Joanne,
She might want to try those confinement agencies because usually good ones are booked very early on. I know I booked mine when I was about 8 weeks preggers. The aunty was like huh? so early ah? Heehee!

Haven't posted for a while because I'm usually carrying the baby.

Koalatot's still sitting in his Fisherprice highchair. Don't think he can fit into an Ikea highchair anymore, he's too chubby. However, if anyone is looking for a chair that can last a really long time, I highly recommend the Stokke Tripp Trapp. I have 2, one for each of my older boys and I love it. Easy to clean and ergonomic.

Are there any good programs/classes for 2 year olds in June? I'm trying to plan my visit home.

morning mommies

koalababy
the stokke high chairs are v nice but it is so costly in SG.

re: music enrichment programs
mommies, any of u did any research on local music programs for yout tods? i tried but i can't find one that caters to a 3yo

lately, rebekah kept wanting to learn ballet after watching angelina ballerina ... LOL... any good dance schs to recommend? i'm keen to send her off to a weekday, evening music class for fun too.

Good morning mommies.

Agree Stokke is v nice but so so ex!

Music Enrichment - Jelly, Vic attends Mandeville Music School. I like it that it teaches the kids actual music terms, and links with actual music composers. It is very effective as Vic recognises these music notes and can count the no. of beats, and link the music piece to the composer after 1 class. But having said that, she loves music and perhaps it does it. After 3 terms of Baby Music (Parent accompanied class), the child / parent can decide if the child goes onto take Violin or Piano. We will let Vic choose which instrument she wants to pursue. Fees-wise - it is reasonable I feel; around $40+ per session.

Dance class - Jitterbugs is great. If not, can send her to a Ballet class at Cairnhill.

ruffles
mandeville really good? i will chk it out again.

was thinking of ballet at thomson plaza by creastar. cheap... $215 for 10 lessons for the fun of it... want her to lose her bb fats.. haha... tone up abit as well

Jelly - I liked it and so did Vic. Went for some other music trials and felt this was the best.

You can sign up for a trial class and see how R takes to it.

The class has 8 kids and no they do not sit still the entire period. They are encouraged to get up to get specific music instruments, point to 'chrochet' or 'minum' or 'lentor' or 'Bach', move along to music in circles, and there is a music book where they are asked to bring out from time to time in class, identify these terms, paste the stickers in, or color (homework). Songs used to reinforce could include The Wheels on a Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Lil Stars or any songs our kids are familiar with. It is repetitive and adds-on every week. So every week you can get Wheels on the bus, plus chrochet, plus, Bach plus xx. She is with Teacher Loh. There is a famous teacher who will start a new class in Apr. Can't recall the name though. Buffy may be able to help as she is thinking of having C there then.

mint,
thanks! my friend wanted to ask those who have tried already cause she's afraid later no good. btw, she tried the malaysia no. too. keeps telling her she got the wrong no.

re playdate: you guys wanna do morning? I am ok in the morning or in the late afternoon...

Jelly - If you need a second code for the Gap give and get thing, I can send it to you.

Yeah... the Tripp Trapp is expensive but can last a very long time. I don't see my 5 year old outgrowing it anytime soon. It's so well made, can even pass it down to the grandkids.
