spag, i staying in punggol..u wanna share nepia diapers? I wanna order S size but i was advised by my fren do not specify which size u want during ordering let the fella call u then u ask what are the weight for S size..don't tink i wanna buy M to stock up cos i dunno how heavy is my boy now. He is now using Mamy Poko S size for 3kg - 8kg.

Jes, i using nappy cos CL is washing mah..hahah, but i will continue to wash lar, it is lesser burden on my pocket. I thought staying him during confinement will help me to save more, but i end up spending more as well.

I was telling my hubby, either i do housework at wee hour in the morning ard 4am or 5am or late at nite ard 11pm when baby n him is sleeping which including doing laundry. This is the only way, i tink day time will be too busy taking care of bb.
When u remove his diaper, dun take it out completely lor..place it under his buttock or sumthing..My CL was saying when u remove diaper, if his birdie seems to be stiff (not limp) meaning got urine inside, so better shh shh to ask him to urine out..hahaha. Yesterday my bb peed on me when i bathe him

bubble, i still swaddle my boy from his chest onwards. I hv not cut his fingernails leh, so dun dare to remove mittens n booties. I find that swaddling him makes him sleep better leh cos when he wriggle his hand out, he tends to get startled easily. I will only stop swaddling when he is older like after 2months..now he still abit small size, hehehe. As for the hands movement i tink is ok lar..now he can grab my fingers liao..which i always let him do when latching him. I let him touch my face, my breast, my mouth n my nose..hehe.

i think u all better order S size liao. Cos i order 2 NB and 2 S. Now my boy going to outgrow the NB one already. NB is till 5kg. S size is for 4kg to 8kg. It cost $15 per pkt. Need to order a carton (4pkt) and will delivery to your hm. I think NTUC more ex.

cloth nappies
I'm using cloth nappies in the day and disposable diapers at night. Bought a dozen prefold nappies from Bumwear. My MIL lives with us and helps to look after Emma, so she also helps to do the housework. But from what I see, she doesn't handwash leh. Just soak the soiled nappies overnight and machine wash the next day.

I tried removing Emma's mittens yesterday after I saw that she doesn't really scratch her face anymore. I think it's good to let babies touch and feel things, to stimulate their senses. Just have to watch out for their fingernails lor.. Then when I'm nursing her, sometimes can still kena scratched

But I think it's worth it la, for her to learn how to use her hands and fingers.
 
ikeike, me jialat too when my CL leaves this sat. no choice, bb will have to learn, my CL says bb will adapt within 24hrs.

bubble, my girl always fall asleep midway during nite feed.. she always choke, yesterday, she vomit out all the milk she drank, gave me a fright... now if she choke 2 times, i'll stop feeding her, wait for 5-10mins, then continue again...my CL says the EBM can keep for 1 hr, normally, we leave the bt in the warmer, bb will finish it with the next 1/2hr.

Diapers: i using drypers which my CL recommend. so far so gd... i already bought M size since S is becoming too small for my 5 wks old girl. my friend recommend petpet, i ask my CL, she says it leaks. so i think i'll stick with drypers.
How much is nepia?

i tried on my pupsik sling on my girl today and she quite like it, nearly fall asleep in it...was trying on a few times, now am getting the hang of it..
 
Home alone....My CL just left this morning...just 1/2 day on my own & I'm exhausted liao...now sneaking some time to post while I take my lunch cum breakfast...Yah, wanted to take my breakfast this morning, but my boy kept crying so got to pacify him..fm my record book he's been crying for milk almost every 1/2 hr since this mornig..finally he's sleeping for an 1 hr now...hpefully he's also exhausted & will rest for more...

I really pei fu u mummies who have been coping with bb on ur own...

Nappies :
we bot nappies intending for CL to use them, but in the end thurout the whole period we use diapers instead as my boy really poos very very often.
Jes, I also wonder when then will babies on BM poo less?? this morning i change his diaper, he poo on me & the cot! alamak! 1st day on my own & BB gives me a "big present"! have to settle BB then clean myself up & then change his cot bedsheet & wash the dirty ones..

Then ater i soak the dirty ones, he wake up & cry again for milk...less than 1/2 hr..

Sleeping on our chest:
Yeah my boy likes to be carried & sleep on our chest..my CL says is bcos bb can hear our heartbeat like when they in our tummy...

Baby Sling: seems like the pupsik sling is not bad.. yah i need to invest in 1 ..cant be carrying BB with my hands whole day..

Shorts/pants:...huh means to say we wont get back to pre-pregnancy size ah...wah lao....i only bot 3 shorts.... thou can wear dress, but i realise if going out, 1 pc (like dress) more difficult to BF..if wear 2 pc (short/jeans & tshirt) easier to BF....

hahaa.. my boy also did tat to me as well, poo on my clothes & cot too, sometimes on my hand & one time even shoot on the floor when he was actually in the cot bcoz his poo poo sometimes so 'explosive' ler, urs also?

btw, to make bb sleep a bit longer, i'll let him lie down & sleep on his tummy, my mum said like tat they feel more secure & won't wake up so easily, but can only do that during daytime & we hav to keep an eye on them la, scared sekali they put their face down & cannot breath, if i let him sleep facing up he seems like can't nap longer & keep on waking up less than half an hr... btw i won't let him sleep like tat during nite time coz not safe...
 
so boring at home & nothing to eat, wanna bring my boy go compass pt jalan jalan but scared cannot handle him alone... hehe! eventhough i'm mother of 2 oredi but i never bring such small baby go out alone before, unless i got car la then easier... sianzzz
 
I extended my CL till next Tue. Spose to end today but we hvg another round of celebration on this Sat, so afraid bb might get cranky n I may not be able to handle.

Hb kp telling me to take over from but I very slpy leh just snored away hehehe...... Think when CL really really not here then it will be my show. Wah sometimes at nite I woke up to find myself super grouchy n chor lor at my bb only to feel super guilty thereafter. How ah to make this sleepiness go away??

let me try using the sling again later today.. no chance to try it on my bb tis morning.

pastillies, i suspect i may hv the same problem as u next week when my CL leaves.. my bb is fussier in the morning..usually will not sleep after he wakes up at 7am. Btw, wat are u mummies eating for lunch if u r alone wif bb? Cook or?

yeah, if i let him sleep on his tummy at least he can sleep 2-3hrs if not i won't hav time posting here liao... hahaa! but of coz i do it 1-2 times a day only la coz i oso dun wan him to nap too much... but why young bb shouldn't sleep like tat? scared they suffocate?

these 2 days i'm alone with bb, never cook ler coz nothing left in the fridge for me to cook, so only eat biscuit, instant noodles, bread.. and nite time waiting for hubby to tapao back... u ler

yeah HB & I were commenting that BB like koes it daytime..once 7am/8am he wakes up, he wont go back to sleep for long...
For me, today 1st day CL not ard. she prepared my Breakfast/lunch/dinner in advance so i heat up...tom I'm going out with BB...mmm subsequent days i also dunno lunch how...gotto tink of a way...

Diapers: I'm also using Goon now..previously using pampers but ex leh ..so for the long run sake got to find alternatives...i heard a lot of good feedback abt goon so ordered to try..Now using the NB size still...so far okie.. Also ordered the S size..when i'm using it then feedback..
we dun quite like Dryers leh..the sticky tape at the side makes such a loud noise when we open to check / change his poo poo..
 
jes, my CL also let my girl sleep on her chest when she really fuss about, but really got to keep an eye on the bb, last nite, i saw my girl sleeping on her chest while my CL warm up her milk, bb was trying to push herself up like a frog... and manage to turn her head from one side to the other, couldn't imagine if she fail & end up face down...

my bb starts getting cranky n fussy since 2nd week too.. so diff from his 1st week.. sign.. i thot this time round i will have a sleepy boy cos my #1 din sleep much too..

jes, at first hb ask me to order tingkat but the trial are either 10 days or 5 days but i dun wanna order cos i will not be in singapore for so long. Going back to KL on 21st jan liao. U eat instant noodle? not good lar summore breastfeeding now.

Mabbe i will also be like u, eat bread n biscuit unless i go market this sunday to stock up some food. Shuld hv some time to cook simple food bah.

I tried placing my boy on tummy down but he is like so difficult..hahaha, doubt he will be able to sleep tat way leh.

wah just now went to JP with my mum.. i decided to sling my gal out. but i give up. cus seems like so complicated! and i think i must master more of it then sling. But nvm then i decided to take my stroller. and i realise its abit heavy and im thinking later go up the bus must be damn mafan. so AT THE END i decided not to take anything. i just carry her and i totally regert! hahhaa infact wana go shopping and go there and eat.. at the end END up i tarbao food go home and eat. Im thinking to go out to JP again! this time maybe will take stoller out! i dun care about the bus liao. cus i carry my gal like that already so heavy liao. haha hope tomorrow me and my mum will succeed! lol.

i really peifu those mummy who bring their kid out alone. i wonder how they get up the bus alone with the stroller with baby and got to carry so many things like diaper.. milk bottles!

btw u gals trying goon? is it cheap? i heard its the same price of mamypoko wor

bo pian, man .. when I had my 1st baby many years ago ... my hubby would drive to work .. so if I want to go out with my baby, take bus lor !! I refused to take a cab even in those days ... besides, Potong Pasir(last time we lived with my inlaws) actually not that far from town ... so I would lug my stroller (an Aprica) and my baby up the bus MYSELF.

damn siong. Seldom would strangers help. I waited till my daughter's neck was more stable so I can carry her in one hand over my shoulder then with my free hand .. carry the stroller up the bus. Heng never fall, man.

Now u ask me to do that, I won't .. take MRT can .. just push baby in the stroller. But bus? ... no way now.
 
Yeah, Zach's passport is done and ready for collection.. tink they r not so strict on infant photos..I hope my bb will not mind the photo that mummy choses for his passport..keke
 
fabbie, tat's y i buy a new stroller though i will never bring bb out on a bus unless there is someone wif me to carry it. Hahaha... call cab lor. If i go out wif bb i will sure call cab, at least the cabbie can help me with the stroller. I will oso not bring out the sling cos i dunno how to use it yet..keke

if u do that in the bus everyone's eyes will be looking at u. will be thinking this woman so slow! haha. Ya leh i very scare go up the bus will fall down leh. i wanted to take cab to jurong point leh. but its only 5 busstop from my house. abit waste money wor.. Ya MRT quite easy. Bus quite hard. cus in the center got the topid pole blocking. Infact i must get a stroller that just nice i can roll on the bus passing true the pole. Infact we should get the measurement hor! hahha.

One thing im scare to bring my gal out. im just she cry in the public then everyone will be looking at u. Wahh.. this one i cannot take it sia. i will sure hide one corner or just wear my sunglasses so that no one staring at me but my baby lolx. I kinda got this thinking that whenever you bring out baby.. they will tense to look at baby what they are doing.. Im kinda scare they will walk up and say. EXCUse me your carrying position is wrong liao.. or maybe Baby cannot like that one!. i think only those 38 auntie will do that lor.. wonder did you all kana before anot. heng i havent cus i hardly bring her out. heheh

I brought my boy out many times on my own liao and all these time, I use my baby bjorn carrier. Really very easy and it free up my hands and can even go toilet with him strap to me securly. So, you may want to try using a carrier

Having said that, my boy now on 4-5hourly feed so I time my outing so that I won't hv to bring feeding stuff if possible if not i'll just bring 1 feed.

your sling is what sling? xiaopooh gave me hers, cus she say hard to use its MIM brand.. its so complicated sia when i try it out too!.. infact i did manage to sling my gal. but it seems like is not the way in the video like leh.. then i scare i wear the sling hor. people saw liao will say i carry wrong way. lolx. jialet. i keep thinking what people will come up to me and scold me. so scare lolx

oh those carrier can use for 2 months? i tout normally those carrier could be use for only babies neck have been stable de?

Wah. your 4 to 5 hours feed? so good mine normally 2 to 3 hours then need to drink liao.. so bryan normally drank how many oz? does he drink finish? or normally have left overs?

I started using the carrier at home when Bryan was 3wks old weighing 3.5kg and about 55cm tall. My baby bjorn carrier have very good neck support and it keeps his back straight when he is in it. I used it then 'cos he kept wanting to be carried and my arms cannot tahan. He loves the carrier, once in he will sleep all the way till next feed. When i bring him out, he sleeps thru as well but if I carry him in my arms, he will wake up, make noise and protest.

He is currently drinking 130ml/140ml per feed. Most of the time he will finish his milk and occassionally will have some balance (10ml)towards the end.

i ordered tingkat 2mths b4 i give birth (coz always home alone & no energy to cook) but the food not really fanstatic ler and i ended up throwing away a lot of the food ler... waste money nia...

yalor eat bread & biscuit coz alone at home mah, if cook only cook a bit for lunch then more for dinner for my hubby & #1 as well, but only very simple dish, but i told my hubby liao if i dun feel like cooking then will ask him to tapao instead... hehe

for baby's passport photo, it's ok if the photo not so nice la coz after maybe 1 or 2 years later u still hav to change their photo again when their face change... btw, r u fr KL?

i hav pupsik pouch & infantino baby carrier, and i find that baby carrier is still the easiest to use...

of course babies love being carried ... carry sure can sleep for long stretches .. The minute u put down in their cot or crib, wake up in mere minutes.

jes, i m from klang. Same hometown as jazlyn..hehe. Last time my mom oso ordered tingkat which tastes horrible..so i hv bad experience. I rather order mcd everyday or worse, go compass point wif my bb lor.

yes, do try the pupsik sling and let us know how it goes ... my maid carries Calista in a sarong sling when we make short trips to the supermarket and we dowan to take the stroller out of the car ... Calista will sleep happily. haiyo. these babies ...

i try on my gal when she's sleeping i keep switching here and there till i sweat! if she's awake i try she will keep crying so i give up. i wait for her to sleep than i try hehe.

btw why baby need passport photo? so fast need a passport le meh? and is it a must? hehe Zach look more curious than firence hehe

notice that his face really bigger liao compared to when he was few weeks old.. how fast bb grow hor.. now im tinking of savign more these few mths and then tender so that i can spend more time wif Zach..at least for the next 1 year. :p

kath & fabbie..wah..u all so wei dao ah..for me i cannot stand taking care my boi myself..i feel so useless now..now i am staying in my parent's place n here is my daily routine..Wake up in the midnite to feed him..then morning..my sil will bath for him..while i still sleep..my mum will feed him if i am still sleeping..later afternoon my mum will take care him while i slp..then my sil will bath for him..like now..my sil is carrying him and feeding him..haiz..i am so sian abt taking care of him liao! I have the sarong sling..maybe i will try to see if i can master that cos i cannot stand carry him whole day!

Sleeping on tummy: btw i put my boi on his tummy today n i realised he can raised his head up for like 5 sec..and even go down..he also go slowly..
