U can try to get some pao sheng to double boil for your gal to drink to strengthen the immunity system. Like what JJmom says, "Hou Zhao San" is veri gd for eliminating phelgm. You can get the pure powder from EYS at about $80 per packet.

I forgot how much i bought it. But shd be ard a couple of hundred, 299 or 399, cannot recall. It's a normal digital camera, which is water proof. Haha... can throw it into swimming pool all. Keke... Great to take photos during water play. Haha...

The vtech Kidizoom also not cheap. I think $159 IIRC.

Bitter, then cannot liao.

Ling Yang, he smell only, run away. I try to mix with Ribena, Yakult, Cereal, all fail.

Only way i cheat him to drink is to add ICE CUBE. He see, he drink. Haha... then i reward him with a lollipop.

b vy careful with 'ling yang' esp for kids, it's vy vy 'liang'.

too much can b too 'liang' for kids which can lead to lots of health problem like asthma.

it will only do more harm than any gd, sort of like 'locking in' the flu &amp; makes it even harder to cure.

Adding medicine to milk:
I am reluctant coz there was once I use LY to make milk for Isaac, he refused to drink probably diff taste to him. And it took me very long to coax him to accept his "normal" milk again, aiyo!

my family dont practice taking 羚羊 for normal fever coz worries it being too 寒凉.

only use it for special case like chickenpox.

Am really desperate, just went to buy last week, I never give any 散 to my boys before, not even the jing feng san. The medical hall I went recommended one so called better grade one for me,with cordycep &amp; pearl. I read the instruction on the box is safe for bb from 3mths. Jovan is 7mths+ le, so i just give a bit to him. How he cant take that?

I have a Q here, why cant eat rice when having fever? Isaac is a fussy eater, i have no choice to give him porridge &amp; bread when he is down with fever. He happened to vomit after his porridge meal. Then my MIL go "brainwash" my hb saying I shouldnt give rice to him when he fever. Am very unhappy, I never know that rice will cause fever?!

My mum is also one who won't give Dylan porridge and rice when having fever. She'll just give him 'rice water' aka water extracted from boiling porridge.

Both my child were unwell during the CNY period, so I alternate btwn Chinese Med and English Med and within a wk they were 80% recovered.

I believe it shd be use sparingly. When the fever gets way too high, feeding the child some is gd as it help to dissipate the heat from the liver.

Even as adults, if we start having sore throat or showing signs of heatiness, drinking it will actually helps to worsen the condition.

It all depends on individual's body constitution. So far, I dun see any harm in giving LY especially when the fever dun reali break after doses of paracetemol.

I dun reali like the body system to be dependent on Western med.

If cough still bad, can consider boiling "Chuan Bei" + "Dried Mandarin Oranges" for 2 hrs and drink

I believe it will rid of the cough very soon and the good thing about it is it strengthens the lungs and immunity system.

The only con is it's veri expensive!

The sinseh Dylan went to, recommend using 北虫草(which are actually cordyceps without the 'worms') instead of the expensive 虫草. He says it they've got the same function.
