i sing n talk to my boy when he's awake.. but hor i only noe that many songs, sing till I also sian.. dunno he still interested nt.. haha.. but he will smile n response leh.. so I guess he likes bah. recently bought some toys for him.. those rattle kind.. main aim is just to let him see n hear the toy n move his head/eyes when we move the objects. he also enjoys the cot mobile n will smile at the moving objects.. I cant find many toys for under 3mths old baby liao
 
btw, can anyone teach me how to enable e PM?

Jlow, my PD says it's ok for babies nt to poo for up to 8/9days leh. When u say ur bb keeps sleeping, how long is it? coz my boy can zz for 6-7hrs in the daytime sometimes too.. i think it's ok leh.. that's wat babies do mah.. eat, zz, poo, cry.. muahahaha

lastnight was the best night yet for my little boy. snoozed for 7h straight.. from 1900h to 0200h. woke for milk at 2am and again at 6am. hoping that this is going to continue...

do your children all have the same timings?? noticed that both my boys would need to poo at the same time, sleep around the same time etc... one cry, the other also start. are all kids like that? just curious..

i'm a dec mummy too but i realise many of you are going back to work very soon! doesn't 4 mths maternity mean that we will go back in April? how are your leave calculated?

my boy is turning 2mths in 3 days time but still wake up diligently every 2-3 hours for feed at night (i'm on latch on in day and FM for night feed) seems like many babies are sleeping through already and i'm so envious.... am suffering from lack of sleep...

anyone's baby still pooing very frequently?? mine still does. watery yellow poo... wonder if he's ok...

my boy is 9wks+ but also still wake up 2-3hrs at nite for feed (i'm now back to total lacth on, tried to giv my boy one feed of FM b4 at nite time but no diff so giv up liao) me also very envy those mummies whose baby tat started to sleep thru...

my boy used to poo very frequently, which at least 2-3times a day but dunno why since last 2wks he stop pooing daily, now only poo every 4-5days, but PD said ok...

dun think of it as 4mths..count it as 16wks instead. works out to be sometime in mar if you're taking the full 16wks at a go.
i delivered on 3dec and am taking 14wks now..back to work on 11mar.

Long time nve post liao...too bz looking after noti boi. He alway so fussing n cranky. Giving me so many problem.
Fabbie: Knowing that ur gal fussing, maybe this will help u. My boi recently also the same, my neighbour say he got wind in his tummy she teach me two way and nw he better. 1) try to rub some ruyi oil on his tummy b4 he drink is milk.
2)Buy some coarse salt, small onion & ginger. Pound the small onion & ginger then stir fry with the salt until it hot. Wrap with a towel n rub on the tummy. Be careful when it hot.

btw i also sing to my boy budden very rusty with nursery rhymes liao. you know wat i did? put my laptop beside my boy, surf you tube for songs and sesame street videos. i watch and learn, then sing to baby!!!

Youtube got alot of kiddy songs and rhymes.

ya. i did massage her. now when she fussy i just give her whatever stuffs. she want to sit i let her sit. she dun wan to dirnk i dun make her drink. maybe i would change her pampers first.. then i feed her again. it seems work. but sometimes she still dun drink. i like her watch tv or walk around in the living room. I think this is really need alot of patience!!! and im really bearing it.. good to train my patience too again. lol

ya baby drinking BM? if so.. my PD say its normal tat baby will not poo for 1 or 2 weeks if they take BM.

ya i already buy the 3in1 swing liao in SMH.. if you want i got another selling selling at 90 bucks but that one without the toy bar. i saw ebay selling this swing. and i manage to ask for 100 bucks nia with the toy bar. But i drop the ebay one. cus is expensive lor. i posted in SMH then got 3 seller came up to me. 1 of them i buy for 80 bucks with toy bar. another one i intro to pooh liao she bought 80 bucks with the toy bar. the last one is the 90 bucks one lor without the toy bar. I can give u the contact if ya interested then u see u can ask her lower the price anot ba. if u want 2nd hand =)

SWING:

What is the difference between swing n rocker? I got a rocker from my school as a bb shower gift. My daughter used to love it but she start to try turning herself out of the rocker. Guess she dun like rocker liao.

Ur daughter still fuss? That time u say she scare of coldness n u bring her to warmer place, dun work? U want to TMC parentcraft to get their help. I mean dun face the problem alone and stress urself out lor. Get help from them since they able to help u the 1st time.

In the meanwhile, do enjoy urself. Valentine's Day coming! U can have a day out with ur hubby. Perhaps after that, u wun feel so stressed out by ur daughter n no need to smoke to destress liao.
 
Sigh.. i m very upset that i felt 2 ducts block already... Just been to KKH 2 days ago to clear all the block ducts and now its back again... I already pump every 4 hrly without fail & massage like mad b4 pump.. maybe 1 or 2 times pump.. delay to 5 hrs thats all... Try to massage it but its damn painful again.....Breast feeding is so tiring n tough..

Sorry for the complaint.

Nah i dun wan to go TMC parencraft cus that time i went i saw that lady give me a look that says "you come here for what?! ur gal nothing wrong!" see also very sianz. and low mood she hardly smile too! I didnt face the problem alone. i told that GUY. that guy tu me back say Okai what.. im taking care okai ah. And im not looking forward to celebrate with that guy. i already having problems with him liao, ive tried my best! If he really celebrate with me.. Haha i think i strike 4D that day liao!

i just got to ren till sunday, i can go back to my mum's house.. cus at my in law house too many smokers liao. till i buay tarhan! But think another way.. im happy that i can handle myself and gaining these experience =P

Do u still let ur bb latch on?? I find that helps tremendously in removing block ducts.. Babies are super efficient suckers!!! I realised pumping does not help as much... =)

i started to train my baby last weekend to giv him only water at nite, not easy, got to bear with the non-stop crying in the middle of the nite... but i actually train him slowly, trying to stretch his feeding to 4hrs first, mean if anytime within the 4hr time frame, i will giv water only... hopefully slowly to increase to 5hrs, 6hrs & so on... really not easy coz sometimes i was like 'fighting' with him for nearly 2 hrs to get him back to sleep again, & hubby said why not i feed him & let him sleep?? then i told my hubby, u wanna to wake up every nite to feed him??? if not then shut up, else move to other room, hahaa! i hope this method can works... still trying patiently

ya if baby dun poo so often better for me coz less work to do... hehe! & also the consumption of diaper & wetwipe will be lesser as well

i stopped pumping again & go for total latch on... find pumping very ma fan, wash laa sterilize laa... furthermore i'm taking care of my baby alone & he likes to eh eh eh during my pumping session... !!

*sigh*....feeling so down. My boy started his full day infant care session on Monday and for the last 2 days when we fetched him home, he seem not to be able to recognise HB and me and hardly smile and just want to zzzzz. I guess this is the sacrifice we have to go through for not being able to be there for him at such tender age

So HB and I decided that I'm going to take take leave each Wed (hopefully can be approved) so that we can break up the infant care schedule and let him have more attention and love to compensate for the "queue for attention" at the infantcare.

i bought one premium bottle before but my boy dun like the round teat laa so switch back to slim bottle again... waste laa coz used twice only!!! anyway nowadays i use slim bottle to feed water only, more to latch on now...
 
jess...i also went to orchard to look for the swing....all dont have.centrepoint robinson have the graco 2in1..but selling at 369..i think and can only use up to 9kg...

fabbie...80 with toy bar...so good...the seller use how long??i am contacting the seller selling without the toy bar...

iemiko, or any mummies, i got one 9oz nuk bottle (brand new), and some nuk teats (some used few times, some brand new) can give away if anyone interested. me using Bfree bottles for my boy now

luthadel, is it becoz bryan's been playing more at the infantcare that he's tired at end of the day so wanna zz? some of the centres that I visited b4 actually has lotsa activities for babies too.. dun worry to much, guess this is what happens to working parents no matter what daycare the babies are put to.. I m also trying to prepare myself that my boy will soon be closer to the grandparents than me (thou hopefully nt!) =(

I did the same like you. Sing and talk to her, let her see the mobile and show her the rattle. But i think she's not interested in the rattle. Only hold it for a while then throw away liao. She loves to "talk" whenever I talk to her:D I also find it hard to find any toys suitable for her. Meanwhile the mobile seems to be able to keep her occupied when I'm busy.

Why TMC parentcraft ppl like that? They should be even more understanding wat. N we r paying, ok. So they got to respect us, their customers.

Dun be upset by that GUY. Hehe... Wat a way to call own hubby. Actually I also face problem with my hubby during my maternity. Seem that it is common among couple to quarrel over bb for the first few months. But things will get better as u 2 need time to get used to life with bb. Actually quarrel also good in a sense that you get to know what the other party is thinking. But most important, dun let quarrel get over u. Think of the problem, rather than him. Then work together to find the solution.

Besides once u r back to work, no time to quarrel with hubby. Haha... That is what happen to me now. Too busy till no time to find his fault.
 
jo, i din see a doctor for my blocked ducts..i let my son latch on and then i pump for 30minutes and at nite let him latch on again. this morning let him latch again.. now abit clear liao..still hv some lumps which i will pump later in the afternoon then hopefully will be okay liao.

i do agree that breastfeeding really tests our endurance..the pain, the preparation, etc..but tink as a benefit for our child..I do not mind. Even when my relatives all laugh that my breast is so big n saggy, sometimes i do feel sad but hey, juz tink "at least i have milk to feed my baby for 3mths alr.."

Jes, i myself cant stand baby's cry at nite so i din give him water.. i tried one nite but he scream the whole house down, scared he wake up my sisters..so i end up giving him milk. Failed mission! But luckily he now wakes up at 3am everyday without fail for his milk.. and then 7am.. so I still get 6 hrs of sleep broken into 2 sessions of 3hrs each..cant complain much liao.

4 more days and I will be going back to Singapore.. i miss SG so much. Will bring Zach to Plaza Sing of Monday to meet ex-colleagues for lunch..
 
Fabbie, for me having a baby has change my attitude to be better. Even my hb oso noted that I am more patient. Yesterday, he had a minor accident with the car and the bumper came out. He called me n was scared that i will be angry (cos the car is less than 6mths old n alr he had 3 accidents with parking) but to his surprise, i laugh at him for being careless and since alr happen, juz send it for repair n pay $$ lor..no big deal.But he is still moody till nite time he cannot tahan he went for a jog to let go his steam! Hahaha.. I told him to take care of baby for few days then he will be a changed man!

During my pregnancy, i also quarrel alot of wif him till i throw things at him..he dun understand how i feel but after tat he told me, he finally understand why i would hv that thought during pregnancy and now he oso hv that same thought as me. Just gotta be patient with our hb lar..

so poor thing being a mummy n wife. Gotta be patient wif baby and then gotta be patient with hubby..haha

anyone knows how old can we put a baby in the fisherprice jumperoo? Saw one in the WTS section..thinking of getting it..

I finally got the medela PIS advanced from 1st few yrs..anyone know beside the suction sound, is it normal for it to have the knocking sound? I called them n they say it is normal..

anyway it really shorten the pumping time by half when I was using the medela mini electric plus..n now I also dunid to massage already with the PIS.. So relieved..can use it at work..

my boy can wake up anytime one, even though sometimes 1hr after feed... already 'tahan' him for 2 mths so not going to tolerate him anymore... wahaha!! last nite result not bad coz i last fed him at 9pm+ then next one was at 2am+, but he woke up at 4am+ coz my elder son suddenly scream, but i gav him pacifier only & he went back to sleep quite fast, & woke up only after 7am... so basically i fed him every 5hrs last nite

ask u har, u give yr bb tutu? will he suck suck than e tutu fall out from his mouth and he make a big fuss(cry, kick his legs swing his arms) so that someone can put it into his mouth for him?
or he rub his face and accidentally sweep his tutu then the same fuss? so i have to swaddle him at night..

so piss wif him one u know, he actually sleep liao but will wakes up n fuss when tutu drop out!! i can go to the room 10x jus to put the bloody tutu for him! and he really need to suck the stupid to sleep lor...las time my #1 also like that!! xianz man..

i can't feed him water i think. now he sleeps in the cot with us and my daughter sleeps on the bed with us. so once he eh eh i will quickly get up to bring him out. nowadays i try to stretch a bit when his eh-eh sounds not tt strong so sometimes can stretch another half hour or so. but once he starts crying i give up and bf him...

sometimes he fusses when i bottle feed him FM... think i've to train him next month to drink more from bottle tootherwise when i go back work dunno how... BUT I HATE PUMPING!... sigh...

so how long u plan to BF?

i do giv tutu to my boy, but he dun like it laa, sometimes i feel tat i'm forcing him to take coz everytime i put tutu into his mouth, he will stick out his tongue & block it, if i still carry on then he will show me a puking action lor... & ya same as urs lor, the tutu always fall out (if he wan to suck) & hav to help him putting it back, sometimes feel like pasting scotch tape on it, wahaha!!

but actually taking tutu to sleep not good lor, coz once the tutu fall out, they will wake up & cry for tutu, last time my #1 also like tat, & he really sucked until 2yrs plus...

any mummies out there who are total latch on now and not pumping and going back to work soon??? what's your plan when you go back to work? full formula feed? i'm still wondering what i should do...

my baby also the same but the diff is when he is in deep sleep he will puke the tutu out. When he is not and hte tutu drop have to put back for him. Sometime i get angry and refuse to give him to tutu and pat him to sleep.

my boy now also havent sleep through the nite. At most sleep for 5hrs. Like yesterday he sleep at 930pm and wake up at 3am for his milk. Then next feed is 6am.

now i am giving my boy BM in the day and FM during the nite. He also only poo once in 4 to 5 days lei. That start 1 wk plus ago. B4 then he is like 1 day poo a few time then become once daily now is 4 to 5 days. Today when PD for his jab so check with the PD she say as long as well the poo is soft and not hard then is ok.

Total jab cost me total of $425. Siong.
