zach eh eh again at 4.30am! If not cos my breast is leaking i will not let him latch cos he onie latch for 15minutes then doze off liao till 7.30am then wake up for milk again..

izit randall pass the bad habit of hand sucking to him? keke...since he was beside him that day

my randall also keep sucking..now worst, latch him halfway..he will squeeze his finger into his mouth while sucking my breast..n also recently after shaving his hair short short, he keep use his dirty hand with saliva to feel his hair. Now the head also got rash..haiz

btw, recently i notice Daniell's scalp got something like dandruff ler... is it cradle cap? but why at this age now only got these thing... tot it's normally appeared on newborn baby??

I think we r the oni 3 that do total EBM.. now i have trained my breast to pump 6 hours liao.. oops sounds like my breast can take bottles and pump itself.. haha... so when i go back to work on 16th, i wil pump twice at 12pm and 5.30pm before knock off.. now i can oni fetcj abt 100ml per 6 hours.. so lil... what's your yield?

i gave up on NUK teat liao. i changed it to No. 1 med flow teat but he still need 30min to finish milk. i buay tahan, go buy pigeon teat n he finish between 10-15min!!!! confirm teat not suitable for him.basket.. wasted over $20 for NUK teat... u 1 2 try?

hehe alamak...the sucking hand gang. I also cannot tahan him sucking his hand leh coz make his whole face n hair dirty smelly. Just now he keep touching his whole face, push the milk bottle while drinking that I cant tahan so I tuck both his hand in his trousers haha..then he look very sian then guai guai drink milk then knock off liao.

it could be daniel scalp is dry coz if dry then will also have cradle cap. Randall scalp also become very dry recently n his head got rash...I ask the PD when will all these problems disappear, he tell me 6mths to 1 yr. Then he say later on...other problems like sensitive nose, flu, cough will come..

For me he tell me the same gene that cause eczema also can cause nose problem, sinuses, sensitve to dust n asthma in later years. Aiyooo...make me sian
 
i think my girl start to recognise place &amp; strangers

yesterday brought her to orchard.. after some time, she cry non stop... see the ceiling, cry n cry.. then stop.. think think,, pout n scream n cry.. as if very sad ... sososo cranky... keep see the ceiling like very scare...i keep assure her that mummy is here... no cry...

after sometime, my mum managed to calm her down n she doze off.. in her sleep, she still sob sob...

wah..last nite was at Taka fair. Regretted bringing along that bulky stroller. I park it along the walkway and my hb hv to stand thr n wait for me to shop cos it is so narrow and so many preggers ard! Cant believe it was ard this time last year that we were busy buying stuff.Tink last year spent more..tis year i onie buy 3pc of pigeon pyjamas, some toys, DVD and wet wipes

Jo, so fast Ashlynne starts recognising places liao?? Then u gotta bring her out more often liao else next time u or ur mom will suffer leh..

yes, eczema, sinus, sesitive skin/eyes/nose, allergy, asthma all same 'family' one... now i very worry abt Daniell when i knew tat he has eczema, although very mild only (like level 2-3 out of 10) coz my elder son has all of above (except he has outgrown fr eczema) so the posibility tat Daniell will inherit these problem is there...!!! this is also why this time i insist on BF-ing, some said it will help to reduce the posiblity but i know NOTHING IS CERTAIN... at least i try my best! so now everyday i pray that he won't inherit the problem of asthma fr his kor kor coz taking care of asthmatic child is not easy... we really spent a lot of money on medical expenses on this problem... sad!!

btw, talking abt dry scalp, is there anything i can do?? now it's only small area (like 20cents big) but i scared it will 'spread' wider...

I read books, thought that bb only start to distinguish stranger and caretaker from 7 to 9 months. This is the period they experience strong separation anxiety. Will cry when caretaker (mummy usually) left them at place or when ppl they seldom see or never see b4 carry them. How come ur daughter so young can distinguish liao?

But of course, bb are of different characters in nature. Like my bb, when we go outside, she is very attracted by the lights. Once we go Plaza Sing, she keep looking at the ceiling cause got many different lights.

Is it the 1st time u bring her to Orchard? Perhaps ur bb is guai guai bb, prefer stay at home. Unlike my bb, playful heart (hong sim in hokkien), enjoy look look see see (shopping) so go new place, she wun be cranky as she got no time to be cranky, she want spend her time looking at things. My bb got respiration problem since birth so her breathing at night is always heavy n loud. My colleague recommend a Chinese sinseh to do 推拿 as her 3rd child recover from the same problem after going to see this sinseh. I am bringing my daughter go next week. Anyone of u go Chinese sinseh to help ur bb b4?

that time they say use baby oil to take those dry skin off. and it works for me! i put on a cotton bud. and just wipe it off.

emeraldbride, wat dvd u buy? i also wanted to buy dvd for zayden but dun know which one to buy. yst went taka fair and spend ard $80 again, buying 2 bfree big bottles, travel size wet wipes and toys.
 


Mimi, i bought Baby IQ (i tink).. need to go take a look again cos hb chose it. Mabbe next trip going down I will get the BB Einstein flashcard too.. I spent abt $140 plus leh.. :p
