didnt exactly know wat happen bet u n ur mum..but mum still better than MIL i feel..irreplacable de..for me, my mum died when i was 12 yrs old..so i feel that nothing can compared to own mother de..

2nd baby,
i will give my bb pacifier if she refused to sleep..hee..but sometimes she will suckle a while n puke out the pacifier heself..hee..very cute one..im using avent brand..

Footprint i tried.. Failed cus when my baby step on it. it SLIDE! -___- then the clay everything mess up lor. then redo it again its so ugly le.. and nvm i try to redo it. then it become hard liao. As for hand no need to say lar. Its quite hard to open their hands to place it there. so i guess u must wait when their older abit then can do it. If not wasted.

Wah kath u super rich sia. in the end u got 2 carseat and 2 stroller ah? hahha

Hehe i brought her there when she's 1 month 1 week 2 days! =S hahhaa i kiasu. i scare the voucher expire. cus after 2 months cannot use liao. and i scare by that time im not free somemore new year. so I just bring her there lor. we didnt spend alot of time there cus my gal was hungry and tired. so play about 10 mins ba. hehe

ya tried. she still dowan. sigh. if she does suck, it's only for 2 seconds, then she realized it's not my boob ie no milk, she spit out. sian. all my girls didn't want pacifier. thought maybe this last one got chance ... I think babies sucking on pacifiers so cute.

Any of u drink DOM? I really regret drinking the DOM jus now. my heartbeat so fast, face so red and my breath so hard now. and the worst is, do i need to pump and discard my milk? i drink 2 mouth of DOM mixed wif warm water at 10.30pm immediately after the pump and next pump is 12.30am. i so scared the alcohol wil stay in the milk cos it's producing now. really regret man...my boi is jus 3 weeks nia n the liver isn't too strong for the alcohol. how how how??

The lady at HarbourFront branch told me to come after my baby is fed well n rest well or else they wun swim long or enjoying as well. So that is what I do and indeed my daughter have a great fun. I got no pic to show cause we record it as video instead and forgot to take pic. Blur parents...

I agree mum is the greatest! If without my mum, dun think I can handle my baby. Hope I can be such a great mum to my baby as well.

We will have the full month party on 10th too! my boy actual day is 15th but 15 Jan is a weekday so we bring forward to 10th.
 
i thot my lochia has stopped liao. for the pass few days, i oni have minimal brownish discharged. gynae also mention say dun see anything from my womb during the post-natal check up on wed. but some how, i have bright red discharged again these 2 days!!! should not be mensus right?? im doing TBF ma.. thot no mensus when we breastfeed?? or is it something to do wif the post natal massage? the lady push out the balance lochia out?? cos i just finish my course of massage on sat...

somebody enlighten me pls...

sigh.. u gals may think tat our own mum is definately better than MIL. but for me the case is the exact opp. My mum is not only unreasonable but sacarstic. whenever she comes by to visit.. she sure got nothing nice to say.. She haf done nothing to help for my confinement so far.. NOTHING except upset me to tears n pretend nothing happened.

Over a small disagreement.. she threaten not to attend my baby's full mth celebration lor.. she mentioned tat a few times liao.. damn sickening..!

She behaves like a MIL to me lor.
Its a long story... I somehow feels that I'm like a ill-treated DIL to her.. wahaha.. anyway she irritated us so much.. tat me n my hubby oso decided to stay away fr her.. dun give her chance to upset me anymore..

I think u are speaking like my HB. He is very sad tat his mum upset us like that too. never help in confinement ,yet say all the nonsense & called up to scold my mum. At this time, she choose to be on cold war with us. We also decided to stay away from her.

for menses, it depends on individual. I got a colleague, on TBF, but around her baby 9months, she got pregnant. Cause she kana resume her womanly cycle already. But b4 she get her menses, she already pregnant. Fast right? She is shocked cause she told TBF wun be pregnant. My mense come 1.5 months after delivery. I am partial BF then.

Sad to hear that. Actually I will quarrel with my mum also. Especially recently got baby, more argument. Somemore she is menopausing so very bad tempered.

Harbourfront never push for package too. But I din have the free voucher. I go for 1st swim. If I dun sign package, got to pay $25. If sign package, this is free. I sign only because my daughter enjoy it. If ur baby dun like, wat the point of signing it.

I would not say i quarrel with my mom juz that we both have different way and method of bringing up baby. Me n my hb alr make a pact, if any set of the grandparents does things that is not according to our way, we will tell them off straight that if it persist, we will stay away n not let u guys see ur only grandchild. Tat shuld scared them off.

Like my parents, they are so excited to see Zach that even he is sleeping, they will wake him up. Imagine how heartbroken I am to see my baby alr so sleepy yet hv to force open his eyes juz because grandpa n grandma keep asking him to..I oso understand they travelled all the way fr KL juz to see their grandchild but tat shuld not give them the reason to wake him up..all BB shuld hv sufficient sleep and when I tell them they said nvr mind.. flabbergasted man! I wanted to ask them when we were young did anyone did that to us? Will they allow it?

Fabbie, i not rich lar..the new stroller n car seat cost us $200 each nia but abit waste of money lar cos the car seat is like for infant use, which means after he is abt 2 years old, no use liao. The stroller is super light weight type, also meant for infant up to 15kg onie..

Oh ya.. Forgot to post my details.

My baby arrived on the 28th Dec 2008. Went to induce labour as doc says baby has stop growing inside me and she is very tiny in size when doing u/s scan.Induced labour failed after 12 hrs of contraction pain and end up emergency c sect. Baby has a good weight of 2.8kg though. Doc is amazingly surprised. Its a Totally traumatising labour experinece!

I was told that taking alcoholic such as wine or DOM would cause fresh bleeding. It is the remaining of the lochia being washed out of your womb. Not mense.

Hee. You are right. It depend on individual. My #1 was on TBF and I never had menses right again since I gave birth to her but strike #2 when my 1 was onli 6 months old. That y my #1 is onli 17 months and #2 is 7 weeks old. Very close in gap.

Cheer up. Dun get yourself so upset with an insensitive in-law. Remember we can't control what others can shoot off from their mouth but we can be a selective listener. (Listen to onli what you want to hear, the rest of her comment, ignore).

Take it as a blessing in disguise. At least now you have every good reason not to go to your in-law's place and an even better reason to stay away from her. In my opinion, she is utterly rude to have had shot such offensive words to your parents and she sure owes your parents and you a BIG apology. I do pity your hb having to endure his mum's unreasonable behaviour and worst of all her insanity.

i take DOM everyday. I usually take after 1 pump out the milk. And i pump out the milk again 3hrs after i take the DOM. After 3 hrs it is safe to pump out and feed baby. I called up the breastfeeding support group when i have my 1st baby. they say after 3 hrs ok liao. The alchol in the milk will not be there liao.

BTW when i have my 1st baby i wan on total EBM. My mense come on 2nd mth lei. Gynae say that not all woman wont have mense when on TBF. It all depends on individual.
 
Had my boi full mth party ytd..well..the turnup was good but i was fedup at sometimes..
Mainly due to:

1)MY FIL brought out my hb's pic and say my boi 100% resemble my hb!! So all relatives say ya..resemble my hb..n no one say anything abt ME who is the mummy...i was nvr exist in my boi's genes!

2)Pacifier: I want to coax my boi to sleep...he did not sleep for past 3 hrs..n i am using pacifier to bore him to sleep..then..my hb's room is "invard" by those youngster..playing MJ...so i got to go to my bil's room to coax him to sleep...then...those aunties come in and see him...and see i use pacifier..comment..dun use lah..later mouth crooked..then my stupid hb ask me dun use..well..he is the one ask me to use after my mum say better use..now he is the one ask me dun use!!

BIL: Did not get anything for his little nephew! Somemore 1st one!

thkx. I pump at 9.30pm, drink at 10.30pm then i pump n throw away the milk 2.5 hrs later. should b ok ba.

huh... now im still on confinement leh. if the toopid mensus really come so fast, then really damn xianz man...

when i had my 1st boi, everybody says he like photocopy of daddy, which i dun deny lo. really looks like him. me also like what u say, nvr exist in my boi's genes.. but nvr mind lo, at least confirm that's his baby. ah hahahahha

my MIL is the same as your fil. Take out my hubby photo and say how much my 1st baby resemble the daddy. I was upset then

But this time wrong, my MIL say my 2nd baby look more like me. And this time i dun really feel happy also cos after seeing my 1st boy grow up to be a handsome boy now i hope my 2nd baby resemble his bro. So both will be handsome. If look like me later not handsome hor. I told my hubby abt it then he say i think too much..haha

usually i drink once after i pump my milk. Then i will only pump again or latch baby 3 hrs more more after that. I did that for my 1st boy also. So should be fine.

how much bm should we freeze in 1 bag? After thaw how long can we keep the bm?

I have to go and manually scan my first daughter's pics in though .. haven't had the chance to do it ... during those days (in 1999) I remember digital cameras were either non-existent? or very very expensive .. can't remember which ... so my poor firstborn doesn't have any baby digital photos .. lol. all NEGATIVES ... so backdated ... heh.

freeze BM 3 to 4 oz.. but it depends on the bag normally i use. sometimes i put to 6 oz =X anyway is better to put at 4 oz. thaw im not sure forget liao. but not long for 4 - 6 hrs ba???

yours have mj all theses mine have KTV sing loud loud de. like sing getai like that haha. im not into those i prefer those quiet ones and chitchat but my PIL is like that. all sing loud loud to celebrate -___- but thnak god my gal was not disturb all the way sleep. Yes its quite irritating that your FIL took out ya hb's pic and show off to all relatives! if its me im damn angry lor. But then again my PIL everyday took me my GAL looks like my hub alot of times. then nvm now say my GAL looks liks my hub's sister. WIn liao lor. they two give birth im out of the picture.. never ever my MIL say looks like me! so sad and quite angry.

Btw do u all shake baby? i mean not shake hard hard i mean those when baby cry u shake her up and down. my PIL keep wanting to get a "yao lan" i dun wan lor. the reason they say is baby head will be very pretty and we can leave baby in the "yaolan" and not we dun need to carry. what kind of excuses. I dun wan lor. i rather carry. cus If baby get use of the "yaolan" we outside baby cry who suffer? we leh! so i hope that they wont so topid to go and get or buy a "yaolan"! but then if my baby cry normally i will pat pat her and walk walk. my PIL is shake shake(not hard) pat pat. now i realize my gal got to shake abit then she will sleep le -___- anyway Im happy im at my own house liao. muhaha but CNY i htink im going to suffer agian to stay at there weeks. arghz

you're rite ... once u do the "pat pat shake shake or bounce bounce" as I call it ... the baby become used to it .. I prefer to just quietly pat ....

quite siong leh .. when baby is heavier to shake/bounce baby ... already at 1 month old, baby is 5 kg ... that's already siong to me.

I also feel very siong having to carry my boy in the Baby Bjorn carrier almost full day as he refused to sleep in any other ways :S

Now, I feel like as though I'm lifting a ton of weight each time i have to bath him...hahaha.. although it kinda does good to my arms....hb says very define and tone now..hahaha

Wah, you gals send your baby for the swimming thingy so early?? I thot can only introduce them only after 6 mths?? I would also love to introduce my boy to swimming...btw the free trial is only via the coupon or can ask them for it?

my lochia also stopped already since a week ago (the last discharge was in yellowish) but yesterday there was some brownish red discharge again, i'm also dunno whether it's menses or not coz i'm on TBF as well... will monitor these few days & see if the charges will be getting more or not ...

heard if we'r on TBF then the menses wont be return so soon bah.. like my fren her menses only returned after 7mth but she BF for one year...

i saw the babyswimming they say 0 mths can swim liao. then since have the voucher then go and try it out lor. cus the voucher says vaild till 2 months so i brought her there! hehehe and i just bought a Tub and the neck float from a spree here! lol not sure u got visit the link anot. that time someone posted this free gift thing when u reg. from abbott then inside got those voucher de. but remember to let him sleep and eat before he go swimming. so they got strength to play.

u gal is cute ler in that swimming float, but is it comfortable or not, sekali we think it's fun but they think it's torture... wahaha!

is ur bb now being fed every 3hrs or still 2hrs interval? actually if my boy is awake then he seems like cannot tahan till 3hrs ler but me & my mum everytime also try to drag till 3hrs unless he screams like hell then i will tolerate a bit maybe feed him 2.5hrs... a bit chan ren hor..

My baby went through a growth spurt over the weekend. She was crying for milk every 1.5-2 hours, even at night! I think it may not so good to drag the feeding time. I read that babies should be fed on demand, not schedule, especiallly bf babies, since bm is digested more quickly. Also, if babies are going through growth spurts, they will need more milk. So it's really a need, not that they are being difficult. Feeding them on demand also helps bb to build trust in you, in that he knows that his needs will be met when he cries. Otherwise he may feel 'abandoned' or 'neglected'.

I know it's difficult - I just went through it myself. But must persevered okay? Jia you!

i'm trying to achive a schedule feed like 2 hrs to 3 hrs. however so far it's on-demand feed for me (which judging fm the interval is abt 1.5hrs)
I koe it's "chan ren" but i also trying to drag a little at a time to lengthen the interval..

Huh the $450 is deducted fm pymt at hosp???? no leh..i see my CPF the amt deducted is the amt for delivery only leh..
