Yup. The Home Favourites Durian mooncake is berry nice. Not as sweet and much more flavour then Goodwood. I recommended many frenz and they all start buying Home Favourites iso Goodwood. This year I bot the Gold Durian mooncake. Super yummy! Last year had the Black Duian mooncake - also nice. This year, my gals kept asking and asking for it.

That doctor is sssooo insensitive! He should not hv made such remarks. Really uncalled for. As a mommy, we will definately be worried for our babies. He should have been more understanding and explain the various early intervention programs that is available. How can he just brush it off and say nothing much can be done? Terrible service!

eh... KKH mah.. -_- govt hospital service!!!
Anyway sometimes i really wonder how some can b fit to b a doc.. tt day i went to company doc for my cough and sorethroat.. e usual ones tt i go for are all not around, ony 2 i've never heard of before so i told e nurse i'm fine to see either.. Turned out to b a male in his 30s or early 40s.. wah.. look even more sick and tired than me.. v bochap attitude.. in e end 3mins gao dim i'm out of the room.. sibey easy to earn money..

But the doc did mentioned to ask me to bring D for speech theraphy sessions and also let D be assessed by a psychologist. now I'm wondering whether I should really go for it as it will be very taxing financially and also time consuming too. my next appt with this doc is next year Feb. by then, I hope that D can prove that he is just slow and not like wat the doc says 'borderline autistic'.

Agree with the insensitivity of the dr. I may be biased after one very unpleasant experience in KKH, but I really think some of the doctors and nurses in KKH needs some training in this area. Just becos KKH is a govt hospital doesn't mean we deserve to be handled without tact, especially when one's medical condition is concerned!!

Aiyohz... lousy doctor! After studying sssoo many years of study, come out be doctor and totally lacking in 'bedside manners'. Dunno what these medical schools are teaching the new doc's. I also got experience of those young punk doctors who are downright arrogant and rude or simply boh chap and talk to me like I'm a dumb 'lil gal. *aarrgghh* sometimes feel like slapping their face.

Let him interact more with peers his age. He could just be slower then others in this area but will catch up later? As for the psychologist, you monitor first from now till end of year. If by then, no significant improvement, can consider sending for the assessment. *good luck babe*

momummy: did you go to polyclinic and ask for referrel letter before you go to KK? i did.. and usually for the walk in customer consulation fee is 65. i paid for 25 only. and the recently CDU consulation fee for walk in is 129.90 the last time i think in sept i went. i paid only 30 bucks. very great different with susidies. the workshop for me and my husband suppose to pay 65 dollars. we are going for free. if we didn turn up it will be charged for.

Am still in KKH and will be discharged tomorrow morning.
Basically, I came for my checkup yesterday afternoon. Gynae did a check and found me 3cm dilated. No contractions though. She adviced me to go for delivery as she is concerned that if I go home, dilation may be too quick later on and I may not make it back to KK in time.
Was then sent to the delivery suite to prepare for delivery. They broke my waterbag at 3pm and started me on oxytoxin drip to bring about contractions. Fully dilated at 6pm and pushed baby out at 6.22pm.
Both my son and I are doing well but he's a sleepy baby. Everytime need to wake him for feeding as he prefers sleep to feeding. LC warned that my milk supply is likely to come in early (already have lots of colostrum) and I need to take care and massge well to prevent blocks.

If u go to the kovan gym with Yen, can I also take N along? Playdate, I also keen. I'm not planning to send N to any school unless I return to work full-time. So any playdates would be good for N.
I know u work, so only can come on weekends, but the pool here always very crowded on weekends one. I don't like. My gals only swim on weekdays.

I was thinking to go after I read RCB's activites 2wks back in SMH. Last night, I saw the excursion slip in my boy's cc com book to go to a gym called Boucing Kids in Kovan on children's day afternoon. I guess should be referring to the same gym. I luv to join u and G. Do u mind going on 1 Oct afternoon cos u gotta take 1/2 day leave? Think most CCs are closed on Children's Day.

yes, attend CC will risk falling sick... I think unless u can find 1 cc where they do not allow kids to enter when they are having cough and running nose too. Coz just barring kids with Fever is not enough. Many parents still send their kids to CC eventhough when they are coughing with phelgm and running nose. That's why the germs keep spreading. Its a tough situation as some parents really have no one to look after their kids. I think there is a need for our government to implement a more "pro family" policy to ALL employers. Eg, work from home.... child MC, higher amt of baby bonus so that 1 parent can stop working until kid goes kindergarten or primary school!!! etc (think not many MNCs offer child MCs except govt agencies).

I think if only PG hor...really no valid reason why they still send their kids to the PG session is having cough or running nose. Becoz this means they have someone to look after the child during office hours. hiaz.. but i guess take it that as the saying goes...when they fall sick, will build up their immune system... hope this is true.

For the whole wk, Lucas has been having difficulty to sleep and also wakes up in the middle of the night cos he very pek chek tt he cant hug his 'flat' bolster. For the whole wk, he has been crying in the middle of the night and wake up very early.

Aiyohz... I'm sssoo angry today! Yesterday my maid dare to argue with my dad and even slammed my drawers in my kitchen and stare at him! My dad scolded her cos never followed his instructions and she dare to lose her temper. After that my mom stepped in and the matter was temporarily resolved. My mom and dad then decided to go out and bring baby to go buy groceries. Who knows, when they about to go back my place, they tried calling and calling my house for nearly an hour and the maid never pick-up the call. My mom starting to suspect and worry why she never pick-up the call. When they get home, hah! My maid is not in the house! She only came back nearly 1/2 hour later. When they questioned her, she dared to answer back that she went out of the house to meet other maid. Can even lie and say she went out for less then 15-mins. Of all things, I'm now back in Batam. Trying to rush back SG to settle this stupid maid thingy today!

ah yen, ah kash: ya. i think my tried & tested route of 2 yrs kindy then 2 yrs childcare w kai quite workable so i dowan to disturb tt plan
but one thing is tt kids who go to childcare early tend to develop immunity to infections faster. e.g. BBQ & jenn's felicia.

Haiz... I went thru that 3x wor. Everytime I preggie, my MIL will hint she wants a boy. Then each I give birth and cos it's a girl, she never bother - no visits to hospital, no herbs & tonics, nothing from her. Till today she also can't be really bothered about my gals. Then cos 2 of my SIL's just got married, she's now rushing them to give birth. Say she wants to carry grandchild! WTH!! Then wat are my girls? Outsiders?

Haiz... I went thru that 3x wor. Everytime I preggie, my MIL will hint she wants a boy. Then each I give birth and cos it's a girl, she never bother - no visits to hospital, no herbs & tonics, nothing from her. Till today she also can't be really bothered about my gals. Then cos 2 of my SIL's just got married, she's now rushing them to give birth. Say she wants to carry grandchild! WTH!! Then wat are my girls? Outsiders?

My mother received t same treatment as u, after giving birth to 2 girls. She went to temple to pray for a boy. Lucky for her to eventually get a boy in t end. BUT, if she had experienced tis prejudice before then she shd know how bad it is to being 'look down' right?
I was disturbed by my mum's comment. Ironically, after that, i told myself I will not do anything special to choose the gender of my next child. If I did, then it turn out to be opposite, then that child will become like an 'unwelcomed' child. No No. How sad will it b to know that you r not preferred, right?
And how will K feels it she finds out that her beloved mummy and grandma actually prefer boys? It will be v hurting

haiz.. zhong nan qing nu... now i have 2 boys and ppl already start asking me bout #3 & to try for gal... -_-" cant choose gender already fated to have boys.. with SG living standard. kids are so exp! and one ting i have to bring out.. who can help to take care our kids!! one maid already cant cope with 2! less to say 3.. i told ev one if only dio toto. i may consider. hahaha... & the chances are slim becos i dont buy toto.. now even 4d oso nv! haha..
ur maid so daring.. dare to step out of the house... my maid always like to defend herself also.. i regard it as talk back.. but with my temper. i usually will just explode & scold her upside down. lolz... i dun tink we are able to find a perfect maid.. so i rather stick to it til one day i dun need her at all & kick her off. kaka.. than got another maid to teach all over again & face the same problem..

I don't think it is about others wanting boys. Coz if you have 2 girls, pple will ask u to try another for a boy...If you have 2 boys, pple will ask you to try for a girl.... so not that boys are better than girls I feel.

actually i personally encountered some "not very pleasing" experiences when i was carrying my boy...even thou we brought our parents & ILs to gynae appts & gynae also revealed the gender and even "point" to them but FIL can still ask at the point of my delivery the gender, hence when I was carrying my #2, i did not reveal the gender to anyone except my hubby & colleagues knew...

yes, bcoz when i was carrying my #1, he's the 1st grandchild frm both families & considering the fact that during our parents' times, they hardly hv chance to do much scannings..so i made arrangement to bring along both my parents & my ILs to let them take a look at the 1st grandchild..
so my gynae also "showed" my FIL the gender pointing at the screen lo..yet can still ask or rather dbl-chk abt gender when hubby phoned back his mum to deliver the good news i have popped then in 2006..hoho..so in 2008 when i was carrying Brod..his gender is only made known to my hubby & my colleagues..lol..

i told hubby if anyone is curious, can call me anytime to ask...no one did & it was only upon birth that my hubby showed the video on nurse cleaning up Brod that they got to know the gender..dun learn frm me la..lol..
