iamsnow n soyabean, my bb also veri kapo...eyes wondering around when drinking milk. Ouch when latching him. Sometimes even play with nipple after he's full. but they r super cute yah!
120ml last him 2 hrs like tat. ask helper to increase to 130ml today n see how. actually my target is to raise to 150ml but want to up 10ml each day first. Hope can tahan longer interval. Then helper tell me no need increase so fast... can *faint*.

wah, very qiao hor. we share the same bd and our ger share the same bd!!!! I born in 78. 1 yr older....
my ms dropping quite fast. almost by 50%. i think very badly affected by my work and tireness... now i taking out all the frozen milk for bb to drink. i mix with fresh one but she still know. sometimes refuse to drink finish.
i thinking whether is it better to let her drink frozen but not full feed, or supplement with formula, but full feed. i see she dun want the frozen milk, like no point force her... wait make her dun like milk will be worse!

So now no choice, ve to get one but he been dilly-dallying abt it, say waste $$, etc. haiz…. Graphic card I m not sure cos I not so technical savy but yes, hb plays games quite a bit.

<font color="aa00aa">TF, does the price include delivery? Coz i went to Courts and Harvey Norman and even get some quote from oth retailer, most of them had additional charges for delivery. Courts charge at $30 and Harvey Norman is $20. But the one i bought no delivery charges as the price is inclusive liao.
Initially i was looking for farfalla oso, that one upright chest freezer which had compartment, but then no x-stock at Harvey , need to wait 1-2 weeks. I was desperate for freezer tat time, so get the techno brand which they can delivered on the next day.
Btw, if you are looking for electricity saving, then fisher & paykel is a good choice. But their smallest deep freezer is quite big in size.</font>

most bb can only sleep through 6hrs, tats stated in articles. The so call "sleep through" is 6hrs and not like us adults 8hrs.

I tok to my hb abt yr frisco problem yest. he says sometimes milk powder purchase from different places may be slightly different. is it possible tat shop got the milk powder from malaysia? then maybe different.

My bb drinks 6 times a day, so meaning 150 to 175ml? Cos i dunno his weight yet, but roughly shd be around 6-7kg.
My bb dun drink the same amt each feed, cos i agar agar pour the milk in the storage bottles so my storage bottles the amt not the same but min is always 120ml lor.
Try to increase little bit n see the response.. dun increase one shot a lot.

my ger also wriggle wriggle & stretch & keep being kpo when drinking. she jus learnt a new skill recently n tat is to keep taking swipes at the bottle wif one hand & pull her bib/hanky from under her chin wif another. she is so super busy during her feed times tat it is a real challenge trying to feed her. i wish i ve another pair of hands to handle her sometimes. hiaz...</font>

The Distractible Baby

Latch on, suck a moment, pull off... latch on, suck a moment, pull off. Nurse a minute, pull away to smile at mom. Nurse a minute, pull away to see who just walked in the room. Nurse a minute, pull away to listen to the TV. Nurse a moment, pull away because the dog wagged his tail.
Sound familiar?? Baby starts to nurse and just as soon as your milk starts to let-down, baby pulls off and wiggles around in your lap. Babies aged two to six months are notorious for pulling off the breast at any distraction (real or imaginary) and tend to forget to let go before they turn around (ouch!).
This is a passing developmental stage that can be quite a nuisance - it's usually at it's worst between four and five months. At around 2 months, your baby will become able to see things clearly across the room. At around 3 months, he'll start to stay awake longer and take a greater interest in the world around him. Your baby is also beginning to recognize that he is separate from mom. All of these things can result in a distractible baby. When baby first becomes aware of the rest of the world, he will have a hard time concentrating on nursing. In effect, he will be unable to "walk and chew gum at the same time." Once he gets a little older, he'll find it easier to both nurse and take in the world around him at the same time.
Distractibility is also common around 8-10 months, and can lead mom to think that her baby is trying to wean. If your baby is younger than a year, it's highly unlikely that this temporary disinterest is self-weaning. It's very rare for a baby younger than 12 months to self-wean.
What can I do about it?
Many moms find it more and more difficult to nurse a distractible baby, and sometimes even interpret it personally ("I don't want mom any more" or "I don't want to nurse any more"). At the very least, it's frustrating to deal with a distractible baby. Less frequent/shorter nursing during this distractible stage can lead to a low milk supply, so do your best to get in a few decent feedings during the day.
Until this stage has passed, baby may need a quiet place to nurse and/or more night nursing until he's figured out how to deal with distraction. Do take advantage of night nursing during this time - it doesn't matter when baby takes in his calories during a 24-hour period. One study showed that older babies can consume as much as 25% of their total daily intake of mother's milk during the night, probably partly because of daytime distractibility.
Nursing in a quiet, darkened, boring room often helps. Talk in quiet, soothing tones (if you talk at all). Nurse while lying down; nap nurse. Cover baby with a shawl or put him in a sling to nurse. Nursing while in motion (walking, rocking) can also help baby to focus better on nursing. Try to catch your baby when he's more willing, such as when he's just waking up, already a little sleepy, or actually asleep. Baby's initial pulling off is probably not an indication that he is finished - just an indication that he saw/heard something interesting across the room. When he pulls off, try to coax him back to the breast a few more times before giving up.
If baby pulls away without letting go, keep a finger ready to break the suction as soon as he starts to pull away. You can also nurse baby in the football (clutch) hold so you have better control of his head, or nurse him in the cradle hold in a sling. This type of behavior sometimes leads to biting; if your baby bites, see When Baby Bites.

i guess so but my bb definitely drinking less. He is bottle feed 4x in a day ( 130ml) and latch twice. Total 6 feeds. even with 130ml, he struggles these days. i din increase for 3 weeks liao. I feedback to pd about his drop. pd says also. According to pd, peak for breastfed bb should be 3-4mths. AS long as they are double the weight from birth by then. Its consider good weight gain.
Yes, slimmer than pre-preggie. Maybe too skinny at the moment so no tummy. But sure will surface since i do have a tummy b4 preggie. Unfortunately, despite weight loss, tummy skin looose loose seems to be there to stay.

Ellysia, u're not alone! How many of u gals lost weight from pre-preg? I am still 5kg heavier despite exercising cos of my huge appetite! Cakes, desserts and lots of carbs. Somemore breastfeeding, so i tell myself can eat more. Sigh

Have u checked whether u have blocked ducts or blocked openings at the nipple area? I had that problem on my right so the right side was constantly under-producing. Finally managed to clear some of it and the production is finally evening out. And must drink more water!!! I chug abt 3.5l a day - used to drink almost 3l pre-preg so quite used to it. Find myself getting thirsty easily. And express after a hot shower. Can get more... Jiayou! A bit worried also cos i start work tm!

just now went to pump. heng my ms back to normal level as per wat I pump in office. but morning at home one drop by 50%. wah lau... think these few days must be really hardworking. else I might face the risk of decreasing ms.... really very tiring to pump... feel like giving up, but i know it's best for bb.... sigh...

Jenny, previoulsy my bb also had lots white spot under neck. Doc gv me anti-fungal cream to apply on him. Then gone.

hi bluecheese n Bonjovi, reason i want to increase his intake is because 120ml(BM and FM) can only last him 2hrs-3hrs during daytime. So I tot it's bcos 120ml not enuf for him. And I think if he can drink more during the day, he will wake up n drnk less at nite. Is this correct huh? At nite, he also drink about 2hrs interval.
