Peanut, u try the soap method and see how lor.. wat brand is ur fish oil pills? mine is only 1cm big leh. From Neurogain...

We cut the cake before our first march in, when the guests were milling abt outside the ballroom. they were hungry so cut liao they can eat before the banquet started. my guests ate abt 80% of the cake and i think there is still some leftover in my mum's fridge now. must throw it away. suppose to eat it on our 1 yr wedding anniversary but cakes without brandy cannot keep too long.
 


its dhaxtra. how come urs so small, is it capsule or pill type? Mine is the capsule type with oil inside.

Peanut, my Obimin prenatal vit is 2cm long and the fish oil is def smaller. i wonder if u can go to any pharmacy and ask if they have more managable capsules for u to take. if the amt isn't enough then u can take 2 pills a day? mine is the capsule type, like evening primrose oil.

Hui, this wedding cake is not the same one as the hotel provide lah.. hahha... this one is the separate one i bought. those in hotels usually fake one or only the last tier can be eaten.
 
Yo ladies tks for info on chicken pox : ) check with gynae she say, from 20 weeks till 1 week before delivery is safe. Most critical is down with CP within 1 week of delivery, high chance bb will have complication. The 2 nurse was giggling when I ask her that...dont noe y so funny.

Bear when did u marriage? cake can keep that long meh? yr guest eat the cake before 1st march, then u never cut cake har?

My gal 1st year old also have grand celebration..heehee, my cake also from pinegarden, I love their tripe layer choco...my 6o guest finish all my 3kg cake.

Coming June is her 2yrs old birthday...nowheadache planning for her party..but is a small one, only her little frez.

Pine gardens cake designs, taste and workmanship are MUCH better than Cake Avenue.

I ordered a cake last year from them and they could not even space the dots on the cake correctly! The fondant was also spread very unevenly, could see parts of brown (chocolate) beneath the fondant. Would not recommend it if you have high expectations... and if you ask them to shape the cake after a cartoon character, it will not look anything like the picture...

cake avenue's workmanship is quite poor, their sales staff also can't really be bothered. toss up between Pine and Avenue, Pine beats them hands down.

pine garden's lychee martini flavor are very popular, i also choose lychee martini and triple choc flavour for my son's 1st birthday, very yummy hor. Now feel like eating liao, drooling..

Congrats to all mummies who know their bb gender. Just went for my check up yesterday but baby not in a good position so gynae unable to tell. Disappointed

I also choose to have epi c-section because I want hubby to witness the birth of our baby and hear her 1st cry (It so touching). Recovery is much better and I can latch her on 45 mins after the operation. She is so used to being latch on, I'm still breast feeding her now

is it the nerogain BP brand?think can get it from watson at cheaper price..usually gynae will mark up a little to earn..hee..but nvr nvr eat the fish oil aft taking prata..the taste is gross esp when u burp.. *yucks*

ah..u might wnt to prevent those food that can cause allegy..ya..calamine lotion is gd too..i just had some itchy rash ard my breasts &amp; also right shoulder...so i also applied some of my #1's calamine lotion..seems to ease the itch somehw..haha...

hi mummies..have a question regarding swimming floats for babies from 2 mths - about 6 mths, what type of swimming flats can we use? Those that has 2 holes and can place BB feet in, or do we have to use neck floats..? Little confused.

morning all..

Went for my scan late afternoon.. BB very naughty. Open and close legs so many times...kicking here and there..Gynae cant managed to get a clear view.. so sad... so now.. cant confirm mickey or minnie. Have to wait for next month. SOB SOB. BB measured 11.4cm (16 weeks). Weight gained for me is around 2.5kg..

peanut00, Congrats. U need to eat more ah.. u are smaller in size than me..

Peanut> i not tall oso.. around 1.57m nia. haha.. &amp; now shld be 47-48kg.. so much heavier than u. only scare by 5th -6th mth we'll start to balloon!!

keke.. i shorter than u.. my this #2 not as active as #2 leh.. #1 i eat alot frogleg then when week 12 i feel kicking once then week 16 i can feel alot of kicking liao.. this #2 i nvr eat any frogleg till now like ai mai ai mai.. so far onli feel movement not more than 5 times.. duno wat bb doin inside..
 
.... gosh i tink i'm the shortest and skinniest among all!! doc asked me to drink 2 glasses of milk daily, it helps to put on weight.

btw, in case any of you suffering from nasal congestion due to the pregnancy, i tried the Breathe Right Nasal Strip last night and it does help to some extent.
 
peanut> ya. milk will help to put on weight de. esp u drink it ev night. for me, i cannot drink too much milk or soya milk. will get gastric easily. haiz... afraid not enough calcium intake nia.

can i ask what are ur plans when ur number 2 arrives? who looks after jovial now? Will u get a maid? I very headache now coz thinkg expenses sure will go high high. I am thinking to get a maid to help my mum... then i have to still pay my mum (monthly now is $800 to look after my gal). So when number 2 comes, I still have to send number 1 to good childcare...thats like 3 types of expenses, Childcare, Maid, my mother... Headache

Fish Oil - actually why do u need to take fish old...all we need is the DHA right? So juz need to take DHA tablets direct. The one I am taking from GNC got no fish taste at all. It is prescribed by the gynae but u can also buy direct from GNC...
 
hui, your #2 probably very comfortable sleeping inside...hee... week 12 can feel kicking already meh? I felt some movement at times, dont noe if its bb moving...

During my first three months whenever i ate frogleg, at night i will broke out in cold sweat and shivers badly. Then the next morning I will have spotting so I'm very scared to eat frogleg now ; )
 
what do you girls think of soft toys for bb? is it advisable to let bb play with soft toy at such a young age? what type should i avoid buying?

peanut00, Dr Wong reminded me to take 2 glasses of milk too.. Did she gave u any fish oil to take? She changed my multi vit to sugar coated type cos i puke whenever i took the usual pink tablet..

I rather not eat supplements at all! My doctor gives me Vitamin C, neogobion (i think is iron pills-doctor says my blood not enough), fish oil, calcium tablet, Obimin and folic acid. Altogether 6!!! Really really scared! Anybody mama out there also like me? eat so many supplements?

karen, I thought Obimin already have vit c and and folic acid leh, my gynae told me to take obimin enough liao, no need extra folic acid.
Im currently taking calcium and obimin only, doc havent gave me any fish oil yet..

tink it doensn't only contain DHA.. doc say eat liao will help bb in good brain development - make them clever.. dunoe how true issit. Anyway i so lazy dun tink i'll take v regularly, esp since so mafan stil mus try adding it into soup for me.

wahahaa.. same leh, she got me to get the fish oil lor.. then ask if i wan to change to the sugar coated multivit but i stay on with the old one cos she say the sugar coated one cannot be breaked up.. Remm?? i need to cut my multivit into 4 pieces before taking.

That is alot of supplements. bt if it is good for bb i really don mind taking. Cause i think my bb is small and i am getting over weight. i am the heaviest among you girls. and my legs are starting to feel the strain. i am 1.59m and already 54 kg. scary.

Anyone seen stretch marks on themselve yet?

do u like milk? If u do, u can try to drink those preggie milk like from Dumex etc... it shd includes all the necessary. For me, i only take HL milk and soya bean milk. My gynae said no need fish oil coz my last preg i did ask him...

Now Jovial caretake is my grandma.. i every mth give her $200 if got more then i give $300.. she say is engh already. After #2 come out i also hope to give my grandma take care leh.. but nd to discuss with hubby. Coz my grandma teach Jovial alot of things and my young siblings can play with him. somemore my grandpa and sis's bf (sis'd bf staying with my grandparents)also know how to take care bb.. is a blessing.Grandma wun ask much from me coz she knw my situation.. Wun hire maid.

i dun really fancy milk but i can stil drink. I'm now taking EnfaMama choc milk at night only.. but since doc ask me to take twice i try to drink fresh milk or soya bean in the morning. Fish oil is not a mus i gues but for parents who wan e best for their kids then mayb will be more 'on' lor. I forsee i wont take for long =P since i hate pills so much.
 
wonder if guava is ok to take frequently? i'm like taking it almost everyday now. If its liang, then i shd start cutting down liao

Aiyah don't envy my height. my younger sis is taller than me... its in the genes lor but accompanying with my height is a set of health probs, called Marfan syndrome (i kid u not). our connective tissues are too lax so u get heart, bones, and eye probs. also very prone to stretch marks. Nah i am too awkward to model.

Vincy, Lovedogs, i got married in oct 06. the cake was in my mum's fridge till this yr CNY. :p but she said she threw it away. cakes with brandy can be kept for a long while in the freezer compartment.

ur grandma is so nice to help u. will it be tough on her to have 2 to look after and have to manage housework?

my mum did not ask for this amt but this is abt the mkt rate and also, i did not compensate her when she cook my gal's meal...so i find $800 is reasonable. But when number 2 arrives, i will have extra burden due to maid and childcare.

those with maids, can you please advise what is the estimated monthly expenses? Salary + levy + expenses on the maid? thanks... btw, what kind of tax rebate do we get from maid expense?

as i mentioned earlier u can try the Breathe Right Strip. its safe for pregnant woman and it does work.. Can put it at night before u sleep. I also hav to use mouth to breathe when i sleep at night.

Bear, obimin contains folic acid liao.. So no need to take extra according to my gynae. Folic is more impt during 1st trim.
I'm also taking neurogain fish oil. Cost abt $34 for a bottle of 30 capsules. Wonder where can we get cheaper price? I see from t packaging tat its imported from msia, so wonder if it is sold cheaper in msia??
