1) 1st Dollar = All Shield plan will nt have from 1st dollar due to the deductible n co-insurance. Tat's the medisave rule tat y can use medisave to pay.
2) Cash Rider = So usu, will nd to buy the rider or complement product (usu cash premium) to cover the deductible n co-insurance.
3) As Charged = Good only so far like u mentioned, Pru n GE has per charged plan rather than limits.

Nw is who is cheaper in terms of premium for Shield n Rider
 
TF, I think the pain varies... my friend, dilated 3cm, no pain leh... my SIL at 3cm scream for epidural. I dun know how my labour will be like... sigh.
 
TF, I checked already, Pru is cheaper than GE. But Pru is much more ex than NTUC's As per charged plus partial rider... I don't know if it makes sense to get NTUC instead of Pru.. cos I believe we won't claim from insurance that often for bb. Hb's company pays 70% of his kid's medical bills...
 
OH !! CORRECTION, TF! Pru is about the same as GE. Pru's cash compoenent is cheaper than GE's cash component. BUT Pru's medisave component is higher than GE's medisave component.

my colick told me induce more painful oso.. she had 3 kids.. all without epidural.. 2 are natural and 1 is induced.. n she said the induced one is bery bery painful... its like so artificial pain.. jus wanna make u pain kind of feel..

TF, thanks for the link to the H&S policy comparison. NTUC has already done away with the need to give advance notice before hospitalization and the need to approve doctor leh. I claimed NTUC last May (when there was still his requirement) and it was smooth claiming despite mine being emergency admission. I didn't give the 3 day notice. MY grandma recently claimed successfully NTUC for her day surgery also.. although she was private patient, she didn't even need to place medisave deposit with the hospital. She managed to claim her pre-hosp outpatient bills within 3 weeks from discharge. her post-hosp outpatient bill was paid for very promptly.

Pru also got the preg complication n congenial. Maybe they didnt update the website one. The brochure has. Remember dun sign up for your child until his condition is all cleared. Cos if he has any pre-existing from birth (touch wood), its better to stay in Medishield cos least they still cover. whereas the pte ones will exclude the cover.

i am now in my 35th week but i oredi start drinking coconut liao leh..i drank 2 last week..but stop for this week..cos hor i think a bit too liang for me..after i drink i start to hv a bit of cough.. but i didnt noe drink coconut can induce bb leh.. </font>

Beats me.. i too new to knw all this dilation thing :p But i tot 5cm dilation is too rush to even rush to hospital. Maybe more like she'll have to gauge herself if her contraction is getting stronger n stronger from here. Sounds like a mid-night baby to come.

I've been wondering where u get 77 names of June mummies from. U've been updating all these months when new members join? Cos the Yahoo has 50 entries for the mummies info and the baby's info only 38 entries.

my fren said hor..actually 5cm dilation still ok leh..not too rush..dat time she was 6cm dilated when she admitted to the hospital..then 4hrs later her bb deliver liao..n she nvr use epi..only use laughing gas..</font>
