I think panadol extra can la .. that's what I take ... sometimes I get headaches too ... think I'm tired.

sorry,haven been logging in for few days.can anyone update on the order of Milk powder...infant similac..what is the price?order from who?any min quantities?
my boy is sick...coughing and cold...but i am going back to work tml..cant look after him.sad...worried...really feel like quitting my job to take care of him..but cant find home based jobs!!!how??!!

thanks for the tips! but...
1) my boy's on tbf. i latch him on rather frequently in the day (i dun monitor the timing) think he drinks as frequent as every 2-3 hrs. but late morning he can drag till almost 4hrs!
2 & 3) he's fed on demand actually so i never try to wake him up to feed him. i'd rather sleep... BUT i think i tend to pick him up too soon cos i dun wan him to wake up my hb n girl...

i'm thinking of giving him FM for his last feed soon jus to see how long he can last... he doesn't like pacifier so i guess i have to learn to ignore his eh-ehs until it becomes unbearable! =p
there are some days where my boy sleeps very little in the day but still got energy to wake up for feeds.
anyway, think i'll jus go with the flow and stop complaining cos my hb told me off and said that i shouldn't compare cos every baby is diff... =p

i am totally so very very disgusted and irritated by the price increase.
and i have just increased my boy's intake to 5ounces.. today he puked out so much milk. i super heartache.
then the mamy poko no more promotion le.. now is back to $24 per pack. and boy is using M size which is 66pcs not the S size which has 72pcs.
Sigh how untimely!!

flour, honey n peanut butter to make play dough?? yum yum.. i think i will eat the dough instead o playing.. hahaha.... remember they have a special day for each child? it's like the place is specially reserved for them, so empty..not a single soul there when they went for ice skating!! and the trip to Disney Land..wow...17 hours of driving!!!this is my "must watch" everyday. hahaha gonna miss this when im back to office on the 16th...sob sob..

eh, my hubby and I drove 28 hours to reach Disneyworld Florida when we lived in the States a few years ago ... damn siong driving long distance ... but it's quite fun la admittedly.

Hi ladies,
I down with dengue fever hence long time never post here. Any of you got dengue b4? I feel very tired after that, worse than giving birth. I deliver naturally so by the 8th day, my lochia clear up n wound no longer pain liao. But after I discharge from hospital from dengue, till now also 2nd week, I still feel weak. But at least, I am feeling better by the day. So guess it takes time for me to fully regain to my usual self. Hate dengue!!!

My daughter also dun drink milk nowadays. She prefer cereal or puree. She is on solids for 3 weeks liao. She just turns 5 months yesterday. Plus she is teething so less appetite for milk. Hence it become guessing games, sometimes she drink, sometimes she dun drink, she prefer eat solids. So to save milk powder, we will not prepare the full amount that she usually drink. We will prepare 2oz 1st, if she drink, then we prepare another 4 oz for her to drink. But got to have helper stand-by lor. Luckily, my house 3 persons, me, hubby and my mother all know how to take care of my daughter. So can use this method. Perhaps u want to try out this method?
I am using Similac infant 1 at $39.50 now, Stage 2 is around $34. So it is much cheaper. Same for all milk powder hence just tahan till 6 months then the cost of milk powder will reduce greatly. But think Enfalac increase the price too sharply at 1 go, $3. I am keeping finger crossed that Similac dun increase price also.
Diaper price: I realise Mamy Poko always have this promotion at $21.45, just have to keep a look out. Sometimes, NTUC has the promotion 1st then follow by Giant or Sheng Xiong so dun just go to 1 supermarket to do ur marketing.
Ur bb how old? Now use M size liao. My daughter still using S size. Mamy poko S size is as big as Drypers M size hence I am sticking to Mamy Poko though it is much costly.
Cost of living: Now with the arrival of our bb, find that $ no enough. But I still want to enjoy a better life, dun want to suffer just to save the $ for our bb. So instead of cutting down on our lifestyle like going to restaurant to eat, I take out tuition assignment. But only 2 assignment, just to earn extra to cover the additional expenses that bb spend. So far, I din feel the pinch of rising cost of living yet. But downside, got to sacrifice some time during weekend to go tuition instead of keeping my daughter company. Guess in life, u gain some, u lose some.

So far so good.. Perhaps without me spreeing so much will be good. =P Maybe HB felt more pinch than me, as he is the one who always buy back all the barangs barangs.
The 1st stage of spending like all the babies necessities were spent, now are all the top up for diapers, wipes, teats, medical, formula milk, clothings which are overgrown etc.
2nd stages are coming when they start on solid. Have to buy their fresh food , crockery & " containers" to keep them & even more.
Maybe because i m on maternity leaves now, the cost of transportation & meals spent outside are so much lesser as i always eat at home & lazy to travel...
Allowance given to my mum ( care taker) also increase so much. Insurance also.
SIGH.. all need $$$

jowin, expenses really increase with baby loh, yesterday, i was just telling my hubby gotta stock up on FM stage 2 when it's on offer now, he said"wah, exp gg to increase again..." then i look at him, he said "if continue to BF, you be very xin ku" i got a lot of instalment plans in the past, lucky they all finish liao...

Jon & Kate is an american couple staying in penslyvenia(dunno how to spell. haha). as they were not able to get pregnant naturally, they went for fertility treatment, so.. end up with a sixtuplets and a pair o twins!!!! wow!!! some facts u might be interested to know, people ask kate how many boxes of cereals they consume in a year, she say they can finish 2 boxes a day!!!so 700+ boxes of cereals!!!!! abt the trip to disneyland, i can only use "wow" to describe. with 8 kids to tag along, they rent a mini bus and attached a trailer for their luggage!!!! interesting... u "wow" me too lay!!!!28hours!!!!!!with your kids too???? watch it later going to show on 11am!!!

Tell me abt the expenses going up man.. still do not feel the pinch of formula as Zach onie has 1 FM feed per day and he is wearing clothes nappy but the amt i spent on his clothes..gosh, my hb juz chided me yesterday.. i spent few hundred for his clothes at City Hall "must Zach start wearing all those brands that u bought? he's so young and will outgrow very fast leh.." but i cannot resist leh.. those pants and shirts are so cute esp at Okaidi & Obaibi @ Raffles City.. then all the spreeing which he is not aware off..i really must stop myself man..

morning ladies,
i'm having cough (with phlegm), flu, sore throat & body arching for almost a week liao... already finished all the medicine given by GP but still not recovered... very worry coz my hubby, elder boy also sick hope we won't pass the virus to him but seem diff coz i'm still latching my boy on... sometimes i do heard he cough a bit, really hope tat he wont catch the virus from us *cross my finger*...

i read from somewhere that baby waking up for nite feed is juz a habbit, not a need coz they wont feel hungry in midnite, if u really wan to train ur baby, then probably can ask ur hubby & ur gal sleep in other room... tat's why i do so won't wake up them in case baby crying... when my boy wake up & cry, i tried to giv pacifier but he dun like, nowadays worst coz he starts to picking up the habbit of sucking his tumbs... like last nite he woke up at 2.30am, i gav pacifier but he dun wan, then he tried to put both his tumb into his mouth & suck very loud *faint*... he fall back to sleep after tat& woke up only at 7am for milk...
actually i did try all the method (some advised by some mummies here) but all not work out... so this is the only method work for me to train my boy sleep thru, but really hav to bear to hear him crying, but if he really cry his lung out, i will carry him out from the cot & pat him to sleep then put back to cot again, but i still never giv him milk... u can try & see which is the best way for u laa, hopefully thing will improve very soon to u.... jia you!

Me and my bottle problem have not been resolved yet! Arrghz! Baby only willing to take bottle with nipple shield attached. To make matters worse, hubby saw me placing the nipple shield over the bottle to feed baby and ask: Wah.. ur bottle also got blocked duct ah? MAKES ME FUME!!! Haizz.. I read that Tommee Tipee bottles are great for switching fr breast to bottle, any review fr mummies here?
Painkiller: Maybe instead of panadol, mummies can try paracetamol which is considered very safe for breastfeeding mummies.

How u tell whether it's foremilk or hindmilk? For me, if I look at my refrigerated milk (in fridge for sometime liao), I can see abt 1/3 is like water... the remaining 2/3 is powdery with a layer of what seems like curds at the top.

Initially I oso did tat (i.e. baby eh eh, i quickly stuff the milk into her mouth for e middle of nite feed. Did not want her to disturb my hb sleep.) Got 1 night, she oni drank 1 oz. Then I rem sm babies may "eh eh" (for milk) then go back to zzz. So I stopped listening out for the "eh eh" and wait for her to cry then i make milk. Occassionally she will still "eh eh" in the middle of the nite then cry for milk at 5.30am. The time streched subsequently and she now wakes for milk b/w 7 to 7.30am.

My ger suddenly took a liking for her fingers too! Told my hb she having a squabble with her boyfriends (i.e. the 2 NUK tutu). She looks like the baby on the mamy poko packaging! *Faintz*

If you not buying the ones called "Panadol", rem to read the content. If not wrong, Panadol is 100% paracetamol. cos those given by GP maybe muscle relaxants or mixed with other drugs. The most common i have at home contains caffine!

Yes. i m stopping. Now still having infections on antibiotics, after that i will want to stop.. Preferably b4 me going back to work...My job quite hard to BF as i cannot have fix timing to pump. Meeting endless daily.. Spoken to HR.. HR said if i can drag till lunch ( but lunch often is my event start) & after work , is better for me..by the time is already more than 6 hrs interval... I cannot drag more than 6 hrs often.. i will easily get block n infection..
Discussed with HB yesterday.. i agreed that after baby delivery & breastfeeding.. i changed totally..Due to very lack of rest n sleep, i became very easily bad tempered n often quarelled with HB & my mum.. I get fedup very very easily. Sigh!!! Plus going back to work is another stress as my job very hectic.. Therefore, after much consideration , decided to give up BF. HB supported that i have stored enough Frozen EBM.. better than none..Though i m still very guilty towards my baby.
Yes. i m stopping. Now still having infections on antibiotics, after that i will want to stop.. Preferably b4 me going back to work...My job quite hard to BF as i cannot have fix timing to pump. Meeting endless daily.. Spoken to HR.. HR said if i can drag till lunch ( but lunch often is my event start) & after work , is better for me..by the time is already more than 6 hrs interval... I cannot drag more than 6 hrs often.. i will easily get block n infection..
Discussed with HB yesterday.. i agreed that after baby delivery & breastfeeding.. i changed totally..Due to very lack of rest n sleep, i became very easily bad tempered n often quarelled with HB & my mum.. I get fedup very very easily. Sigh!!! Plus going back to work is another stress as my job very hectic.. Therefore, after much consideration , decided to give up BF. HB supported that i have stored enough Frozen EBM.. better than none..Though i m still very guilty towards my baby.

thanks for the advice. the prob is i dun have extra room already. my parents in another room, one more room is computer room. unless i sleep outside with my boy (which sometimes i do when he wakes up non-stop). y'day he woke up at 2, 4 & 6am, suckle for about 15mins then fall asleep again. haiz...
looks like i have to try all the methods first...

Jo, so in these few days try to pump every 3 hours so that u can get more milk stashed away for Ashlynne..I do agree that u looked tired after ur delivery and not to mention u always get blocked ducts.. not in ur shoe but i got once i alr sian halfway liao, i cannot imagine how u felt.. but kudos lar, u alr got milk stashed for ur daughter till June/July liao.. is more than good liao leh. Give urself a good pat and take the remaining weeks to pamper urself. Go facial, go mani pedi go out wif hb to get back to romance..though me n hb will nvr go out alone anymore (he dun wanna leave baby wif my parents and I do not want to leave baby wif his parents even more..haha)

well well well, i cannot agree more dat BB increase our exp greatly! with Kasia's BBsitter fee, insurance, FM, diapers and misc, i was telling HB the other day dat we could easily afford another car! haha... but dats the trade-off, in exchange of our BB's lovely smile, coo-ing and occassional tantrums! ;D

Me oso. I have no patience for my baby, etc. I lost my temper 2 to 3 times last week (refuse to talk to hb and spent time "banging" all the kitchen cupboard doors when I closed them!). I was so tired after pumping, still got to feed baby and there are endless number of bottles (due to pumping) to wash! Now tat I move to IL's place, my mood btr. I guess the support fr my MIL really priceless.

Emeraldbride: I am really desperate, will try to adjust baby slowly. Skally next time when she adapted bottle feeding, she will hate my boobs and I have to put bottle teat over my boobs for her to suck.. whahhaa..
