hi snowger
i m on 6hrly interval ( 4 sessions per day) now n yield 10oz. i think i also need quite a long time to stop naturally..If i prolong the interval..i wonder how long? 8 hrs??? wah.. think can die n sure block..

If i hand express out to prevent engorgement & pain.. how am i going to know is it letdown anot.. Mine did not leak during shower one... i keep massage n press to spray out abit to see any block anot lor...

If i pop med. also not easy... according to iemiko
once i pop med. i cannot pump already.. meaning have to let it engorge till mad...

sighz, which also means that i have been carrying lots of weight. haiz, he has been v cranky (until nanny also quit). that day my guess is that he was sweaty and also had problem zzz. he was awake since mid-morning but he can't really zzz, that's why cranky... until his milk also don't want to finish.

piGgiCia - ok, will post his weight after tmr's checkup. his bones are not as heavy as Kasia's. so he may not turn out that heavy. but i think he should be heavier than Jake (Ivy's), who is 7.3kg at 3mths.

I have the same problem until i did a research from NUK's webby on how to take care of the teat. We have to be doubly hardworking! They work well if you maintain them well. Realised my CL, MIL, etc are guilty of not following the maintainence/rules:
1. Wash immediately after use! (dun leave it in the sink! Apparently, your baby's saliva & milk will react with the silicone! And the grease will block the airvent!)
2. Wash using detergent (baby one if possible), rinse, put salt into the teat, rub the teat, then rinse again

My hb tot I was crazy when I told him how to wash. It's ley chey but hey it works! Esp if you rub the salt over the air vent. Then push the airvent inside out.

And while rinising, keep rubbing the airvent to wash it clean.

sorry, not funnel..is breastshield( with extra valve n membrane too) ..browse thru medela webby then i know i call it wrongly.. hahaha...i have 3 of them.. so bring 2 for my 2 pump session lo.. wil use 1 for each session cos after pump i dun have much time to wash n pour boiling water on the breastshield liao..i have told my IT engineer that i need to borrow the store. hee... thats the oni pl i can pump. no access to server room..

i always make warm bottle detergent solution to clean the NUK teat. quite ok but i din check the air vent..and i feel that making the hole bigger with hot needle is diff lay..is it the silicon teat thicker for NUK?? anyway, i have changed to pigeon pallistic teat n am very very satisfied. hee...

I know what you mean. That day I woke up aft 7hrs I kena rock hard lump 1/2 side of my breast!!!! *sianz* pop med still must suffer engorgement? Yikes!

Why dun you try cutting ss first? i.e. 6hrly interval (pump for 15mins see you can get how much)... keep pumping for 15mins for each pump instead of 1/2hr. So will cut ss, lengthen time, cut ss then lengthen time?

When I lengthen time, I did it 1 hr at a time. i.e. from 3hr to 4hr to 5hr to 6hr. Just to get breast accustom to the lengthening of time.

I think 6hrly interval is all my breast can take. So most prob in future, i will just gradually pump lesser n lesser n lesser.

u will noe if the airvent works or not when ur bb drinks. if it works, bubbles will keep coming out while ur baby drinks.

U made the hole bigger? I dare not do anything to the teat. But so far, my ger oni like NUK. Avent & pigeon I all try... she drink until a lot of pattern... :p

My HB feels that it is such a good idea to have baby gathering often ...PHew!!!... So he said we should also organise one if the rest of the mummies & daddies & Babies dun mind the distance. We'll book the function room if needed

Ur hb really good leh, at least he likes such gatherings (esp when there r so many babies n most of the time at least one will be crying!) The only thing is my ger seems to be sleepy when there are lots of pple ard. She did tat during her full month celebration too!

infact my ss reduce already.. from 5 hrs interval, i prolong to 6hrs.. From 5 sessions, reduce 1 pump session a day, Become 4 sessions.

The SS reduce also.. cos every per pump session. i can get 250-300ml. now i prolong to 6hrs.. also same amount, no increase.

I am using back freestyle as Ameda, i yield nothing out of it..

Same as u.. my max is 6hrs.. the most 6.5hrs if i overslept...

Finally..i can login liao..haha..dunno what happen..today 1st day at work, cannot find my mouse, my charge n i cannot login to SMH! haha..end up my colleague help me find my charge n mouse in my cabinet..wahoo..i am so blur!! Then i change some setting in my laptop, then i change some settings n can access liao..
 
Ambrose weighs 7.65kg at 3mths 3days. Height 60cm only. Head circ 41cm. He had his 1st jab of 6-in-1 at polyclinic and on the same morning, brought him to PD to have to rotarix n pneunococal jabs...

Ivy - hey, i'm interested in maclarren quest. are u a OG member? when r u getting? where's private sale?

my boy recently wake up very often during the night, he doesn't want any feed, he seems like asking for play. its almost hourly wake up since 2am, me and hubby is super tired with it.

I just saw my pediatrician .. Calista is 6.36 kg and 63 cm tall and her head circumference is 41 cm at 14 weeks old .. she had her 2nd and last dose of Rotarix, her 2nd shot of Prevanar and the 5-in-1 jab .. hope she doesn't get fever later ...

My bb is the worst. She is 5.5 months but still only 6kg. She is really VERY SMALL, sighs... Just tat she got super big cheeks so dun appear to be small.

But good thing about it is that she is not too heavy to carry.

Why dun u take ur 6-in-1 in ur PD since u going to ur PD for rotavirus n prevar jabs? I switch to PD instead of polyclinic now for all my daughter jab or when she is not well. Sick of waiting together with alot of inconsiderate ppl who still insist coughing n sneezing in front of u n ur bb. Also, prefer to let doc jab my gal than the nurse at polyclinic.

Dun ur colleague watch Korean drama? Alot of Korean handsome male lead got small eyes. Besides I dun think ur Ambrose eyes are small lor, judging from the 2nd pix posted by Snowger.

How is he today? Grow out of his crankiness?

me didnt go because i overslept.. my boy kept me awake from 5am til 7 am.. i went back to sleep and before i knew it, it was already 2:30pm. Then I had to rush to a baby shower.
im really keen to go but then just didnt make it. so sad!
Er..... when's the next gathering? i really wan to make it this time hee........

im still thinking whether to ster my bottles in office leh. but so far i think n think i decided not to ster yet. i just bring and put in office those i have ster de.

wahhh damn tiring sia to bring machiam like BRICKS to office... 2 bags. faints.. how i wish i can minimize my load sia.. haiz. thinking should i buy a 2nd hand pump so i no need to bring here and there.. But my question is.. am i going to breast feed very long? or only 2more months that i will stop. =(

my boobs haywire. pump twice in ofc. each time 6 hours apart and just yield 30ml each breast cause my right breast lumpy pain. las pump 5.15pm, now pump again at 9.30pm i can get 60ml just for the right side breast. biangz.. new enviroment my boobs shy..
why u ster bottles in ofc har? is it u have collection n feeding bottles? actually u can jus rinse wif water n put in fridge for nex use. iv been doing this at home for 1 month+ liao. jus that ofc no fridge else i also dun have to bring 2 set of breast shield. if im not wrong, jowinbaby is doing this method too.. or bubble pearl? hee... buay kee liao..

Today is Zach's first day at infantcare..super cold leh that place.

Not very happy with the following:
1. Got one baby girl (abt 11mth old) is down with running nose and yet today she is there and her pi ti keep dripping and worse! the teachers allow her to touch n play with all the toys on the floor.. i din see them washing the toys before other crawling babies touch them.. eee..so gross out but worse, the other babies may get infected by her flu virus mah.. i must tell the principal tmr..hehe
