MIL ask BIL to send niece to MIL's mum place nearby but he insist to send her over, knowing Lucas is sick .. thats what MIL say. If it has to be like tt, MIL at home shld watch closely so that they dun get too close together. Its MIL who shared Lucas milk in the evening.

Last nite .. hb bought mi 'Cinammon Melt' from Macdonalds ... very yummy ... we never knew got such nice food till his colleague treat him to one few days ago.

i think u too "duo sin" liao abt ur hubby shower u with flower. peanut, why not u go do the IUD instead of avoiding the "SXX" thing, at least u can enjoy the special moment with ur HB.
the IUD can be inserted during pap smear. no need go thru surgury. & my gynae told me is 100% & can last for 5 years before u change again. & if u decide to be preggy again, u can easily remove it.
i forgot abt the cost. i can sms her to check on the price if u keen.

check with u all ah, can preggy lady like me eat the century egg? coz got craving now.. i know i shld avoid raw food. during my 1st pregnancy, blur blur.. didnt know i cannot eat raw food & i love sashmi, so HB bought sashmi for me & i end up sick with contamination & fever & vomitting. so "xin ku" tat time..
 
lynn, jia you! IM SURE b will be OK. if he has eye contact, he definitely DUN HAVE austism. im sure he is just abit slow. i keep B in my prayer too, im sure GOD will protect him.

poor jo, hug hug, hope lucas has a speedy recovery. sat nite, my gal not able to sleep well, keep waking up crying, so on sun, i check on her & saw her mouth hav one small ulcer & her lips abit red, think she abit heaty. cooking the china barley for her now.. last nite, she keep waking again crying..
like zombie now..

not bad.. the fish dun have fishy taste & very crispy. the fries are crispy too but i feel the fries slightly oily but my HB feel ok.
hav been having craving & eating for fish & chip recently. MAD JACK is the fourth time i ate fish & chips. my hb ate the lasi lemak cost $7.90, also not bad, but the chilli not spicy enuf. the service is gd, while we having ur meal half way thru, the waiter will come & ask us how our food & all. & they dun hav 10% service charge. but my HB got give them some tips.

have to redo again tmr. coz wanna giv my gal drink. she abit heaty..

aly_nat, when boiling the china barley, must put in the "dong gua tiao" anot or the rock sugar?
or no need but just add in abit of the lemon/lime after boiling?
 
re: flashcards

Nowadays whenever I need Lucas to pay attn to flashcards, I will tell him I will give him sweets later. So when I tell him ok read ur cards already .. he will jzu tell mi sweets .. I say ok wait first. So he will guai guai sit on my lap .. and juz nod his head after I read the word on each card and soon after 4-5 cards (which I usually show), his attn span is up and gg for sweets corner liao. Dunnoe whether the 5 words had gone into his mind anot .. haha.

I usually add in the tong gua tang when I start boiling the barley. I was told the tong gua tang is also liang, so is suitable to reduce heatiness. Also, cannot boil the barley too long until the water turn milky hor. If boil too long, the barley drink will become heaty instead. As long as barley is soft enough to be eaten and the water majiam like rice water, can liao. Then must strain the barley once u turn off the flame, if not the barley seeds will soak up the water. Like that wasted some lor. With tong gua tang, I don't add rock sugar anymore. My girls are trained not to take sweet stuff.

One thing I do to avoid long boiling time, I usually wash the barley seeds, then soak it in water together with the tong gua tang for about 2/3 hours before cooking.
 
aly_nat, i did all t stupid things... I let my barley boil until turn milky, and then leave it there till t barley soak up all t water -_-"

Darlest, Century egg i ate la... although we were told not to eat preserve stuff... my doc told me to eat what ever i like just that if i eat sashimi must be from a good and clean source.. everything in moderation. if u hav dizzy spell you might want to take more green veg example spinach n brocoli and she also told me to take red dates good as well to replenish iron. of course if you can take beef, steak is the best... i don't take steak so i choose the rest.

Morning mummies ..

Sorry I need to grumble here ...

Had a big quarrel with whole family last night ... in-laws forever keep give him food at 8+pm when they know he needs to drink milk at 9pm. My patience has really reached the limit. MIL says we move back our own hse .. FIL says whats wrong with not drinking milk. Hb told them off and say why I make a big fuss and make whole family not happy like tt. I insist spoonfeeding Lucas milk as long as I can cos I believe there are all the nutrients which he might not get in his food. Was very angry with all and cried for nearly three hrs before I took panadol and sleep cos having bad headache. Came office as early as I cld with swollen n puffy eyes.

Living w elderly is like tat. Smtimes when I go kitchen to scoop porridge for K, my dad will give K biscuit to munch. His mouth will mumble 'Mummy say cannot eat biscuit, must eat porridge', but then his hands is into the biscuit tin getting biscuit for her. *bish*
For your case is ILs... so more troublesome to handle. Fully understand. Wat did ur IL gave Lucas to eat?

Sunday night - Cinnamon Melts, last nite - dunnoe how many fishball. Then Lucas is more or less full liao so reject milk quite badly. I agree its not wrong to give fishball but not when he is drinking his milk soon!
