I only called mrs wong once after i delivered and guess i was lucky as she picked up her phone when i called. i have to agree she appears to me to be super bz leh... sorry to hear abt ur delivery experience. how can they get the delivery man into the room when u r inside pushing! pengz! i will go mad leh...

You gals so on to attend all these lessons. I din't attend anything when preg, only the 1 day lesson in TMC when I gave birth. Was too lazy, only read up books, internet, forums ....

reddates,

heehee...guess it depends on individual
happy.gif
for me most impt is i wanted hb to learn so he can help me throughout the preg period, delivery and when the bb arrives. they will teach the hb the right way to massage u during the preg period, also how to assist u in the delivery ward. even teach the correct way to assemble a bottle after sterilizing, how to mix FM milk, how to carry bb, how to change diaper etc... quite fun actually when i think back
happy.gif
made some frens there too

Lovedogs,

To think of it, I dunno how I managed to go through everything, just learn as it goes.. haha think every woman should have the basic instinct to take care of own's flesh and blood. My hubby oso learn as he goes .

reddates,

yes, the instinct will eventually take over. i guess after that, i also learned from the CL as well.

i did not bathe my bb until the following day when the CL left. hahahaa... every day i juz let CL take care of bb while i rest or surf or watch canto serials... i even went out shopping and left CL and bb. coz at that time, i know the day when CL leaves, i will have no time to myself anymore... this time round, i hope to keep CL for 40 days...so can rest more i hope...

Hello gals, makaned?

Lovedogs/Reddates, i have a fren who said the exact same thing, as in all women shd have motherly instinct. would instinctively know wat to do. but when she gave birth, she didn't know how to do a lot of things. told me she regretted not going for classes. Another of my col also told me that the antenatal classes very useful for him as he could help his wife a lot. no excuse not to help since he went for classes!

Re: Prenatal class

I would say is a veri useful class. but when cuming to the breathing tech hor.. i think when u in labour .. u will nt remember. haha..

Last time when I dunno anything, I ask my mum/mil or mothers here. I did not bath my boy till after my confinement oso, was really very tiring to take care of my boi during the nite, think this time round would engage a full day/nite CL, last time only engage from Mon-Fri 9-5pm. n

Must really recuperate and rest , enjoy, if not got 2 kids very hard to relax liao

Hi ladies,
I attended Mrs Wong anternatal class previously. It helps us alot on how to handle and take care of bb esp when i dun have a CL.No regret to sign up the class as we are 1st time parent.

hihi, i wanna join in e class too... any news count me in k =D

lovedogs, we were mentioning abt e seminar tmr at suntec organised by cordlife de..

Yah, I also think the class will benefit my DH & so me & bb
happy.gif

U know, sometime DH will not listen to wives' instructions but will tends to follow others'. Anyway tats how my DH is sometimes so to avoid any disagreements of handling our bb, i think it's gd for 1st timer parents to attent antenatal class lah.

jenn,

thanks... i did not sign up cordblood banking for my 1st bb and regretted. hence, for this bb, i am definitely signing up. Do let me know if there is any good deals ok... coz tmr i wont be able to go as i have to attend a fren's bb's 1st Birthday party.

hi ladies,
sorry for being MIA for awhile, been pretty busy lately. me just had a huge burger for lunch, really full now!! i am also looking around for suitable antenatal class. prob book that for sometime in 2nd tri. Just gota decide on which antenatal class to sign up for.

Hi,

Was resting today at home as I was not feeling too good.

I heard both horror and good feedback on SGH. Foetunately for me, my younger sister works in SGH (quite senior position) and her hubby who is a doctor at CGH is a good fren of the gynae I am seeing. My younger sis is also seeing him and he has been very patient and careful with me. A good fren of mine delivered his twins at SGH and said that the nurses were not too bad.

Mu hubby will be meeting Dr Tan at my next appt and if he is comfortable with him than we will stick with him. If not, I may change to see Dr Fong. Only problem with Dr Fong is that he can operate out of 2 hospital: Mt A, Mt E and TMC. My concern is that if he has a few deliveries on the same day and different hospital, than how? I rather not take that risk, that's why went to see Dr Tan at SGH 1st. Let's see what hubby says after meeting him.

dmk>> congrates~

peeps>> now i m gog to wk 12. do u think i shld make the booking for Mrs wong antenatal class now? scared i wont be able to get her class..

I'm also interested in a private class by Mrs Wong. So if you all manage to secure a class, let me know because I'm interested to join too!

I attended Mrs Wong class and I did enjoyed. She is also very nice and would returned my call (tho one day later) when I have queries on breastfeeding.

Have a great wkend, ladies!

Hi mummies, have a nice weekend!! So many posts yesterday!

2nd baby: My fren who attended pre-natal classes said that most of the things she & her DH cannot remember already so I am still thinking whether worth to go or not...

hi mummies, just to say hi again. Btw, just went for my check up again today and i'm abt 8weeks into the pregnancy now. fetal heartbeat is visible and so the CRL of the baby is ard 13mm now. I'll be going for my next check up in 4 weeks time.

Oh ya, any mummies opting for c-section or all of u girls going for natural? share share leh

milkshake
I'm hoping to go for natural. As natural as I can take. LOL! I'm pro-old school la. I am even thinking of cloth diapering. Hee.

karen, wah...u have my utmost respect. hee hee i'll most likely opt for c-section since my 1st baby was via c-section. My cervix didn't open at all so no choice.

will u be looking after your baby full time in future???? cloth diapers sound really tedious.

Hi Everyone!
Going for my check up on Mon, hope can hear bb heartbeat.

Enne,
I cannot walk too long or climb up stairs, will feel very "chuan" or feel faint and tired. So I try to minimize walking too much, my gynae ask me not to walk too long or spent too much time shopping ;p

I will opt 4 c-section as my first 1 is c-section as well.

milkshake
Hmm, we still don't know if I will be looking after bb full-time. Will be looking after my toddler full-time, hee, but that's probably in 5 years'' time. Looking at things now, think I will go back to work after 6 months or so. With work then I can have car & maid. Hee.

Halo Nov MTBs,
Here is my most sincere wishes and prayers for your smooth pregnancy and delivery of a healthy and happy child in Nov.
Would someone please remove my name from the list? We had a D&C last Fri.

Gd Morning Ladies! New week again....

Welcome dmk! U wanna give us your EDD, gynae info etc, so tat we can add to the table? Me need to chg my EDD on t table too.

Went for checkup last Sat. BB measured at 2.8cm, 9 wks+. EDD was pushed a couple of days back. Haizz... Feel disappointed lay, still at 9 wks onli. Another mth b4 MS goes away.

Anyone attended the CordLife seminar last wkend? How was it? I didn't register for it, cos I dun tink i can make it thru t 4hrs seminar... Having bad MS still.

Hi everyone,
It's the most dreaded day of the week, hope will be a great week ahead for all of your.

PJ,
Sorry to hear that, most important things to do now is to take good care of yourself, if possible do a mini-confinement for a week or so , so that your body will recuperate and prepare urself for the next "adventure" HUGZ!!!
