I am using Baby Bjorn Original too but black colour. My baby love it! Not every baby love it. Best is to try out during shopping. Just bring ur baby go shopping at mothercare to test whether she like or not.

As for wriggling, she will wriggle everytime she excited n she is always excited in the Baby Bjorn since we r outside. So we dun bother.

I bought mine at $145 from mothercare, 15% discount. We bought straight after testing. So how much the seller quote u?

If u r really getting, buy colours that ur DH can use cause actually most of the time he is the one who use. Though it help to distribute bb weight evenly, I get tired after few hours. Not to mention my bb will be getting heavier.

Baby Bjorn Original can only used up to 10 kg so if ur bb is of a bigger size, it is not worthwhile. Baby Bjorn Synergy can carry up to 12 kg n weight distribution is much better but too costly. Think original retail price is $299.

Now my baby head is hardened liao, she is currently facing outwards instead of facing inwards. She love it also. Guess she sian of seeing me n my hubby face liao.

mo came tis morning n said d preliminary results r out. some bacteria growth in d urine n spinal fluid. hope spinal fluid one is due to mutliple pokes during prodcedure n not tt he is having infection in his brain. now waiting for consultan to come n see kayson.

will try my baby out again as yesterday was the 1st day i put baby in bjorn. She wriggle n wriggle n felt trap but quickly, she fell asleep, then i continue to shop for CNY goodies.. haha!!!

One very very good thing with bjorn.. I almost tripped n fell, lucky with bjorn holding on to my BB as i used both my hands to support myself. If not BB would have fly off from my arms. PHEW!!

yes, my baby start making noise and trying to talk... my mum also kept talking & singing to her and me too..

Maybe we can start story telling soon.. haha!!

Seems like Bjorn carrier is popular. Me gonna get one too. I saw at First Few years ytd, got discount. But no time to try out. Only bought a crib wedge for my baby.

I just bought the sebamed facial cream.. my little boy also seems to be having milk rash despite all the wiping..or perhaps its ezcema?? How often did you apply the cream to your baby's face?

At first I apply it around 4 times. Each time b4 I apply, I wipe his face with cold boiled water. 1 after bath in the morning, 2 times after milk feed in the afternoon n evening coz the milk get to his face need to wipe and 1 before bedtime.

But after all the redness n acne gone, now I just apply twice a day to protect his skin esp CNY coming hehe. 1 in the morning n 1 at night b4 bed.

Maybe the teats collapse and she have a hard time to suck the milk, need more strength, which result to heavy panting. Reason, NUK teats are very soft..

I m also using NUK teats. so far no problem.. BUT as she gets older, i will change teats, most likely to AVENT. Cos NUK too soft for baby who suckle hard.
 
mummies, can start singing to ur babies liao. Read from babycenter.com, after 6 weeks, baby will be able to relate to music not only to nursery rhymes. Yesterday we sang different song to Zach in the car..he was laughing and giggling away..even trying to coo at us..is good to read to them and not limit to juz storybooks. The site says even when we are reading newspaper we can read out loud. As long as there are words..bb will be able to learn faster to.

Lately I have been sleeping like a pig! Everytime he cry, i will juz pat pat him ask him to go back to sleep. Hahaha, until i see the clock, oopss, is his feeding time and i kept patting him to sleep. This morning even forgot to warm up his milk end up i hv to latch him at 2am!

After Zach's fever, my hb say he sleeps better on our bed :p so these few nights he is sleeping on our bed, and indeed he did sleep better, mabbe cos the bedsheet is very cooling type..n he is a big boy liao, dun want us to swaddle his hand anymore. So we juz wrap his body to keep warm.

I went through a period where my gal love to play till 2 or 3 am then sleep. But after a while, she adjust back to daytime play, nighttime sleep on her own. Maybe she realise her father n her mother not as good to play with during nighttime as compared to daytime. Haha... Lousy playmate so she decided to sleep instead. Perhaps ur daughter is going through this stage too. U observe few days to see got any pattern lor.

I already start singing since day 1 that my gal came home. Haha... Kiasu parent.

She love it n I usually do it with action. Like when u sing twinkle twinkle little star, u can open n close ur palm. When sing london bridge is falling down, u can really fall ing down (body squat downwards). Sing 3 tiger (chinese), can act out also. I often do it at school to entertain n catch my students attention so I dun feel paiseh about it. U can also try that if u dun feel paiseh.

So fast! Ur son can laugh out with sound liao. My gal always been smiling (broad smile type) until 2.5 months then she laugh out with sound type.
 
Bjorn Carrier
I'm using Bjorn Air and I really like it alot. It is very cooling both for me and my boy. One additional tip, look for the Baby bjorn carier bib that can be attached to the carrier so that in case baby drools sideway or when you start to wear them facing the front, they won't dirty the carrier so easier. I bought mine from Mothers work at Tanglin Mall.

Baby Talk & Laugh
haha, my boy started to coo and gaa and laugh out loud when he turns 2mths old. Now, he can recognise me and when i greet him in the morning, he will return with a nice smile and a laugh and sometimes "baby talk" back to me! Usually after his feed, I'll hv some "talking" session with him and he responded with his language. Getting more fun now. Sometimes when I make the pool straining sound to get him to poo, usually he will poo within 2 mins but now, sometimes he just laugh at me like saying "mummy i'm not going to poo but you sound and look funny" hahahaha

Fever
*Sigh* I came down with fever yesterday night and now still having mild fever and got to handle bb alone as hubby got to rush deadline at work. Hope I'll be ok by tmr to go grocery shopping. Now I'm wearing a mask just in case I spread to my boy :s

Hey, if you ladies are looking for a super light weight bag to carry around with baby, I would suggest you take a look at Le Sport Sac. They have both the normal and diaper bag series and the later comes with matching changing mat. I bought mine yesterday but I went for a normal bag so that I can use it for work as well. Will post the bag on our blog when HB is free hehehe....

Thanks. partly bcos my in laws came over to visit yesterday afternoon... she already no nap n being carried aways.. Then 5pm plus, i put her to nap awhile and brought her to my grandma house.. Think too many ppl carry n talk to her.. she distress.. at nite SUPER cranky than other nights.... i got no choice to wake my HB up at 2am to coax her as i could not take her cries already... he must be zombie now at work

wah so many post in the weekend! Anyways.. I tried the huggies dry. Pretty good!! No leak and boi seems to like it. I am just wondering if it is cos it is M size. Maybe the S size is getting too small for his volume!!

Btw.. I delivered in NUH and signed up for the 6 in 1 package but not so ex as polyclinic leh. It is $200 plus. Can't remember the price. Will let you know when I go for vaccination next week.

My boi is now 7 weeks and he coos at times when you talk to him. He does smile but he has a funny smile.. one side only. No specific side but he just likes to smile one sided. seems rather cynical..hahha!!

BTW... there is this diaper bag by safety first which comes with a changing mat. Folds up into a pouch.. pretty good to use when I am out on my own. Will take a pic later and upload it! Then like luthadel, I just use ordinary bag / haversack. No need special diaper bag.. pretty ex.

kayson's blood culture results is back. e.coli in his bld stream caused by his urine infection. feel so bad tt i din detect earlier leadin to all these. he din show any symptoms n was well n alert all d while. =( gotta need kidney n brain scans plus lots of antibiotics. will be spendin cny in kkh.
 
btw gals.. my baby has a pimple on her butt and her face got a big big pimple!!! even the white white thing inside can see leh.. im thikning of squeezing it.. CAN i? the butt pimple i didnt squeeze i was bathing her. it seems to burst already.. but no leh. next day it come white thing again.. how you all deal with pimple?? is those big big pimple those kind

Iemik0..dun feel guilty. it is unusual for boys to get urine infection. But how come need brain scan when he is alert and well? So sorry to hear this and will pray that he gets better soon!!!

haiz..I started to notice some red discharge like menstration yesterday nite...sian..dunno is it really menstration?? how come so fast after pregnancy? I on full BF now, tot wont come so fast...??

how come ur post-natal gynae checkup so fast? mine is only 1X after i first discharge. then the next visit will be 2 mths time..which is in feb..i didnt koe must get the go-ahead fm gynae before execrising leh..not that i have been execrising but intend to do so cause still got some fats to burn..

btw, does ur bb still sleep a lot in daytime? i scare if he sleeps alot then nite time cannot sleep, but if he dun sleep during daytime then i got no time to do housework & cooking ler... dunno wat i wan also... haha

nowdays my boy sleeps quite a bit in afternoon..like he can go for 2 to 3 hrs stretch..then wake up , then sleep again till abt 5plus 6plus...then fm 6plus he will be quite awake & cranky at times till 7plus 8..which we then try to put him to bed...& he still can sleep at nite. . Oh I also put him on tummy in daytime to sleep, of cos not at nite..

Over the wkend was at my mother's place where we on the aircon thurout the whole nite & I realise BB sleeps very well. In my own place i only on aircon for awhile. Then when the aircon stops, BB wakes up more frequent at nite..think he feels hot so uncomfortable, cos at times when i carry him up at nite, he's perspiring..Poor boy, cos he cant turn, so whole nite 1 position no wonder so uncomfotable & hot...So last nite, I also on aircon thurout, & true enuff, my Boy slept so well fm 10pm plus till this morning 7am. In btw, it's me who woke him up at 130am & 5am for his feeds cos my breast felt so so heavy;p;p...I conclude my BB loves aircon

Thinks it's okie to let ur BB sleep in daytime, they shd be slowly getting used to knowing they hv to still sleep at nite when all lights are off = nite time. My boy can stare at me with wide eyes when i sometimes change his diaper at nite. but i dun talk to him. I just quickly change then off the lights. He will go back to sleep himself..

Most docs and health fitness pple usually advise post-natal moms (normal delivery) to start serious exercise after 6 weeks.. and best to wait for gynae to give the green light... U can start doing some light stretching and ab exercise ( no full sit-ups though) between 0-6 weeks...

Tamms told us in the forum that after her 6 weeks check, doc told her not to exercise yet as her cervix is low.. So u see.. best to let gynae see u first...U wouldn't know if there is anything wrong...
 
juz gotten update from my dr fren. spinal fluid results seems to be negative afta 48hrs. thanx goodness. results shows tt he is sensitive to all antibiotics which is a good sign. easier to treat d bug. =)

dr juz wans to be on d safe side as his spinal fluid got a bit of growth, mayb due to traumatic procedure as quite hard to get his sample. dr say he chubby bb so hard to get. =(

he could gotten d e.coli from his poo poo. coz he onli poo poo once every 2 daes den alot one until will kana his penis n balls one. every time got wash n wipe clean clean lei. mayb it travelled up w/o us knowing leading to urinary track infection.

actually.. I still dun understand how urine infection go all the way to tapping spinal fluid? Poor Kayson!! BTW..did you buy medical insurance for him? can cover liao. I just got the one from the great easten using medisave to pay one. I think one year ard $150 then I bought the rider too which was more ex... around $260. So if you happened that you haven't gotten one.. do consider
covering quickly.

if rider purchased, no deductible. No rider, just medishield thingy.. deductible is $3K. But this is only for hospitalization. If stayed hospital..any bill incurred outpatient 90 days b4 and after is covered provided it is the same reason. I.e. diarrhoea till stay hospital.
That's what I understand from the agent.

today so suay...saw scary incident happening at my blk. I was looking outside my balcony n saw a man opposite sitting outside the parapet going to jump down..omg...end up I call police n scdf all came but he was not there anymore..then they left, he appear again when I was passing by my balcony..so scary..heng he got caught 2nd time..Phew!

u can google UTI.. there's alot of info on it.. basically, it's more common for gals to get UTI.. that's why must wipe from front to back.. else bacteria from poo-poo can travel up to the private area and cause problem..

yipe. d bug went into his blood stream so gonna require many daes of antibiotics. gonna check if dr if she's agreeable for mi to d/c on cny eve n i jab him at home myself.

so far his intake is pretty good. juz tt nite time he is more cranky. was so tired ydae nite tt i juz place him on d 'sofa bed' wif mi. past few nites, mi n my sis took turns to carry him as he refuse to slp in d cot.

not every bb will get it one. heng sui ba. uti is usually caused by e. coli. juz tt we detect too late den it went into his blood stream le. usually more common for gers to get it.

Zach's poo also always kena his penis cos it is always a 'bomb' down thr..hahaha. I sumtimes oso feel worried.. oh yes, does the tip of bb penis abit red?? I mean not normal skin color but slightly red?

bb hard to detect. usually hav one of these symptoms but fever most common sign.
1. sudden fever
2. urine smelly
3. cry when urine
4. poor appetite or vomiting

kayson poo poo oso like bomb. hard to clean rite? smtimes i will pull d skin abit to clean inside afta he poo poo coz i scare. but end up still kana in his urine. argh.

my boi penis tip abit red oso. but now no more.
