ya lor just started new job so can't surf the forum so much during the day. see now i sneak in again at lunchtime, haha

Jes, yeah still busy as ever.. have a bit of a break now while waiting for chapters to come back from supervisors.. then it will be a mad rush again to complete it in time.

I cut my boy's pacifier ... first, cut the tip off .. few days later cut another 5mm away .. he is slowly losing interest in his pacifier .. few days later cut another 5mm, by then he almost cant put it in his mouth anymore and eventually threw it on the floor whenever we offer it to him.
After tt, when he goes sch .. he tends to pull pacifier from other children's mouth and wanna put it in his mouth .. u jus got to take note and stop him in time.

Darlest, i am lucky lor. We just stop giving her t paci and she oso forgot abt it
One way is to make her really tired.. then she'll auto forget abt her paci. I have not succeed fully, cos she's now skipping naps probably cos no paci to comfort her

i tink T1 is more of learning it from school de.. haa. all the bad habits.. nowadays when angry or dont get wat he want.. he beat or scratch pple. omg.. & the NONONO is been awhile ago liao..i still tink Lucas is still more guai compare with my T1. haa... even sometimes sit down and eat oso make alot of noise whereas Lucas & nini wont leh... i'm more of immune to it.. will just leave him alone.. whereas if my mum or mil see . they will give in.. wahaha..

V was off the paci at the time when she was biting them and i basically just forcefully threw away the last one she bit off and "forced" her to quit. her naps oso went haywired in the beginning but aft a while she got used to it and was back to normal. need some time bah, jia you!

thanks everybody for the kind wishes. kai can walk around without slippers now but the red spots r still all over. i guess he has to stay at home right until mon when he goes back to school. my mum keeps saying discouraging things like don't expect anything great from his exams blah blah.
lian, jes: i never noticed princess K & V using paci b4. but lian, chin up. she will sleep eventually when she's tired. rachel used to cry & cry looking for me when i first went back to work. in the end, cry until so tired, fell asleep.

Would Kai feel more discouraged on hearing your mum comments? Nowadays I wld think parents cant give too much stress on children .. very scary on how they wld feel being stressful and discouraged. I thought cld only encourage them to do better next time round but no discouraging comments.

Jo, old folks believe that kids can not be praise too much they will get arrogant and by discouraging words they will work even harder...
At least that was what my parents thought so for me i am always v discourage haha... bt that method didn't work on me. i guess for our children also depends on each individual.
Bt i like to praise more than discourage, the Praise and loving method work for Issac.

mummy2nia: selamat hari raya
i'm happy now cos kai is ok & back in school today. my Luke got hfmd & spread to the other 3. even Kai got it. & got it the most painful. so one thing we know now, children of all ages can get it. thankfully the kids who came to my house didn't get it.
lian, minky, jo, happy, jes: yes, my mum is v discouraging. maybe cos he did quite well in P1 so it's downhill all the way. sharing my experiences here is rather early but who knows, u all may benefit from knowing all this. @ least those who have sons would think twice abt putting them in maris stella

she said she will check if got excess & get back to me. busy lady. but v nice. she stay near to aly_nat but i like to join her spree cos she's v honest & won't cheat ppl.

Yup.. Q had it since sometime ago and he loves it! I'm kopi/teh + kaya toast fan so will bring Q to Yakun sometimes.. He likes soups and the half-boil eggs texture a bit like soup.. everytime we feed him the eggs he will shout 'soup soup', 'more more'..
