(2008/11) November 2008

I think the health booklet also can.
T PD will 'chop' stamp everytime he gives t child a jab right

BTW, is pneumococcal and MMR required to enter CC?

i give paracetomol if bb temp hit above 37.5 degree..

i still have one more pneumococcal & 1 MMR jab... July is his nex jab... realise the bigger they are, they more they cannot tahan jab... cry like no body biz.. whereas infant... no reaction... -_-

wtan, 不要生气了 ok
Since Brod has taken t jab liao, then nothing can b done. N taking t jab now doesn't mean its bad.
I know how u feel... U felt u lost t control and ppl r not listening to your instructions carefully?

Jo,
My boy oso the same. On the 4th day nite after MMRV jab, he had high fever and fake measles.

Liv,
Hmm..Why got difference? My PD says 2 jabs for >1yr and <2yrs so my boy got 2 jabs instead of 1.
Different practise bah.

Jes,
Thanks. Mayb i ask on his chickenpox booster jab next mth.

Lilian,
I guess cc will need to see and make sure jabs are done.

Mummies,
Then next visit is when after all the jabs are taken? 2-3yrs? Cos i see health booklet next assessment is 2-3yrs then follow by 4-6yrs.
Make sure your doc update the gov from the below web..
http://www.nir.hpb.gov.sg/nir/eservices/eservice.jsp

nut, since pneumococcal is compulsory jab now perhaps it will be a requirement for CC liao?

i'm meeting a CC manager 2mrw, shall ask her this.

nickname
thank u mummies for the feedback. think i shld quickly change myself to call her the real name.

brushing teeth
i hav been using the my first teeth toothpaste with the finger brush since she is 6mth old.

Hello mummies.

Nice weather... Never gets chance to log in cos super busy. #1 is in tantrum mode.

Darlest,
Nice photo. Meaningful trip as it constantly remind us how blissful and fortunate we are.

Wtan,
Cool.. what done cannot be undone. At least your hubby still bring him to jab. Mine, not even once and he has totally no ideas what jabs both kids took and they serve what purpose. Anyway, he said he cant comfort them after jab.
sad.gif
So yours is already doing a very good job.

Peanut,
Mine is the opposite. When i wanted to give MMR, doc kept promoting booster jab. I insist I want to give MMR, she still make me sign a form that I've been inform of all risk involved. That was in pte clinic. This time #2, in polyclinic, no issues

Yen,
For #1 (pte clinic)
We were given a cert that child has been immused against MMR.
For #2 (polyclinic)
Was given a cert that she had completed all the necessary jab and they list the jabs with the date taken, signed and stamped.

For #1 case, her records for MMR was not updated with MOH and they requested me to fax the MMR cert to them.
For #2, her all jabs were totally not updated and I was told to fax a copy of her jab record to them.

Olwen,
Can R contribute some fats to my Q2. Hehehe

Lilian,
I was just telling my hubby abt the $$ issues with kids over the weekend.
Anyway personally I think I will just give them $$ for education and a personal saving account meant for their dowry. The rest I will put it in my bank. Anyway I have make my will that in the event I dies, the $$ will goes to them.

Yen,
I thought ur boy took MMRV? Why still bring him for chickenpox booster jab?

darlest,

Darlest,
Yah... I bot the silk mineral protein. Dunno... maybe culd be my shampoo is those organic type, so the protein din work well. The lady selling the silk protein told me she will buy the shampoo I'm using and do a test. Then update me. I'm still waiting for her reply.

My J3 is using Pigeon body wash now. So far so good. I like the fragrance. Nice baby shower smell. heheheh... But for weekends, we use Blvgari Mama petite. Super nice and long lasting fragrance.

Wtan,
Dun worry yah. Should be ok taking the MMR jab. Aiyohz... man are generally like that. Selective listening. But then again, tink also maybe cos the nurse is the one who suggest it that's why your hub went ahead with the MMR jab? Cos he probably tinks better to follow the nurse instructions instead.

Yen,
The docs won't give any cert after completing all the necesary vaccinations. They will just 'stamp' the clinic name and date the jab is taken on the Health Booklet. When registering for CC or Primary school, they will ask for this page of the health booklet.

Jo,
Yes, my boy took MMRV which I tot jab1 @ 15mths then 2nd MMRV @ 4-6yrs old. But my PD says need to bring for chickenpox booster jab (after 6mths => 21mths) then take MMR @ 6+ yrs (P1) cos school may not have MMRV jab.
Poor Lucas.

Nut,
Try adding some rock sugar to ling yang to make it slightly sweet.

Yen,
The jabs are so confusing. I think every PD have their own recommendation and have different no. of jabs for each type. I shall juz follow one PD and follow what he says.

I decided to withdraw Lucas now from My First Skool. They will charge the min. 12 days and refund mi the balance of the first mth fee and deposit I have paid for. In all, I juz paid for $70+ for registration and 12 days sch fee. But if I choose to withdraw after the two weeks trial period, I will need to give a month notice else I wont get back deposit.

lilian,
I will slowly look for one. Previously, urgently wanna settle him him childcare cos my mum will be unable to take care of him for two mths from Jul onwards. But seeing that he quite like the new maid, so I can juz leave him at home with the maid for the time being.

My previous maid who vomit blood one ... Lucas dislikes her and often beat her ... but Lucas will keep call my new maid whenever he sees her and willing to let her bath and feed him.

Jo,
Yes, the jabs are confusing. I guess have to trust the PD. I heard from another colleague PD's also recommend 1 jab for Pneumococcal after 1 yr old but mine is 2 jabs. Diff PD diff recommendation.

dymples,
Yes, the clinic chop the clinic name and date for each jab. What I know is the clinic I go will also issue the cert after completion and update moh.

peanut,
Maybe he knows tt maid is a sick person n will make daddy n mummy come out with money for her illness so beat her up! Haha.

PD was out for conference for a week since last nite. Made a wasted trip. So went back to GP opp our hse. Luckily Lucas is only having a viral infection that causes two ulcers so far, few red spots on the legs and mouth, fever, cough and runny nose. Certainly he is sick now but glad that its not HFMD.

morning mommies!
Jo, glad it is nt HFMD!

Maybe u can let Lucas drink coke lol... :p

Morning Mommies

Hi Lilian: You make a will so early already!! Wow… I am now taking a dip course on enrichment courses for pre-schooler and TESOL. Now I am doing Speech and Drama module. Wanted to take re-educate myself and also my language is not very strong. The course work is quite tedious but the lesson is very interesting and I enjoyed myself a lot. Not the assignment thou.

Hi Jo: Sign of relieve that Lucas is not suffering from HFMD. That’s a horrible virus.

Yesterday, I brought En En to Agape Little Uni @ Serangoon to look see. It is very new; you can feel the floor still quite dusty due to the renovation and the smell of paint. The premises is quite big, has 2 floors (1st and basement) and fully air-con. For the play group it is on the 1st floor but pretty small area. 2 main teachers and 1 assistant teacher to 12 students, one of their selling point cause the principle was saying that MYSE standard is 1 teacher to 8 students ratio but there is 1:6.

However, I didn’t like it. Firstly, because the premise is fully air-con and playgroup room is beside infant care room. 2ndly, the flights of stairs to basement, is long and pretty scary and playgroup will have to head down every morning for the gym. 3rdly, the playgroup area very small and the toilet bowl used for tots is too high for them. 4thly: When ask how the teacher and parent communications, principle just state that there is a communication booklet and if parent need to call teacher there is certain timing. Not very proactive and communication should not be based only on a booklet.

Lastly: The fee is very steep for what they are offering. $650 after grant, $950 without grant.

Next, going to check out Zoophonics. Any mommy here have experience with this school.

Lucia, is snnowy who made her will, not me
happy.gif

Need ur help can? Can tell me wat r t things to take note of when visiting the CC, and wat qns to ask t principle. I m gog to visit one tmr.

Good Morning Mommies,

Lucia,
The Agape at CCK is quite well know for it's curriculum. Always have positive feedback. For me, I'd prefer fully air-con CC as my gal is scared of getting hot. Tink the Toddlers group is beside the infant care room due to segregation away from the older children? Actually hor, I'd prefer my tod to be near smaller children versus being next to the big boys ang gals as those bigger children can be quite rough and run about. May knock into the toddlers and quite dangerous when the older ones have 'rough' play. Especially the boys.

As for the communication part, it is quite normal to communicate with the teachers and school via booklet. For calling the school, most CC's will encourage us to call only between 12.30pm and 2.30pm as that is the children's rest time and the teachers will be more 'free' to answer the phone. Fees wise... this is getting to be the norm as well. Only the low end CC's will charge lower fees.

After sending my 3 gals to CC's, and having experience with nearly 6 CC's to date, the above is my experience yah.

Had a weird dream last nite.. went to this many in 1 big big huge spa which includes massage, hair salon, nail salon, restaurant and in e end stil found out there's a child care centre in there! All in one! Wah if spore really got such spa then good lei, provided its affordable as well.. -_-

Yawn... really need to shut my big bad mouth in future.. Jus yest i mentioned my gal had a good nite sleep? Last nite was horrible! woke up almost every 1 hr cry cry cry.. pek chek lei!!

Yen,
Oic... but for my 2 older gals, I did not receive any cert after completing the jabs. But I know the clinic will update MOH everytime they go for their vaccinations.
happy.gif

Pneummoccocal Vaccination,
That time my PD was also advising me. There is 2 versions of this vaccine. One from America and another duuno from where... cannot remember liaoz. But if I remember correctly, the American version got 1 additional jab. So for those babies above 18-months, American version is 2 jabs. Then the normal pnuemmoccocal jab is only 1. Hope my info is correct...

Bear.. can help to clarify?

Jo,
Thank goodness Lucas is not having HFMD. That is one nasty virus cos the ulcers in the mouth can make eating really unbearable.

Peanut,
Waahhh... if got such a spa will be good leh. I sure will go lah. Cos can put my gals into the CC for people to take care... I can then 'enjoy' my massage in peace. *lolz* Also not scared hub will start nagging.

Oh dear... then you must be super duper tired now. What happen?? Why was she crying every hour? Is nini feeling ok?

dymples
me also wish got such spa.. but even if there is, in spore sure damn exp one.. i've been to something like that (but minus e child care) in china and its damn huge and e price is damn affordable so feel a bit like queen in inside..
Fyi, there's a big spa somewher in Aljunied/Kallang.. everything in 1 as well.. tink call G.spa.. but not cheap lor.. tink for massage service $128 above u get free entrance to use other facilities like jacuzzi, movie, suana etc.. and got free food as well

Jo
sure not HFMD ah cos u mentioned some rashes? If not then best.. Actually for HFMD its not e rashes that bother cos understand they dun itch at all.. Its a damn ulcers in e mouth

peanut,
Its only a few red spots which doc says is due to the viral infection. He says there are different kind of viral infection and for this, it causes ulcer and the red spots. And so far we found two ulcers only.

Lilian,
Not family custom. It's more of a Daddy's wish as wedding pressie to them bah.
My aunt gave all her 3 children 50k each as wedding gift.

Jo,
Lucky it's not HFMD. But all sick baby will be cranky esp he is having ulcer. Bear with him
happy.gif

Peanut,
I thought you only mentioned to us here abt her good sleeping habbit and not in front of her? Maybe it's the cool weather yesterday.

Snnowy,
Wah seh... I also wish got 50K for wedding prezzie leh. Sadly no such custom in my family. hahahah...

Peanut,
Really got big big spa yah. Must go check it out. Haiz... totally agree. Spa in SG chrg sky high prices. That's why they will use the package tactics and entice' you to sign on. But after all the spa closures me dun dare to sign on liaoz.
