today is a very busy day oh...

Jowin just delivered her baby girl.. her water bag burst this morning.. baby ashlynne is 3.54kg..

Tara inducing today n Kath too.. keke..

i din sleep whole nite.. coz my right breast is very very tender to touch.. i really wonder why.. move also pain.. leave it alone also pain....

seems like a lot of mummies delivered much earlier than their EDD...

and i oso realised that some of u still being served for meal while in delivery suite waiting for labour?? i remember last time (my first labour) tat once i admitted to hospital, i was not allowed to eat & not even drink water, only can sip tat's y i got no energy to push after 'suffer hunger' for more than 12 hrs... argh!!!

My breasts are itchy oso , around the aroela, but I clean it with boiled water, ok liao and I applied some lucas paw paw cream as well.

Congrats to the mummies who have just pop, alot of things to do after that.

I went out 3 times so far during my confinement, went to TMC to fetch my daughter on the 5th day coz she got jaundice have to stay one more day, 2nd time was to bring her back to TMC for normal chk up and 3rd time was yesterday , went NTUC to buy groceries and bb stuffs. Make sure I wear warmly and chop chop buy things lor. Will definitely go to salon nearing to the end of my confinement to get hair wash etc...
 
i juz went for my so called 'last' check up yesterday (already 39wk+1day) & gynae perform VE for me but only 1cm dilated, so i was informed that if my bb still dun come out on my due date (10Dec) then i hav to straight check in into labour ward on 11Dec early in the morning for induction... really hope that my bb will come out before EDD

btw, recently (these 2 wks in fact) i encountered heavy clear dicharge, sometime very sticky type but sometimes very watery until i mistakenly tot that it was leaking of amniotic fluid... anyone also experience the same??

Luvudeepdeep - Ya, my gynae also told me no food and drink once admitted. I wonder if i will hv strength to push.. dun wanna end up Emergency C-sect..

Mrs Ho, Congrats! Wah got blood stain u still can rush back to malacca? Hehe! Yours seems to be an easy birth wor.. take care and have loads of rest with BB eason!
 
fong2: so we die die must get something to eat b4 admitted to hospital, even it's in the middle of the nite coz dun think can buy food in hospital if u go in midnite or early morning...

btw if i really need to go for induction on 11Dec, i hav to check in at 6.30am ler... walao so early dunno McBreakfast start already or not!

me 5 more days to go... waiting n waiting!!
 
Luvudeepdeep - Oh ya, better eat first hor.. Mac breakfast starts fr 4am.. think better hv it before else confinement cannot eat le.. :p If i induce on 10th, and u on 11th, hey i can visit u leh..

Ivy, after the first epi, do you feel any pain during the push and stitching as no more anesthesia by then? I heard the most painful part is the moment the baby came out. Is it true?

Theres a frd of mine in my email told me that our itch may due to like stretching breast. cus we produce milk so when our breast stretches it tense to be itchy. just like our tummy like that. So cannot really sratch alot.. if not will get stretchmakrs. Hmm duno how true it is leh. but i try not to sratch.
 
during the push actually no pain....dont even know that doctor did cut. when stitching i can feel..but it is not painful.i think my timing was just right....epidural was enough for me to last for the labour...me and baby will be leaving today.

what must we do in KKH to register for baby and the bonus?

I bought the cream on the bulk purchase thread, dunno they still have anot. From Australia made from Papaya. I find that it's not the stretching leh, coz mine got small red dots one, think is bb saliva and all the heat , milk lah etc.... tat cause the itch, so I clean with cool boiled water lor, quite effective after cleaning
 
fong2: yaya can visit each other if both we really overdue &amp; hav to induce... hehe!

but i still hope bb can come out early ler, scared of induction ler, heard very pain... i already requested &amp; booked for my anaethetist liao lor, very kiasu.. hehe
 
fong2: i oso din noe can book... but yesterday my clinic asked if i prefer any anaethetist or not coz if yes they will book for me on the day of induction, so i said ok lor... heard this anaethetist is very popular one wor &amp; he works very closely with my gynae... anyway i forgot his name

but dunno in the event i pop earlier, i can still get him to perform epi for me or not... anyway nvm also la, so long as i got my epi i dun really care who does it for me...

ya me also have watery discharged. almost everyday. but im not too worry cos it oni a bit n will dry up. so i dun think it's leaking of ammniotic fluid. if it's AF, i think will keep leaking ba..
 
mum2ndx: my watery discharge quite heavy one until i can feel when it flows out (tat's y sometimes i tot it was AF)... so i hav to keep on changing panty liner, else undies will get wet!

anyway it is clear &amp; w/o odour so i think should be alrite bah..

Wah my below still so pain! yday go see gynea they give me a cream to put below. seriously i dare not put at all. its so pain and pokey! T___T i wonder when will heal?! i heard that the very pain it is.. = drying up and healing soon!
 
Hi all, my baby popped yesterday afternoon.
I didn't use epidural cause i ask for it too late... hahaha, i tried the laughing gas, but it's smelly &amp; didnt really work, then ask for pethidine, which makes me really drowsy, was sleeping in btwn my contraction, keep telling th4e nurses i very tired and needed to sleep, when i ask for epi about 2hours later, nurse said i was already 8-9cm dilated. so i didnt use it. Was doing deep breathing throughout cvontraction and i find that it really works for me, every contraction for me was about 8 counts. so i just keep telling myself to keep counting to 8 and the pain will stop. perhaps the others MTB would like to try my method too?

Thanks for sharing on the breathing technique. So TMC actually offers pethedine? I am thinking of using that cos it actually makes u drowsy so u can zzz for a bit through the contractions... Did you still feel sleepy when u were pushing?

i tot i'll be too sleepy, tired &amp; no strength to push..but my hubby say i got strength...my Dr. &amp; hubby say i can still chat with the Dr, when i am not pushin &amp; waitin for contraction

sounds good to me. Cos I read online that pethedine can actually cross into bb's blood n make bb drowsy (but can be reversed via an injection of drugs). Oso may cause the mother to get over drowsy! So I guess I can ask the nurses when it's my turn... :p Cos i dun wan to use epidurial lah...

my gynae also Dr Normal. Actually i hope htat he can induce me next wk when i am into my wk37. Cos i find very tired and xinku as i can feel contraction daily lei. Tmr will go for my wk37 check up dunno he agree for me to induce anot.

u r right, pethidine does make the bb sleepy, but she seems very alert when she's out, but had been sleeping after that.

really uh? Is it normal to sleep after that? were u able to latch her on successfully? Cos i dun wan the bb to sleep before i have a chance to latch her on leh... :p
 
hi hi.. hv to post via my pathetically small iPhone. delivered tis morning via c sect.

An uneventful op which I thank God for... Zach was awesome!! he stopped crying the moment I carry him or when I sing to him.

tried latching him, he fell asleep but my breast still empty.. colostrum oso NIL. haha.. hopefully will b better later.

Zach is 2.745kg at birth and 50cm in length.. hehe

COngrats! Great to hear dat u have a smooth delivery and BB Zach is doing good. dat means u sing alot to BB Zach when he is in yr tummy rite, dats y he recognises yr singing and finds it soothing to stop crying =)

B'Free bottles:
i need advice: i was toying with my new Avent and B'Free bottles juz now and realise dat for B'Free Plus bottle, the instruction manual note that we have to ensure the "Slit" (on ventilation cap) has to be "open", does dat mean we have to poke a small hole or cut a big hole on the slit? Anyone using/used B'Free Plus bottles cab advise me?

i bought a tube of "medela purelan100" cream for standby. it's supposed to soothe sensitive or sore nipples, not sure if it will help itchy aroela. but my fren swear by it, so i buy lor. it's $9.10, i bought mine at Robinson but i think u can get from Mothercare, Metro, OG or big pharmacies ba.

yipe. still throwing up on n off. tried applying oil on him n it seems to be slightly beta. tink his tummy is still pretty distended since birth.

now he has prob latching so gotta pump to feed him. can montitor his intake oso.
