finally is up!...

STILL my menses not here yet.. no appetitite, feeling super nausea & tired.. eat wat puke wat for the last few week, yesterday crave for beef noodles but after afew mouthful, i feel nausea & puke again.. only awhile ago, i suddenly have craving for filet O fish & order mac delivery.. to my amasement, i didnt puke while eating the filet O fish with fries.. yummy..
didnt have the courage to test whether + or -...

wat if im preggy, shld i keep it esp in my situation? *im sure alots of mummies will hit me, wat kind of question to ask* im in dilemma now....

Felt much more recharged after the quick getaway...think the quality time alone with hubby is really impt. It's so precious when our lives tend more to centre on bb. Tks for asking, Greg yest didnt wake up as he was sleeping with us! Guess he really prefers to sleep with us, rather than cooped up in his cot. Maybe will try to get him to sleep on mattress on our bedroom and see how he response. *cross fingers* How's Ger?

Lilian: Was hoping no need to get maid also if 2nd child & I continue to work. If elder child in cc & arrange transport, then maybe still possible?? But of coz cargiver will still be quite shiong lah when both kids around.

Jo: Me had not sent bb to any daily playgroup yet, also had the same hesitation wondering if shld send when he is like so young! Was thinking of starting 3 hrs pre-nursery for bb early next year after he is 2 yrs old. But he is starting the bilingual playclub this Sunday for once a week, so hope to get him 'exposed' to socialising with other kiddos.

Darlest: Oh dear, but I think u better test early so as to better make a decision? IMHO.. Otherwise you may get so stressed thinking 'if' or 'if not'...do discuss with your family also k...hugs!

Mummies ... I'm curious if all our toddlers are already going to childcare or playgroup (few hrs kind)?

Still hesitating whether to send Lucas to childcare now so he can learn something or let him stay at home till 2.5yo then send him to playgroup next Apr.

My cousin send his son to Agape childcare since 18mths old and he has learnt alot from there but their neighbour's son went to My First Skool since 18mths but until now 5yo, he does not know his alphabets well at all. I'm not concerned now as which childcare is better but is it the right time now to send them to childcare to learn something rather than staying at home and play all day.
 
Darlest, pls go and get that test kit lah. I m quite positive it will show positive result. hehe.. since u oredi showed symptoms.
And ALL of us here will feel happy for u de lah. So u must also be happy if really preg. Its a joy to have kids
 
Jo, i tink not all toddlers here attend classes/childcare.
K has been attending a 90min PG every wkend, for 3mths liao.
If u ask for my opinion hor, I tink it's beneficial to send Lucas to CC/PG, instead of staying home w maid. Find a gd CC. Tat day u asked abt Cherie hearts rite? Tat one shd b not bad.

Glad_gal, thks.. me oso brainstorming ways to 'avoid' maid. Haha.. Now wat i can tink of is to put K in full day CC, get a PT maid, and oso buy a car. V siong on t pocket!

lian: ur last option is the best. & u'll be surprised, full time maid may cost a lot more than u think - shampoo, food, medical checks. & most important, ur loss of privacy!

hv not started my gal yet, but intending to do so next year, cos i was thinking she learns nothing by staying home all the time, so perhaps next year may be a better time after she turns 2YO bah.

i hv a friend in the situation u mentioned - 2 kids, working, no maid, no PT maid oso. to me, it seems very shiong like that, cos end up she's always busy, tired, no time for herself etc... quite chiam like tat. worst is the 2 kids stick to her like leeches, so at times can be quite breathless.

better to do the test quick, dun keep yrself in suspense. kids are best gifts for us parents, so we hope u will accept him/her with love.

My son is going to child care next mth.
Agree with Lilian, its better to go to cc to learn something than to stay @ home with maid and learn nothing except watching TV.

I'm also along the same line with Lilian.
full day cc, p/t maid (if required)+ Car already hv.
 
I was watching CCTV for the past few days when Lucas is left at home alone with maid. He juz follow her wherever she goes doing hsework and he jus do nothing but watch what she is doing. So I'm thinking of putting him back to childcare so he can play around.

Abt childcare centre, I was initially thinking abt cherie hearts and carpe diem which is quite far away from my place ... and juz today I realised one of my fren is working at PCF little wing, 10mins away from my hse. I know they have the same curriculum as my first skool. But if I put him there, at least I know of a fren teacher there who can really update mi! But they have currently 20+ kids taken care by 5 teachers.

Now he is still attending zoo-phonics every sat for an hr. When he reaches 2.5yo, I will then bring him only to a church playgroup for 3hrs kind.

I dun tink its advisable to put L in PCF for the reason your friend is there.
If ur friend quit how? She may not b taking care of L's class oso.

olwen, yup cost of full-time maid is not cheap and they can gives u lots of problems. I hate having to take care of another person!

Too bad my fren is not taking care of the toddler class but her sch principal follow strictly according to curriculum, which is one good thing. I will take half day to take a look at few schs maybe next week.
I'm nt a christian. The reason why I choose this church sch cos my niece attended the nursery class and they have alot of educational activities for them so I believe Lucas will learn alot from there if he attends.

to make up for my loss of income (being SAHM), I dun intend to send Nat to cc/playgroup until she turn 2.5 or 3. But I very kiasu, already secure a place for her at a church kindy. Their morning session very popular, and I must hv her in am class lah. Now she attend once a week Sunday school nia.

Yesterday evening, after I returned from work, I asked my boy to take out a book and read ... he shook his head looking terrified and walk away immediately. Wonder how am I going to teach this boy when he grows older.

u shd check it out now.. sooner or later u'll still have to face e reality.. even if not pregnant, then something may b wrong with ur health otherwise u wont b feeling this way for past few weeks. Better to know what causes all the discomfort as soon a possible.
And yes... Soho will definitely hit u.. heheez... Dun tink so much 1st.. we're all here to provide counselling!

Anyway i was saying.. i personally feel its better to expose them earlier to classes.. b it child care, playgroup or even those 1hr lesson per week kind.. Not so much to make them smarter.. but to let them hav some fun while learning something.. otherwise u know when they dun hav anything to do they start being whiny.. However i disagree that those who attend playgroup earlier will be smarter then those who went in later.. It al depends on individual.. on how fast they take it e learnings.. My nephew only start playgroup at 3 but he's one of the top student now in Pri school (and yes he speaks only at around 3yrs).. As for ur case.. i also tink that e one who went to Agape jus happens to be smarter than e one who went 1st Skool.. not really becos of e school that he gets so smart
